Hey how do we change it back to English in this ROM? And what do you mean by "Theme" is not working perfect? It is working partly or are there any bugs!
Thanks

Rom is perfect for me , but slow .
I have INTL device , which kernel is better for me Rumirand's or your patched kernel?

It works partly.

This is sweet, good job!!

I followed instructions to the letter. Seemed to flash fine but it is now sitting at the black Samsung screen screen for about 20 minutes. How long has it taken for 1st boot? Tried re-flashing, clearing cache, etc.

change your kernel to rj's kernel and flash again.

rj's kernel says it is for International SGP not US. My SGP is US so I am not sure if this kernel will work.

Dont install . rj's kernel is for only INTL devices . Sorry i think your device is INTL and replied.

could you make a port for the 4 inch sgp?

I have the same problem as tsg2513, it sits at the Samsung logo and does nothing. I have a USA SGP5.0 and I flashed entropy's kernel right before I flashed the MIUI.

figured it out. i have a USA device as well and had the same issue. It was also strange as to why the flashing process only took like 5 seconds....
i flashed rj's kernel (so my buttons stopped working) then i restarted recovery just so the changes get applied. then i proceeded to flash miui. just make sure in the install options you selection USA keyboard patch and the install process should take much longer (that means its working) and bam.
EDIT: ok so the buttons light up but they still don't work. after booting to miui and sat at the homescreen for a minute or two, reboot and flash entropy's kernel.

Are you saying that after you re-flashed entropy's kernel the buttons work? Also, have you checked to see if the GPS works?

i flashed entropy's kernel after miui successfully boot up in order to get my buttons to work again, so yes

Great! Can you please check if GPS works?

Google Maps works, just cant get a lock on Navigation. also, just discovered that the launcher restarts whenever you try to turn on usb storage with your cable plugged in...preventing you from accessing your files on your computer

Yeah, I just flashed it a little while ago. Everything looks really good expect for a few small problems (as you mention) which I can live with but I really need the GPS to work to consider this my dailer driver. Here's to hoping someone can get it fixed.

Anyone know how to get the GPS working?

So after a couple of hours searching the web, it may be that the GPS problem is inherent in MIUI 2.3.

It is the latest version of MiUI (US Build but GSM only). I think it is 1.8.5

It seemed like you wouldn't get too much support but devs finally stepped up and helped make it happen. Good luck on improving it and vanish all those "what doesn't work" lines.

I said that, regardless of how it came up, you deserved credit fit being gutsy and getting to work on it. Now that it appears to work (can't try it ATM) you deserve more credit for delivering. Kudos to you!
Current Progress:
Now onto fixing the WiFi, torch and screenshot capture. I dont know what data is but I also have no data with CM7 FXP41 either, this could be releated because we are using the same kernel (edited a bit) and ramdisk.
Coming in next build:
WiFi
Torch
Screenshot Capture
Custom Bootscreen
UK Version of MIUI (Not the US one, the uk one is more like the real miui and the one you see on most phones.)
Xperia Wallpapers
Data is 3g coverage. It's a deal breaker for many people, so once it's fixed you can safely say you have a stable miui running.
Yeh, I know what data is and this would be like one of the only things left to fix (Most stuff is regarding kernel changes with the code provided.etc). But i also have no APN's or data in CM7 either, so....
Good to hear
I'll just wait till it gets a bit more stable before trying it
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
Any ideas on how are you going to fix the camera?Camera is very important u kno.
I don't know but they are working on it over in the Ray thread. It is something to do with the fact that because we cant get the source code for MIUI, we have to sort of hack the precompiled camera libary to link it with the kernel we have compiled...

[Q] Black screen on boot latest MIUI Italian

Hi all
I'm not even sure that's the right section :\
I recently installed the latest MIUI Italian rom (It shall be version 3.7.12) and it worked like a charm (installed with full wipes)... Until today.
I was simply browsing Facebook when the entire phone freezed.
I tried to reboot keeping pushed the Power button, but after Samsung bootscreen (not the one animated, the one before the kernel), black screen.
I tried to:
- Wipe cache & dalvik
- Fix permissions
- Re-flash the rom without any wipe
- Removing the battery and putting it back again inside
But no clue, no one of my solution worked, so I restored a previous AOKP backup.
Since I thought that finally i've found my perfect rom, and i've set all the apps, i'd rather not wipe...
How can I get that device fixed?
And PS: Sorry for my english

Yes, just rewrite my LGSystemUI, framework-res, and lge-res, with stock and deodexed versions of them, change prmissions to -rw-r--r-- (like other files in folders).
And delete 3minit/potato gradient from system/app (com.three.minitbatterysetting, and com.potatogradientapp).
Please, post result here.
Unfortunately
I flashed your rom as it is, without changing anything. Just to prevent making any mistake from my part. I can confirm that the LED still doesn't work as it's supposed to, at least on my device. The only difference I noticed was that with your rom the LED notifications worked every time I unlocked and then locked the screen without dismissing them while with Amiga's they sometimes did and sometimes did not. The fact is that the LED is supposed to flash by default when the screen is off and the phone is untouched but it doesn't with both roms. So I guess it is a KK bug.

Might be kernel related or system related. Why? How is the led turned on? It has a driver that turns red blue or green at an intensity. So kernel might be buggy or system might use it just bad. Try with stock kernel if you are using a modded one if you want to debug it. If it doesn't work it's OS related something is messing up the notification usage.

Yes, I do have a P710. It would be nice if there were many more checking your rom, so there would be more results. Could there possibly be minor hardware differences between bunches of the same model? I don't know what to think. It's a shame because you people create roms with hard work and we can't use them properly.

@SoulrainFalls I honestly doubt there is any hardware difference. Hmmm what kernel do you have? Also an app or anything can basically mess up the usage of LED.

Both this rom and Amiga's use Airidosas252 kernel. I know about apps, that's why I didn't install anything more than K9-Mail and BBM to check. But it seems strange that with JB I had all sorts of apps installed and the LED was fine. And how come the notifications don't work by default but do when I unlock and then lock the screen again? What I can see is that people are having LED problems even with stock KK .kdz. I think LG screwed the update(?) and that's bad for these guys that make the roms.

Might be bad update by lg or a glitch in kernel or an app interfering. Anyway this kind of glitches are very very very very hard to trace and debug.

I agree, hard to trace bug, but, just for to be shure, it will be smart to flash stock KK kernel from SoulrainFalls's country/provider KDZ. No matter wich rom is installed on device.

Just flash your original firmware from this page: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=21. Choose one from your country/region/provider, and must be version 10 (JB), NOT 20a (KK).
After flashing you MUST perform factory reset.

If you is on v10j, that is JB firmware...
When You flash KK, procedure for stock kernel is:
From the page: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=21, download your country/region/provider firmware 20a kdz.
From tutorial on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/development/lg-l7-ii-how-to-unpack-kdz-img-t2815176, perform steps from 1. to 10.
Between extracted images, is APPS.
Rename it to boot.img , that is stock kernel.
Place it to your external_SD.
Open terminal (on the phone) and type:
su (after that press enter)
dd if=/storage/external_SD/boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 (and press enter)
If you're not familiar with terminal, download airidosas kernel from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7-l9-ii/general/p710-p713-p714-kitkat-kernel-lg-optimus-t2889120

Unfortunately these steps won't work because I'm on Linux. If anyone knows another way, I'd be happy to check it. Meanwhile, I flashed a couple of different versions of Airidosas kernel and noticed a tiny improvement. First of, with both v0.2 and v0.2.1, in the Home button LED settings the preview worked fine while before it was cut off immediately and second, every time I received a notification, when I unlocked and then locked the screen without even opening the app that sent the notification and without dissmissing it, the LED flashed happily. I checked with both the lockscreen in Amiga's rom and with WidgetLocker.
In conclusion:
1) The LED preview works in the Home button LED settings.
2) The LED notification works when unlocking and then locking the screen without dismissing the notification.
3) The LED stays off when a notification is received and the screen is off, unless 2) happens.
4) The LED works on boot time and while charging.
These are the findings on my device. I don't know if anything makes any sense. Just a thought. I think I read somewhere (correct me if I'm mistaken) that in KK the LED function has been changed and while in JB one would only see the LED flash when the screen was off, in KK the LED notifications work even while the screen is on. Could there be a bug somewhere in this?

I don't know if you included the Hotspot mod in this but if you use the method of adding the "dun" to the to APN'S through the sqlite editor the Hotspot works fine.

Yes I have the same issues & after a few hours of phone being on it constantly rebootes
PEOPLE BE SURE & BACKUP YER PHONE + DATA + EFS & ANY OTHER FILES I know how hard this phones been if you dont backup ur file(s)You will have a paper weight
Is there any other user(s) experiencing the same REBOOTING issue after a few hours of use
I had 2 Backup to stock ROM because soon as it starts this issue , can't do anything but restore
When I ran this rom seemed good than I couldn't get Bluetooth to pair on my vehicle and than I couldn't get it to show anything on the homepage just the wallpaper and I could pull my notifications down but couldn't get settings to open.
I've been a huge fan of sac_23 on my S4 - sooo excited to try this out
Anybody get it to work?

Slow boot

I have the resurrection 5.8.0 installed (30 Dec build) and my phone takes about 5 minutes to boot. Initially it is stuck in the MI logo for about 4 minutes before the animation starts. I have used several ROMS and kernals and they all seem to do the same thing. I never had this issue with MIUI. Once the phone has booted, the phone is totally fine however I would prefer to identify and fix the problem. Any suggestions? I have already done a complete wipe, and tried various verions of TWRP with no joy. Thanks
I suggest you to flash the latest version of MIUI latest china dev, then from fastboot flash twrp, then clean flash rom + kernel. It takes about 30 minutes if you know what you're doing.
So basically restore then start from scratch? That did cross my mind... I will give it a go. Thanks. I will report back here.

Alright, im going to try that method and i will report my results here.
Followed all the steps within your guide, but that guide didnt work and has nothing to do with our slowboot issue.
Hardware related then

Didnt you change recently some parts of the phone? Like display/baterry and so...?
i think dat guy replaced display module
same problem here, touchscreen cant initialize on boot
4-5mins to go... all rooms.
to solve/ n - use old Santosh kernel, mm - use neon kernel, lp - elementalx
on this cores phone starts on 20-40s
and about recovery - use twrp+ 3.0.2-2 by mr_root

Mine to, it 2 time I had to replace screen. I'll give a test right now and report back.
Im not using the device anymore, but i think i had to replace the screen like 3-4 times, its very fragile, even a drop from small height makes it crack. Also without case its very slippy device, but none of that matters. From the 4 displays i used, which all have been touchscreen + lcd + the frame (as i dont like to glue the display, i pay 10 dollars more and its better) had that exact same problem, which is very long waiting for the device to boot. The custom kernel solved it, but another (probably better quality) display does solve it too.
