Pixel persistent display problem - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

THIS ISN'T YELLOW TINT
Hi, I noted that on my Xperia s there is the pixel resistance with yellow colors, in particular you can see it watching app titles in menu and changing page : you will see words not white, but yellow. Also with the notification bar, when you open it from the top of the screen also if you force shut down the last color that you see is yellow. You can see it in a lot or situation
Anyone knows why?
P.s I think it couldn't be fix by software update

[Q] Banding on black background in stock lockscreen

The title says it. I made a completely black picture on my PC, and use it as the background for the stock lockscreen. Despite this, there's a brownish horzontal banding across the bottom of the screen that fades upwards across a third of the screen, when it should be black! I thought this was a screen deficiency at first, but then i saw that this banding isn't there when i display black images in the gallery or anywhere else except for the lock screen.
Build GINGERBREAD.XWKE1 stock ROM, rooted, Kernel XWKE2.
1. Does everyone else have this?
2. Does it go away with an alternative lockscreen?
3. Are there usually this many bugs on new Android-devices, as there evidently are on the SGS2?

I changed to a black blackground too a while ago.
As I found out it is actually better for your battary to have a black background.

SOLVED: Notification LED gone haywire

It is the most peculiar scenario, but my S3's LED seems to have gone haywire. Usually I use the JKay LED theme or if required switch to Light Manager in case I want to customize the notifications for other applications.
Everything worked fine for me since the beginning of time till a couple of days back when I was on MG4. However, I flashed MG6 about a couple of days back and observed a green LED instead of the usual blue on boot which I chose to ignore. However, now I find that irrespective of whatever setting I select for the LED, it does not display anything beyond green/greenish orange for notifications. The charging colour seems fine with Red/Green.
Since then I have toggled the JKay LED settings, installed/uninstalled Light Manager/Light Flow, toggled the Samsung LED settings, switched off WiFi n/w notifications and any other thing that may impact the LED. I have changed kernels/modems, switched back to the old efs partition, flashed old ROMs.
However, the phone is stuck with the default green option and when I test the other colours with Light Manger, I get the following results:
Red = Red
Orange = Greenish Orange
Yellow = Greenish Yellow
Green = Green
Blue = No colour
Pink = Red
Purple = Red
White = Greenish Yellow
Cyan = Green
This makes me wonder whether the blue component of the LED has ceased to work. Has anyone else ever encountered this previously? If this is a hardware fault, is there anyway to get it replaced officially (phone is theoretically under warranty)?
Should have been in the "Help & Troubleshooting" section. Had to switch browsers due to a problem and mistakenly ended up here. A shift of the thread would be much appreciated.

Solved
I have reported the thread for movement and hope that some moderator will rectify my unintentional mistake.
For posterity, if anyone else comes across this unique problem, it was solved by formatting the Internal SD. Formatting every other partition (not counting External SD) did not resolve the issue.
What caused the blue component of the LED to disable itself and make it dependent on the Internal SD is beyond me, but the possibility and the solution exists. Simply glad that it is not a hardware issue.

Whatsapp convo "stuck" underneath the display

I know the title sounds crazy, so let me explain.
I've had this issue for quite a long time now but never gotten into it.
Basically, when I open a white image or whatever light colored app/background, I can recognize a Whatsapp conversation in transparency, almost like it's stuck underneath the display.
So I tried opening the recovery to clear cache and I noticed the same exact thing when the recovery was loading (light blue background).
You can find a picture below. The top portion is my phone's display while the bottom is a screenshot found on Google (cause I needed the old layout for Whatsapp chats).
By the way, the phone I'm having trouble with is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge updated to Android 7.0 (the update didn't fix the issue).
Thanks to everyone in advance
This is known as image retention or burn-in. It is a characteristic of OLED/AMOLED displays when the same images are held at high brightness/intensities for long periods of time. There are apps/tools/methods which claim to reduce, remove or in some way fix the problem but please do your research as there is a good chance they can make the problem worse or introduce new problems. I have not investigated further other than methods of prevention. Also, organic light emitting diodes/pixels have a given lifespan. The screen will lose brightness and color accuracy over time. Blue diodes will fade first, then green, then red.

Excessive red tone in the colors of the screen

Hi, I wanted to ask you if it happens to you that the red color and all red tones are too marked in this phone, is something very noticeable and even annoying to see sometimes because it does not show a real red. For example the YouTube logo, Netflix letters and in general everything that has red color.
Is there any way to fix it? maybe with a root app or with a custom rom.
Thank you (Sorry, google translator)

You can try adjusting the screen color temperature, setting > display > color mode and color temperature.

yellow screen!!!!!! help!!!

I just got this device..... don't understand the hype. How do I get the screen to show white as white? Not yellow. Tried all the suggested tricks. And adjust the slider to cool in settings. Nothing happens. I have read everything and tried everything.... Is this just how Samsung looks?
Maybe blue light filter is on?

No blue light filter on.
Did you get it used? May have been severely worn out. That or just a defective screen.

Yes it is used. My father used it only on vacations..so not So much.
May be wrong but have you checked in
Setting - Accessibility - Vision enhancement
There are options in there to change the way the screen will look.
ie: under colour lens menu having screen showing different colour filter when turn on.

Yes tried that also. I have tried everything but nothing happens. I had a friend over with another s9+ and his screen was just fine and with the same settings. I think it's just the screen that's broken or something.
I work with calibrated screens every day (I work in colour grading video and photos) and I must say that Samsung screens are NOT correct. I have an S20 ultra here also and it has some weird colour shift also.
My old Pocophone F1 has more accurate colour than these phones?
I also acknowledge that oled has some tint to it by default but I just find it frustrating paying a lot of money for these phones and not really knowing how my photos really look until I see them on my computer screen.
phone of my sister have same issue overheat then yellow screen !! I will ty to reset it and see what happen !!
we have just one solution just with always on display unlock with aod on !! and voila no issue with screen but if screen stay yellow your phone will overheat with screen issue ....
