************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
So anytime I type something it shows me this ...

I can't even sent the touchpad to HP cuz I am not in US at the moment...

Found the solution...........

[HELP] Cannot delete anthing!

I have a huge and very strange problem with the TP.
I cannt delete anything of it. I can remove apps, install new apps, but after a restart all removed apps are there again und all installed apps are gone!
I've tried to fsck, but didn't work. I even tried WebOS doctor, but it stops at 12% with an error.
I can post the doctor's log later this day if it helps

Sorry for this - some obvious questions first;
Try a restart (PC and TP)
Press and hold the app you wish to delete the tap the x not working I take it?
Can you get into the app market?
Is you tp fully charged, will sometimes not work if the TP is not fully charged.
Also have you turned the TP off and put it into usb mode?
If all of the above doesn't help try a different USB cable, uninstall drivers (novacom) and redownload webos doctor.
Let me know and I'll see what I can do to help
ok, you didnt understand me. i can remove it. they are gone. but after a restart they are there again!!! totally strange! i can even connect the tp to my pc, use it as a usb drive, !!format!!!! it, after that it's empty, i restart the pad, and everything, which was on it is there again!
I tryed it on several pc's, of course i restarted it all, the tp's battery is fully loaded, I've tryed 300 and 302 of the webos doctor
the market app works
and yes, i used the dev mode with pad on and the usb mode with volume btn up

The apps sound like they are connected to your account then - one thing it seems to do is download any apps you previously had. Try going to the webos site and seeing what apps are linked to your account. If not search google for 'how to remove apps from webos account'
Try this site http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb2/na/touchpad/touchpad/wifi/solutions/article/22785_en.html
Here's the part of the log I can see after webos doctor has abortet

no one any idea?
I have the exact same problem. Mine started when the pad froze one day while browsing the web. It hung, hard. After playing with it for a bit I finally figured out how to forcably reboot it. However, once I did that, it appeared as if all of my account information (email accounts, webos account, etc) was gone. Going to the Accounts app would just hang. Bringing up email would hang.
I couldn't even download WebOS Doctor from hp.com; it kept complaining that my serial number was invalid. I was able to get it from the webos-internals link, fortunately.
Once I got into the pad's drive via novaterm...any changes I make are not reflected. It's as if the pad's flash memory went into read-only mode. I can mount a drive, newfs it, unmount it...then remount it and presto, the original data re-appears. I can forcably rm files, unmount it, remount it...and the file reappears. Consequently, Doctor can't reinstall, because it wigs out every time it tries to create and resize a partition...because it's just not taking effect.
My solution? Call HP. They're sending me a box and an RMA tag, and will fix it there. I'm betting the flash memory in it went corrupt or something. Most everyone should be within HP's repair/replace period. Yeah, it sucks that it'll be gone for a couple weeks while they repair or replace it...but it beats having a broken one.

Hi Terr0rist,
You are not alone. I have the EXACT same problem, I mean EXACT, down to webos doctor progressing to 12% then giving me an error message that my TP can't be reset. I had to do it on my windows 7 PC because my Mac (OS Lion) failed to installed webos doctor. It's 9:30 pm PST and now my webos account no longer shows my device information...! but it was there 3 hrs ago... what the..??!!
Anyone has any ideas how to address this issue? Thanks in advance.
You guys can try this, and fyi, wrap code using the # button when posting.. makes the thread a helluva lot easier to read

OK, I think I got this to work thanks to rwhitby's suggestion to run webos doctor in a command line. I found onebadtaz's instructions here:
http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad/295881-webos-doctor-12-issue-fixed.html
For those of you who are clueless (like me), here's how I got it to work.
1) Start button, accessories, command prompt.
2) Type cd "c:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin" and hit enter.
3) Download the Webos Doctor file at Webos Doctor Versions - WebOS Internals.
4) Place the file in the directory in #2.
5) Go back to the command line and type java -jar webosdoctorp302hstnhwifi.jar, then hit enter.
6) Webos doctor opens. Start the program and it will go to 12% and stop.
7) Open novaterm. (What is novaterm? I have no idea, but I downloaded it at http://tkgeisel.com/stuff/novaterm-1.zip). Extract the files (I extracted to my desktop) and run the .exe file. Select connect.
8) Pray.
9) As onebadtaz suggested, type dosfsck -r /dev/mapper/store-medi, then hit enter.
10) Choose option 2. I can't remember what it was, but that's what I chose. Select Y for yes.
11) Close Webos doctor and shake your fist at the computer and touchpad for driving you nuts.
12) Start Webos doctor yet again using the command line.
13) Hope your touchpad makes it through the process this time so you can select your language and cheer.

i have the same issue, trying it for days to get working again. maybe there is a way to install webos manually. or has anyone found a solution?

I've been trying to fix mine with the same issue for the last 2 days. I still haven't had any luck, but will post in case I do.
Another suggestion I had given to me was follow the step for 8% error from here Web OS Internals How to Recover
But that did not help me either. I've already called HP and they are sending a box, but I'd love to fix it before that happens.

> UPDATE < CPU - Specific initialization failure

UPDATE:
I did some research and found out that the nand flash memory is a
sandisk sdin4e2
this is the datsheet:
http://wenku.baidu.com/view/7e46ffd276eeaeaad1f330b9.html?from=related
On Page 17 it says that the nand has a enchanched write protection that puts the filesystem into read only mode, if something unexpected happens. this will be forced regardless of the commands you type.
Furter it says that the nand support emmc 4.3 that can be used to erase make partitions or give new parmissions.
Maybe there is a way to send commands to the nand that are listed in the datasheet. if so it would be just one command to set the filesystem into read write again.
SO IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS HOW TO SPEAK TO THE NAND WITH EMMC?????
hope this will bring us further. would appriciate it, if someone post a comment.
Hi there,
a corruption of the filesystem causes it to switch into read-only-mode.
Its now not possible to delete or copy something into the devices partitions.
If you try to webosdoctor it stops at 12 % and wont doctor.
in some line it says:

thats the code if you let it run in a cmd line:

We found out, that the partition table is messed up, and most of the partitions are mounted in read only. if we remount it as read/write, we can erase or copy data, but when we do a reboot all the data is like before.
a never ending cycle of pain and headache will await you.
there are tons of people out there having the same issue, and it will get more and more. if some developers could look into this it might be very helpful.
hope to share our knowledge, and find a solution without needing to ship the touchpads to HP.
Interesting.... Is this why the files in /boot are read-only and I can't follow the CWM guide? That sucks
I may try webosdoctor and see what happens.
did webos doctor helped?

HP Touchpad Bricked??

I use WebDoctorOS to reinstall but it's stuck at 8%...This is what it did:

[Q] touchpad is not going beyond 8% on webos doctor

i first installed android on touchpad cm9 alpha 2. that was working fine. after that i installed ubuntu 11.10 that was also fine, triboot.
i wanted restored my device and i ran webos doctor 3.0.5 for my device(hp touchpad 32gb). after that it continued on looping hp logo. so i followed a tutorial on xda about restoring 32gb touchpad memory. i ran the commands everything gone fine(i used webosinstaller >tools>terminal) because novaterm is giving me and error "arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow".
so now it is jus hanged on hp logo. it can go to recovery with usb icon on screen. but webos doctor says we cannot recover your device at 8%.

any help? thanx
This has been discussed many times. A search of the forum should have found the answer. You MUST run ACMEUninstaller to remove Android prior to running webOS Doctor. You run ACMEUnistaller using the same method as you did ACMEInstaller except that you don't have to put any files in /cminstall.
edit: I haven't installed a triple boot yet, so I don't know if you need to remove Ubuntu or how to go about it if you do.
webos doctor
did you install ubuntu through android or did you install it through webos? did you meta doctor your touchpad at all and create any partitions on the internal storage? also, where did you download your webosdoctor from? did you get it from the hp site using your webos login? you might want to try novaterm using linux/ubuntu instead of windows.
one more question, do you get any bootloader when you start the TP, and can you still boot into your old webos install?
You tried the factory restoration tutorial?
Just before I start, what operating system do you have? I assume Windows 7 x64. Did you try the terminal in /Palm, Inc/terminal?
