[Script] [TWEAKS] V6 SuperCharger!!!! - HTC Rezound

I found this awhile back when I used to have an infuse 4g and I've used this script along with script manager, I saw overall beneficial results and decided I would post here to share with anyone that has never used this
ALL CREDIT goes COMPLETELY 100% to zeppelinrox, the creator of this amazing script!!!!!
I take no credit whatsoever, just posting here to share for those of you who are interested.

You posted this in the right place. Most Devs already incorporate pieces of this script in their roms. If you made your own script similar to SuperCharger then I would say post it in development.

Ah I see, thanks for pointing that out Hopefully some novice users will see and use this script that have not yet had the chance to mingle around with its awesomeness

This script is awesome. I use to run it on my droid charge because it was so laggy and improved the overall performance of the phone. But I think the rom that I am running right now has some of pieces of the script already in it.

Same here. I was on the charge before moving to the rezound. The v6 supercharger worked wonders for it. I haven't tried it on the rezound yet. Didn't really feel like i needed it. You feel this script works well with the rezound so far?

I love it on CleanROM GB.

This script was nearly mandatory on the droid charge. I still have yet to figure out why that phone was so stupidly laggy. It had decent enough specs. So far I haven't felt the need for it on the rezound yet, running Cleanrom DE and smooth as butter.

I'm running CRde1.4 too and I've got to say this made a difference.
I always get lag on nova launcher swipping to the left on home screen.. v6 took that away.

You are quite welcome, sir And as for running this script on any rezound ROM's I'm about to try supercharging RezRom s4 v2.4 which is a sense 4 based ROM build, so I shall see how that goes and post back here with results. Exciting stuff if you know how to use/build the v6 supercharger scripts correctly and within the right parameters. I used to fool around quite a bit with the Specific script on several other android phones, all dual core processors and what not, I have yet to come across any problems during my testing of it and I will be sure to keep this thread updated with my progress- or should I say testing, and will continue to post back here with new and/or interesting finds/ flying unicorns...We can't leave out the flying unicorns hahaha

I used this script when I was on the X2 and I would like to try this on CleanRom 4.5 now. Is there a way to remove the script if it doesn't help and/or hurts the performance? Would a nandroid backup restore the old settings?

From what I remember on my original droid, is yes a nandroid backup will restore your rom to the settings before you installed the script. I could be wrong, and hopefully somebody will correct me if I am.

Click on the link in the o p and there's a description on what it does exactly. I'm on my phone so I couldn't copy and paste it for you. Basically makes your phone snappier and eliminates the lag.

Essentially, this script/variety of scripts when used together, will help greatly increase the responsiveness, snappiness, and overall performance of your ROM as for it's speed/reliability, that is, when you use the script(s) correctly and as they are intended to be used. If you simply install the v6 supercharger script and leave it at that, the above examples of performance increases will not always work as they should. It will take some time setting things up, like using 3G TurboCharger and Kick Ass Kernelizer tweaks, Nitro Lag Nullifier, etc, etc, etc... Check out the link I posted in the OP about how to use and install everything and you will see great improvements, I promise Also, don't forget that to use the scripts you will first need to install Script Manager from the market and be sure to run as ROOT!!!
Have fun with this!!!!!!

Can somebody please give me a step by step way to use this? I'm on ics firmware and I have no idea how to use this script. there are 17 options to choose from, but the thread says that I need extra stuff for ics. I'm totally lost when it comes to this stuff. is there a flashable zip for this script? Or at least can someone tell me what values to use for each option. I want to use v6 supercharger and then use turboprop on top of it.
thanks for helping a noob.
Nick

nevermind. I figured it out. I originally downloaded an older version of the script which was not made to work with ics.
nick

So does this help make sense 4 faster? How were your results?

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with it if you want a snappier experience. I've looked into it, but honestly, v6 supercharger works wonders. I would just use that. Are you asking because of the option in Rom Toolbox? That's where I've used it from / seen it. Depending on what ROM you have, v6 Supercharging is a breeze. A little more difficult with CM7, no init.c integration possible I don't believe, but still doable. Have fun!

Any tweaks to make the phone faster and smoother?

Are there any tweaks that we can flash through CWM to make the phone smoother and faster? I came from the Galaxy S 4G, and they had this thing called Adrenaline Shot, which significantly increased the phone's responsiveness and speed. Are there any for the Amaze?

I use QuikSense 2.1.2 and use the V6 Supercharger Script and my phone is smooth and responsive. If you're going to use the script I recommend reading and understanding it completely before trying anything.
Testing the Faux kernel and things seem to have only improved here as well.

Are you running into lag with any of the current crop of games you might play?

Script manager and V6 Supercharger Question.

So I've been getting around to installing extra .zip updates. I've tried mashed up and the 8 point multitouch by moonshadow. I've been interested in getting the V6 (or V8) for my X2 on CM7. I've downloaded and installed both busybox and script manager. Busybox has been fine with no force closes but script manager on the other hand completely shuts down almost right away when launched. Plus on top of it, I don't know how to get/download the V6 script itself. If someone could please help me out and explain what I am doing wrong, I'd truely appreciate it. Thanks in advanced. Oh and I am proud to now be apart of the XDA forums. Love the droidforums app and droidxforums app. You guys are awesome and help out alot. Thanks alot and keep it up. Shout out to all the dev's making this possible too. You guys rock!

Dont worry about installing v6 supercharger, as its not needed and will decrease the preformance of your phone.
Script manager gives me issues as well with cm7. But as was said you don't need the v6 supercharger. Welcome to the forums

Cool, thanks for the fast responses. Well looks like I'll be uninstalling the script manager then. And no V6. Thanks again, feels good to be on the BEST forum IMHO. Got one more question if either of you two have flashed the mashed up rom or the 8 multitouch point fixer. Which one is better? I noticed the mashed said it would give better signal and all but I didn't see any difference. And I dont play much of any games on here so the 8 points is no biggie for me either. Thanks again in advance.

I have always used v6 on eclipse and other roms and really like it. However moon shadow was the tester for cm7 and he has said many times that v6 causes major issues. I run cm7 stock.
Don't get me wrong zep I love your work but before I try it on cm7 I would like someone to confirm it runs well with your new 6.9.

peoples posts have been miss read brotha lol
what they mean is that v6supercharger is not needed really on the x2 running cm7...
it's not like it's an official cm7 soo there are things about it that could be causing issues that have been mentioned.
on the other hand, I am on eclipse, I like to set my minfree myself so I edit the init.d script that nitro includes and use v6supercharger for all my needs PLUS the nitro lag nullifier and detailing...and it works GREAT.
it is also AWESOME if running stock rooted x2...
but with our cm7 there have been lots of complaints of lag when using v6supercharger but I don't think it's because v6supercharger itself is "useless" but more that our cm7 build just doesn't work all that well along with it...
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
I actually downloaded CM7 to see what tweaks there are but there's no special tweaks in init.d to interfere with.
My guess is that it wasn't liking the older adj/group limits.
Moon Shadow said he would test the newest 6.9 on Monday anyway.

Zep, you might remember me or not but I used your supercharger and tweaks when I was on Stock Rooted 2.3.4 but then Cm7 came along (can't thank you enough DZK) and word was it wasn't needed and could actually cause problems. After reading the posts and you taking the time to stop by and give you're input...well that's good enough for me and I'll be giving it try this evening. Need to restore my build.prop to stock CM7 1st and nand of course but will let you know how it goes.
And as always thanks for all your hard work.
Currently on CM7 with stock CM7 build.prop, Installed V6 Update9_RC6.9 with options enabled for local.prop, system integration and animation. Rebooted after allowing cleanup by V6 without incident. No hangs or boot loops other than the longer boot time because of the dalvik wipe.
So far have used options 6,7 & 9 with no problems. Using Quadrant, Smartbench 2012 and Lindpak all show improvements over non supercharged cm7, Quadrant being the most notable with about an average 500 point increase. I've had no force closes, video play black, music and browsing are all ok with some "jerkiness" in Dolphine HD when using option 9. 3g speeds using Speedtest averaged 2500kbps down/925kbps up. Also played Shadowgun with no problems but then I had no problems playing it before V6.
I wish I knew how to be a better tester but I can for sure say it doesn't crash the phone and other than what I noted for option 9 nothing negative.
For anyone with an X2 running CM7 I'd say give it a try and I'll be very interested to hear what the folks of this forum that are smarter than me (which is pretty much everyone...lol) think after testing it out... Keep up the good work Zep!!!

yeah I'm still on 1.0 cause its the best battery life. I've tried 1.3 and 1.5R2 though not 1.6 or 1.6.5.
1.0 is still my DD. Smooth no lag (though i had no lag on stock) and everything worked with crazy battery life. I have all of the Zips DL so I'll always have the nandroids plus the zips. The battery life i got on 1.0 (.25% drain per hour idle and 6-7 hours on screen time) makes me not need to mess with other roms right now. Unfortunatley i was not getting the same battery life with the other versions of this rom.
Also unfortunate he closed the thread right away as we're unable to thank him for a great ROM. I wish him the best and hope whatever changed in his life is good or if not so good things improve for him. Thanks Scott

Not me, I like CleanRom, I've tried Hyperdrive and really like all it's features but I'm running CynogenMod. Why? Because it works on my phone and NO TouchWiz ROM I've tried does work properly with all my apps and I can't figure it out? Apps that ran just fine on my Galaxy S3 work perfectly on AOSP ROMs on the S4 but will not work on any TouchWiz ROM and I haven't the knowledge, time or inclination to trouble shoot TouchWiz so.... CyanogenMod.
I almost cried when I read that message. After having terrible lag issues with hyperdrive, it looks like synergy will be my next go to rom when the update comes out which I will like because it will have more features than CR did. I don't like anything crazy but some tweaks that scott doesn't offer in his stockish rom will be nice. I am going to miss him very much though. Great guy and great dev.

Lmao, I loled when I read this... Good stuff.
I am far from a dev, hell I've barely been using an android device for a month but, devs have such a thankless job/hobby. I am not aware of one that gets money for anything they do (short of "bounties") yet, get ridiculed when something they do may not work for someone.
I appreciate everything, would love to get into doing things like this just have no idea where to start. I wouldn't mind taking a crack at making my own ROM for personal use and if good enough, maybe public. I just have zero experience, lol

I personally feel an odexed system runs smoother. The difference is potentially in my head though. It's not that substantial. But from a dev'ing perspective they are a total PITA because to decompile an app you need to deodex it first. Sometimes whatever tool you are using to deodex will get through all of the apps/jars but then stumble on 2 or 3 of them. It ends up being agrivating at points. That's why you don't see a lot of Devs supporting odex(at least that's why I wouldn't, if I wasn't. :silly: )
That's why I haven't released another odex'd GE yet. Since I am actively working in it, I didn't feel it was too important to run an odex script and build the system. Plus, people could odex it themselves if they wanted. :good:
I bought the odexer because I am pretty much using all of ruj's stuff lol

I personally feel an odexed system runs smoother. The difference is potentially in my head though. It's not that substantial. Cool, thanks. I mean if the difference is in your head, then it's still a difference, right? From the bit of research I did I understand the idea behind odex/deodexing ROMs, but always got the "vibe" that deodex was ALWAYS better, but didn't actually know why. I guess I'll give it a shot, at the very least it's an opportunity to support a dev.
So, I'd you run the odexer, then run tibu, and then flash a deodexed ROM...
Then restore the apps with tibu, do sad things happen?
Just wondering before I make that mistake.
Dubbsy.... If it's in your head then it's in mind too. LOL. I can definitely feel the difference in an odex rom. It seems like the phone has no trouble running the rome, It's just straight butter! Zero and i mean zero lag, super smooth transitions and to me it even seemed like it slept better. I ran clean rom odex for a while and still would be but I am a sucker for inverted apps and themeing.
Bring on a odex rom with beautiful blue themeing (blukuban anyone?)
