cool if that's true, I'm still up I'm the air about getting this. I currently have nexus s on tmobile but would life to get on verizon's better network! Input thing 4g isn't available yet and the 3g speeds are slower than what I'm getting on tmobile. Any input our advice

I just called and talked to multiple CSR's and out of the 4 I talked to none of them could find anymore information or confirm anything other than BB's pre order and the fact that it will release with mobile hot spot.

They read rumors off the internet and many of them do not seem to be able to ask the higher ups if rumors are correct, they will just tell them what you have read on blog sites of people who are not in the know.

I had slim hopes as well. Sorry, but there isn't going to be a surprise release of a phone without at least a few days notice.
The Verizon chat representative was probably going, "Hey Sa'irah, I'm so sick of people asking about the TB, lets get this guy going. 'Yes, the TB will be available to order tomorrow.' 'Yes, you'll be able to purchase it as well.' ".

Just spoke with a sprint rep and asked about the E3d. The rep told me the initial date for E3d was july 3rd. The rep then went on to sassy that date has since been cancelled. So considering that sprint is not even accepting preorders or even announcing a release date june 4th is a bit unrealistic. Personally for me the sooner the better however I am a realist and a june 4th release date with the company not even announcing preorders seems a but unrealistic. A realistic date would be more a july/august date though I hour much sooner.

Why do people even bother talking to Sprint reps? No offense but they do not know any more than we do. Some info will probably be leaked online before the reps even know about it.

Truthfully, if this doesn't hit until August, I might consider waiting for the quad cores promised for the end of the year. At this point, August is 3 months away. If I only have to wait another 3 or 4 months after that for 2 more cores, that doesn't sound like a bad way to go.

why do people doubt this info. Seems legit to me. as far as sprint announcing anything they didn't announce the nexus till about a week before it came out so it is not hard to believe the same will happen with this phone. Have faith people cuz I sure do
I'm as excited as anyone, but does nobody else read "rough" as meaning "this is our best guess"?
This is RadioShack after all, and as it says on the very same screen, they have absolutely no pricing info. I simply see this as a RadioShack manager optimistically entering the date in since it's the anniversary of the Evo 4G and the release is clearly relatively soon.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up...

July/august seems highly unlikely. Recently release date announcements have been made roughly 2 weeks in advance. Ill guess we'll know soon if they keep with this trend with the E3D

Stopped by just to confirm my pre order since i had not received any confirmation. I asked the manager if he had any information on a release date, and he said the store "advocate" was in last week to teach the sales reps about the phone. He said usually when this happens it's a month or less to launch date, but he had no specific date at this point. He confirmed i was on the preorder list and they will call me as soon as any phones come in. Should be very soon i would imagine.

Yes, if it falls in the right hands. But most likely it will be a ota update for all of the Evo 3D. I think its too much of a hassle to unlock them first because the phone is releasing June 5th. MY OPINION DON'T TELL ME TO GO GET AN IPHONE, that joke is old, redundant, and futile.

That seems off.
store here in palo alto, ca have not had the trainings yet. They are usually about a week before release.
The guys I know at the two corporate stores locally (I used to be a sprint employee)
one of them's an ASM and the other a Lead Rep at the other location, neither of there store's have the 3D in nor info on the advocate program.
I can tell you tho that if its getting advocated yet, you'll see leaks on the net guaranteed and also, its true, once they go advocate its normally sub 1 month to release, more like 2 weeks..
But I can't confirm, I can tell you tho that the store I used to work at is a Top 100 in the enterprise and are pretty much first on the list to get/know whats up.
so /shrug no idea, hope so, but unconfirmed so far.

We all have to realize there are two types of people that work at sprint stores. People that are there that just do the job and tech junkies like us. Therefore, I believe everybody that says June 4th are people that read the forums like us. I really do hope it is June 4th but with little info and nothing in the FCC we will most likely be waiting a little longer.

I just have trouble believing that they wouldn't announce the release date more than a week prior to the date. June 4th is one week away, and it seems unlikely to me that it will launch less than one week after they announce it. I hope they do though!

I just spoke to my Sprint store and was told that they are doing away with the instant rebate on the 23rd of June so it may be on the 24th. They have not gone through training yet either.

I don't think week 4 applies to the 4th week in June. Nothing else in this playbook goes that far. Haus already stated my feelings, that its the 4th week in the playbook, not June. I don't think they would use "week 4" in the playbook to refer to 4th week of June, its pretty vague.

Yes I work at Sprint. I'll be in work tomorrow and can prove it. They have been giving us details about the EVO 3D and the View 4G for weeks now.

But wouldn't it possible this whole bootloader issue will push it back? the 5th may of very well of been the original target date.

i believe this has been talked about
the bootloader will come LOCKED either way
june 5th or july 20th
it will be locked and only unlocked by a OTA update or a "leak"

it has been talked about, or should i say speculated about. Truth is not many people really know the plan for the bootloader or even the released. So if it comes locked the bootloader issue could still push the date back if they rather wait for an OTA to be ready so a bunch of people don't start complaining. That is if that really is the solution. Again all specultions

both bestbuy and radio shack tried to get me to pre order it on spot when i asked about it
but i told them i wont till there is a for sure release date

yes its been "speculated about"
but honestly HTC/Sprint will not go through every box to unlock it
its stated BY HTC that evo 3D will come LOCKED
now that means if it comes locked then they will not spend the man hours and money to recall all the e3d's back and do that...
(i bet there are 250,000 of them sitting in area 51 or a 25 dollar a month storage shed some where waiting to be sent to each store and 3rd party vendor)

Just talked to sprint rep , she said the update for 3vo has already pushed out like a week ago , but since there was some bugs they have banned the update for now , but she also said if at&t is going to receive the update today then 3vo will get the update today or tomorrow!
P.S I'm just wondered how come there has not been even one leak for 3vo?

I can tell you why you should not believe what that rep told you. If the update was "pushed out" a week ago, SOMEONE here would have it, and it'd be available for download. On top of that, they wouldn't know anything about AT&T's release schedule, nor would they give the information in comparison to their phones. I'll just stick it out until it's released, which will probably be after I buy my next phone in June.

Sprint techs have no clue what the Hell is going on they don't know anything until the push comes out that day. Unless u got sprint tech/dev.

Funny thing is, I read one of those "best android phones out right now" and the best ones for Sprint were Epic Touch and the EVO Design. Of course some of these tech blogs talk out of their ass

Most TechBlogs are full of Apple Fan Boys. I create my own opinions. I go out and see everything myself. I'm not prejudice to phones, but I do hate Apple. When the first iPhone came out, I was like "That's a pretty badass phone..." Then I started seeing the updates come out one by one, and it was always the same thing. And I was like, This is pretty boring...
