ABOUT KANGXPERIAPROJECT
This ROM is a combined work of all members of KangXperiaProject.
KangXperiaProject is our noob-ish project to build AOKP (not port) from sources for Xperia line of phones, as Xperia devices are not supported officially by AOKP officially as of yet.
Members of KangXperiaProject are :
Supervenom , Championswimmer, Stelios97, Daveee10, Pikpok
(We both are extremely noobs, and not developers, we use sources from CM team, AOKP team, and Freexperia Team)
KangXperiaProject ROMs contain some added unofficial features in addition to AOKP.
You can find lots of themes from GummyROM and a better AlarmClock by Achep.
More devs willing to work are welcome. It will be easier to maintain more devices then
FEATURES
AOKP has hundreds of awesome features added over AOSP and CM9
a list can be found here
In general, what is different in AOKP is that all special settings are placed under "ROM control" and not mixed under settings as in CM9
Also some very user friendly features are provided, like on screen buttons can be switched on and off using a toggle, we can switch on the torch using power button long press and many such features.
Also lockscreen, task manager, and many aspects can be customized a lot.

Amazing! Great. Finally AOKP for our small Xperias. How about version for SK17i Mini Pro?

wt19i live with Walkman is not very different from mini.. Hope to see support added..
Good work guys

Cool
But i don't understand why do you guys release, that you all can't test, and don't know if it's working or not...
In this way, this will be only just a suffer thing.
No offense guys, just a little notice
Btw if you all need help, just write to me.
Sent from my SK17i using XDA

I'll much appreciate if you can pick Sony ICS or CM as base instead of FXP, and solve FXP issues, and maybe streamline the releases as STABLE and NIGHTY.
Personally I find AOKP very exciting, but picking FXP will only multiply bugs.

i kind of agree with him..more hard to solve the bugs that the rom has..if it works at all..the effort is aprecciated but is just a ROM to dont have proper support from developers. i still wait for kamarush ROM..thanks anyways guys for trying.

Didnt understand what you meant, but you see, I already have built for x10 ( the device I own) and supervenom already builds for play ( the device he owns)
We just thought maybe we can help out other xperia devices too so we tried building for other devices too (we are not rich enough to buy all xperia phones)
But if anyone owns any of these devices and wants to maintain these device trees, we would really appreciate that help. Its just two of us, so more maintainers are not only welcome but needed too

Can't pick Sony ics as base as aokp needs to be built from source
And cm and fxp are NOT different
Fxp is the maintainer for all Xperias inside cm project. The official cm for xperia is maintained by fxp only.

If all goes good and I find out some time, it'll come soon for both those devices

Can you take some stuff from the official Sony ICS like FM Radio and fixed sensor libs and integrate those into this? That would make this a kickass ROM. Kamarush is leaving 2011 Xperia scene so we need some new people to take it up

no need for recovery
just flash rom using fxp's recovery, then fastboot boot the given boot.img (not flash)
anyways i am making some framework changes (merging some of supervenom's commits)
i will put up another build in some time
maybe that will have fewer errors
i do not have a ray hence it's difficult to debug

Nothing happens after the error--it just stays stuck on it even if you press "o.k.". The device doesn't reboot and I can't see the home screen or any of the apps--just the system error. I used sirkay's aokp v2.2 kernel.
The kernel in the package doesn't work for me. It just flashes the magenta color on the LED and that's it. Nothing gets boot-ed.

If you guys have a build for the Arc or the Neo, it is pretty easy to port to the Ray.....I know this isn't as good as a native build, but at least you will be starting from a working build.....
Instructions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1534656....
This patch worked for porting AOKP builds 35, 36, and 37: http://www.mediafire.com/?bpw79n16iixnvvi

i would do that if i wanted to.. but i want to BUILD...
native builds like fxp does...
porting is not real development
i used to do that till a few months back, but i want to do some coding now
i know all 2011 device roms can be inter-ported, but that's not my aim

Nice to know, that You're in kxp team. I assume that this topic is just to make forum clean, because build 4 was already posted by championswimmer in other thread
Sent from my MT11
yup, just a clean official thread. Now as me and pikpok cleaned all the stuff, I build the rom on my machine, tested and added to ota(Now mt11i and mt15i are normally supported as I have the device.

I know that You have ;-P
So just after installing build4 we should have any OTA now?
yup, if I will test build 5(when aokp makes it) I will add it to ota. Note that on any other AOKP ports you don't have ota or it shows error while searching for updates. If someone will make build from our github it will have all the features like here: ota etc - but I think it makes no sense to have like 3-4 AOKP roms... one compiled other ported from different device another with compiled kernel. Someone should take care of that

+1 to that
we can't really stop kangs or ports
but we prefer only one stock AOKP build... and since we make it we would like to be the only ones
and welcome to our new neo(v) maintainer
Probably You haven't tested WiFi tethering :] Turning on and off causes WiFi not working...

Without you aokp would never be as popular in neo as it is

I'm just asking again as I've never seen it made possible for the neo (v).
In the OP, it is written kernel automatically flashes with ROM zip. Really?
Or just copy pasted from somewhere and forgot to edit?

Bootloop
I have tried to install 5 times, Every time its stuck and bootloop. I think its due to the Kernel, my aliance kernel never get replaced by aokp kernel.

INTRODUCTION

Its another custom rom like cyanogenmod, but with much more features and customisations.
The development is headed by RomanBB who is a full time college student.

Supervenom , Championswimmer, Stelios97, Daveee10, Pikpok, mikegapinski
(We are not any great developers, we use many sources from CM team, AOKP team, and Freexperia Team)
KangXperiaProject ROMs contain some added unofficial features in addition to AOKP.
Like Apollo, DSP Manager Terminal and File Manager
More devs willing to work are welcome. It will be easier to maintain more devices then
FEATURES
AOKP has hundreds of awesome features added over AOSP and CM9
a list can be found here
In general, what is different in AOKP is that all special settings are placed under "ROM control" and not mixed under settings as in CM9
Also some very user friendly features are provided, like on screen buttons can be switched on and off using a toggle, we can switch on the torch using power button long press and many such features.
Also lockscreen, task manager, and many aspects can be customized a lot.
CHANGELOG
The official AOKP changelog can be found here

Hmm, I haven't checked if kernel flashes with zip package... I always flash clean images with fastboot, could someone check it ? For ex. flash a cm10 boot and after that install KXP zip and see if it will change bootlogo(and kernel+modules) to our KXP one

AOKP is an awesome custom Android firmware. (just like MIUI and CyanogenMod).
AOKP is based on AOSP and looks as vanilla as possible, and focusses on lots and lots of user-friendly features. What makes it different from CM is that there are many more user-customizable features.

Wow, super! You guys kept your promise. At some point I already started to regret the bought of my Xperia P. Not because of the phone itself (ok, the battery.... but overall ). But in terms of available roms.

I'm having errors when I try to install this package. Something about ro.build.product.
@EDIT
I used Amin and Fera kernels, because I can't enter CMX10s recovery.
@EDIT2
Fixed it by removing first few lines from updater script. Working smooth as expected, but WiFi doesn't start.
Worked fine after removing the status 7 issue. but wifi dont start and either titanium backup or Hill climb racing causes white led and restart.
From what I've read this has happened before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13710046&postcount=261
But I haven't found any fix for this.
Accepted - not even on wifi kernel v14

Nice, very fluid rom,
Had some random FC, but will try to fix permissions. Hopefully, it will help.
Also had a problem with wifi, but I'll try and apply the fix provided.
Thanks for your rom. Keep up the good work
I replaced wpa_supplicant in AOKP zip with the one from PACMAN rom, and the WiFi is working I'm going to test it more, but for now I can tell that it's very smooth, in fact it's the smoothest from all roms I tried on X10.

Are you sure you are doing it right? Make sure the wpa_supplicant you're putting in AOKP zip comes from x10forevers rom. If you made sure of that then post logs here so devs know what's going on.
