Beats Audio Troubleshooting Thread - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I had a similar thread here, and now its gone, mods?
Earlier I was trying to determine, why beats audio had issues working on ICS. I had come to the conclusion that it does work with certain players and with some. The primary player I use is Poweramp, and it seems it doesn't work with that, it has the most usable UI for a player which plays flacs and alac's which is what most of my collection is.
I have used Act 1 video player and neutron player which both work well, but just not as usable as poweramp.
And I just came across this

Seems like power amp has a toggle now, which enables/disables beats audio and srs. I'm thinking the toggle is viewable in the UI only when PowerAmp thinks its a Beats Audio enabled HTC phone, I'm going to try and change the build.prob to reflect the phone is one x and see if it makes any difference, anyone with any ideas please chip in
Edit - I just tried using an older version of power amp and voila works perfect.
I also tried installing the newer version of poweramp and checking out data/data and the poweramp files, there is a shared preferences.xml and that has beats_fx set to false, I tried setting it to true, however it resets every time.
Also trying to set build.prop to HTC One X, doesn't enable the toggle visibility.
Any input on how to set and keep the preference setting to true? I think that should enable beats audio to work perfectly fine.

As stupid as it could have been, under power amp - Settings>Audio Engine>Advance Tweaks ,
Disabling Direct Volume Control - "Turns On" beats audio, which otherwise it seems, disables any other enhancements to work, so there it is, its just this setting which makes it work.

Happy trying
what kind of instructions are these? are you asking or telling?
Telling - this is one of the rumored ways to minimise the cracking whilst making the ringtones loud enough for you to hear out of your pants pocket. I use another setting that still causes the speaker to crack (but less so than setting everything on full blast), will try this when I get back home.
(On the subject of cracking speakers, tho - I found that the Atom's LEFT speaker is usually the culprit. The RIGHT speaker never has a problem. As a test you can cover the left speaker with your finger when playing any offending MP3.
The cracking's usually worse with the Atom plugged into USB - well, if you put something THAT close to the charger, it's bound to happen methinks.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the sound card, since I get excellent results via headphones.)
does this work also in ringtones when someone call`s not in preview i have atom exec and when equalizer is enebled it doesnt work only when reciewing call.
just use ringomobile and midi tones, especially the ones from Nokia tone, (strain.mid and message1.mid) that should feed your appetite for noise

Because I like you can choose moderate
Bass=light
Preset=acoustic
Beer?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I feel that on the Optimus (V at least), the speakers are not high quality enough for a large amount of bass boost, usually it sounds really weird.
Once I plug in my skull candy, I love to put EQ on rock and Bass boost on moderate while I rock out to Nirvana.
The non-hassle setting:
1.Bass boost to Moderate.
2.Eq to Acoustic.
(pretty neat for all genres)
3.[Depends]Headset virtualization to Studio- it does drain out some tweet-ranges. Good to disable for high bitrates/flacs.
4. Disable all the rest.
(Assuming you're using DSPmanager and a pair of decent headphones )

I just use DSP With the following settings for all my music.

[Q] French S3 (GT-I9300) - is there a way to turn off the picture snap sound?

Hate it. It's there even when the phone is on Mute.
I would prefer not to root. Is there a way to turn off the sound?
If you want to silently take pictures using the stock application, you need to root and delete the camera shutter audio file in the system partition.
However, since you don`t want to root, your solution is to use a different camera application, such as ZoomFX:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.cameraZoom
This is a great camera app that works silently on the S III (if desired). I don't know if it has a free version or not (I've bought it).
There are other good camera apps there that are silent, but personally I can only recommend ZoomFX.
I know the camera shutter sound isn't present on all the country-versions of the S3. The French one has it.
Hate that it doesn't follow my system-wide settings for sound. If the phone is muted, then so should be the camera sounds.
Will check the app you mentioned, thank you.
Enable/disable the camera shutter sound
Edit /system/csc/feature.xml with text editor of choice.[Your mobile needs rooting]
Add following lines:
<!-- Enable/disable the camera shutter sound -->
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
Reboot, Voila, now you can enable/disable shutter sound from camera menu. Shutter sound option is right below GPS tag in camera setting.
Well, as for my phone[India], I could not find the file feature.xml. The said file is rather others.xml. I added the above line, loh, Shutter sound option came after reboot.
Thanks to you guys out here for wonderful tips!

[F-ZIP] [All Xiaomi Devices] SRS WOWHD TruMedia Activator | Inguz Audio

SRS Wow HD is an audio-enhancement suite made up of three SRS technologies:
SRS 3D: SRS Labs calls this "wide stereo imaging and nonfatiguing headphone listening mode." In English, it breaks down like this: When you're listening to headphones, the sweet spot is actually in the center of your head. SRS 3D widens this area of sound so that the music isn't so concentrated in one small spot and makes it sound more as if you were listening in an open environment.
Focus: "Sound-image elevation used in combination with SRS to create a large sound image"--originally conceived for in-car listening, this effect is designed to lift the sound up near your head.
TruBass: "Psychoacoustic bass enhancement to enable deeper, natural bass of audio source material to be perceived over small speaker drivers." This one's my favorite. Essentially, TruBass uses acoustic trickery to make your brain believe that you are hearing bass that is actually in the song but that the hardware (usually headphones) is incapable of creating.
This mod adds WOWHD configurations only if SRS processing was natively supported by the flinger

Ready to donate $40.00 to whomever can help update / fix firmware / Bluetooth related

Hello All-
I see there is SOOO much helpful information on here with regards to Android Car HU. As much as I don't mind reading I definitely do not want to brick my Unit. Here are the few items that I'd like to address:
Bluetooth streaming absolutely is terrible. Sounds distorted and not full range (compared to music that I have imported via USB) I did go into the factory settings to turn down the gain unfortunately it didn't have any positive effect In addition I would like to find an EQ that would allow more control over some of the lower frequencies. The stock EQ only goes to 62hz. I would absolutely love to find a DSP solution if there is / was one?
I'm going to try and attach the pictures of my build and model.
