Toolkit for when the phone is released - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

Hopping around the latest HTC phones. Made about 7 toolkits or so. Looking to add you guys into the fun.
Look at my signature for the examples. Do not look at the MT4GS or Sensation since they do not have the updated UI (yet).
Current Plans: Update all my toolkits which will take 15 mins - 3 hours per toolkit.
Make a Toolkit for the HTC One V.
Possibly for the AT&T One X and Evo 4G LTE
If you guys are interested, then you guys will have one after the phone is released.
Let me know and tell me how you feel about it!
Also, if you guys agree, make my life easier and add all the links for kernels/recoveries when they are available. I have enough on my plate with all my other toolkits and wanna make this as painless for me as possible!

Sounds useful... AFAIK we didn't have anything like that for the original Incredible.

It's always nice to have tools to work on things. If you find the time please add this device to your list.

If this is what I think it is, I used it on the rezound and it worked good.

That would be great!

This tool would be awesome! I am not that familiar with the DINC2's developer community, but I hope it as good or close to as the Evo3D or when I had my Evo.

Ha, I was contemplating saying that instead. But to stay serious, this is pretty awesome. I might hold off rooting if the date gets announced soon. I think it was perfect time to get rid of my incredible since it's not in the list.
I heard "later this year" for the Rezound on a recent Verizon twitter post.... I'm not holding my breath. And even this link says "sometime this year". That's pretty vague if you ask me.

Ah... from the thread title I thought it was just about new phones with ICS pre-installed.
Why is it up to Verizon anyway? I don't need to get windows updates from my ISP. I don't get why things have to be so different on cell phones. (Other than greed and control, which leads back to greed.)
Rezound will be the Last to get Update as shown on Verizon List . Nicely done Verizon

I don't think the 3g/4g version did.
I doubt the order of the list dictates the order of update as we (resound) have a very solid leak of ics. Does the rhyme or Droid inc 2 yet?

I know, I bet if they were to release ICS tomorrow with Sense 4.0 and people would be like "I'm sooo pissed that they didn't give it to us yesterday! I mean, you know they had it ready, why didn't they just release it?".
People just need to relax already, have some patience. Also, I really doubt Verizon had a huge executive meeting/decision for the order in which devices were listed. Plus, with the Rom options available to you for it in the last couple of days - you have you're option RIGHT NOW.

my wifi xoom has had it for a while now..they just haven't done it for 3g/4g version..
this list is essentially what HTC already confirmed? that we would get ics..
I'm glad I updated from the X2 to the Rezound. I was almost certain the X2 wouldn't get it. It wasn't a very popular phone, it has half the RAM as the Droid Incredible 2 as well I think.
The list is in chronological order, from oldest phone to newest, by manufacturer. No conspiracy against the Rezound.

I'm pretty sure the INC2 and the Thunderbolt have 768MB of RAM and the X2 has 512.
So it would seem 768 is the cutoff point, at least roughly.

ICS in Sprint e-mail

So did anyone else get the Sprint message about getting their Photon to run faster, which suggested clearing the browser cache? - Bigger question is did anyone else notice that the Photon in the picture was running either ICS or JB!? It was, complete with the new rounded click/weather widgets and five icons along the bottom of the screen. Now if they'd only distribute and release the source, it would make the devs jobs easier, having ICS/JB drivers.

Wow I read the first post and got all excited. O well time to keep waiting for ics
Well [email protected]! - I read the message and at a quick gander the very subtle differences don't stand out. Of course there's no reason the think those dip-sticks would use the picture of the wrong phone. I was all excited seeing the ICS/JB OS too.
Fingers crossed that new parent Google slaps some sense into Motorola and unlocks the boot loader and releases ICS or JB soon with source code. You know the expression about the chances being slim to none, well slim is on life support I guess.

And is there anything whatsoever in your experience that would conceivably lead you to expect them to be as early as possible rather than as late as possible?
That, of course, leaves aside the question of whether there's anything in your experience that would lead you to expect them to honor this claim in the first place.
Ah ! Moto at it again. With Photon Q LTE out with JB, it is unlikely that we will now get an update to either ICS or JB, even though Google 'promised' to keep hardware refreshed for 18 months. We will most likely be extended an olive branch of $100 credit towards another 'Moto Phone' ... really Moto ?
This is my last Moto phone and likely last Android as well. I am ready to convert to Lumia 920.

Technically the 18 months is not over yet. It has only been close to 14 months since the release of the Photon 4G so Motorola could pull something out of its hat and possibly give us a JB update in early January 2013. All these hints about offering $100 for a future Moto device for any 2011 devices that don't receive the ICS upgrade is pretty telling to me.

I thought HD voice was already enabled and that we only needed both phones to have the capability. Stability improvements for HTC sense too, gee I wonder if they're going to cook in parts of Sense 5 like they did when the original EVO got parts of Sense 2.0 just to make us happy. This is bs if its only a minor update!

~ Ubuntu Touch ~

I was browsing xda and ran across quite a few devices that have ubuntu touch os in development/working on their devices! I forgot how gorgeous it looked when the developer preview came out, I was truly looking forward to a working daily driver, back when I have the vzw Samsung galaxy S3. Never happend... I was wondering, does anyone plan on working inv something like this? Is there something for the G3 already? (I Google searched, xda searched, to no avail) I would love to see this on our device! We have a big community and I know people would jump on board to get this on there phones.
Id love to see that as well! Hopefully someone pick it up!
+1

Oh haha
Verizon (and others) and Samsung are hurting themselves by locking down the device hard which is killing developer interest so I seriously doubt it. And the developer version is unsubsidized and hard to find.
Same thing as the S3. Once Verizon locked it developers started to drop like flys...
Man I was waiting for Ubuntu Touch for forever... being a huge fan of Ubuntu I was super excited it was being ported to android devices! Wasn't it supposed to be officially released like a year ago... alongside Ubuntu 14.04?
Lol I totally forgot I started this thread... Glad to see more people agree, but yeah ubuntu on the G3 is very doubtful with a locked boot loader :'(
