Flashing ICS to unlocked device - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

What I have to do?
Currently I am going to
Relock bootloader
Update via air or on website via PC.
Will that work?

should work, but why you relock your bootloader? follow just the Instruction from Bin4ry with unlocked bootloader... works fine and you got root then

can you link please?
So many dublicated threads

You dont need relock bootloader...
Download the oficial firmware, and install with FlashTools (version 8.0).
Its simple...

Is it a different method with an unlocked bootloader?
Or just flash the ftf file with flash tool?

Just flash.

Just for Info about unlocking bootloader

hi all
i tested if SEUS restore the lock to our bootloader and rechecked my bootloader after restoring my phone to stock it seems that the bootloader stayed unlocked so unlocking bootloader is proved to be permanent unless you locked it again via flash tool and stock kernel for U20i
Minachvim
You are so wrong, neither seus pcc or flashtool relock the bootloader, you can reflash the firmware all the times you want and your bootloader stays UNlocked . The only tool that RElocks the bootloader again is S1TOOL.

i didn't mean to lock the bootloader via flashtool it was only to say that the kernel itself didn't change when used SEUS to restore stock firmware and noticed as side seeing that the bootloader is still intact and unlocked
i already know that only the steps mentioned in Spyder post with s1tool and flashtool can relock the bootloader but i tried to test SEUS if it does anything in that case.

relocking bootloader

1. Does relocking the boot loader via fastboot wipe user data?
2. Are HTC OTA Updates via Handset working in an unlocked bootloader state?
Thank you!

1) No. but if you have a custom rom or recovery, device will not boot.
2) No!! People have bricked devices in the past trying to OTA with an unlocked bootloader.

What exactly are the steps to get OTA updates again? I now have it unlocked and rooted (therefore different boot.img as far as I know?).
Steps back:
1) Relock bootloader
2) Push original boot.img via adb
3) install original RUU
Is that correct?
Thanks!
Your ok just relocking bootloader, then flashing a stock ruu from fastboot. It will overwrite custom kernel.

[Q] Not booting after re-unlocking bootloader

Hello.
I was in a custom rom and it was 4.04 ICM (I don't remember which one) and I already had an unlocked bootloader (which I couldn't remember) and I tried to re-unlock it
Now on my phone the Sony Ericsson logo re-appeared and it won't boot (it was Sony with my custom rom)
I used this method for unlocking bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2070325
I have this CWM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364509 (X-Parts)
Now what should I do?
Should I flash stock firmware?
Should I flash another custom?

You relocked bootloader, right?
Or did you unlock it again?!
Anyways, if you did a relock, you must flash a stock ftf and/or a ROM for a locked bootloader.
Because, your custom kernel based ROM won't run on a locked bootloader.

[Q]Neo V locked bootloader modified kernel

hi anyone manage to convert custom img kernel to ftf and be able to flashed it with flashtools without any error?
I have managed to convert img kernel to ftf but facing error while flashing it in flashtools.
The reason that I did that because of my phone won't allow bootloader to be unlocked. And my phone are sim unlocked+test point method bootloader unlock but no fastboot mode.

Hi!
My Neo V is sim and fastboot locked. I unlocked it via testpoint and tried to make a kernel.sin and after a flashable ftf. Here is a guide for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39544867&postcount=9
1. Convert boot.img to kernel.ftf
2. Unlock your phone via testpoint
3. Copy Flashtool/devices/R800/loader_unlocked.sin to Flashtool/devices/mt11
4. Flash the kernel
5. Boot into recovery
6. Install rom and gapps
Now I'm using cm10 without any problem! Good luck!

how can I relock bootloader?

Guy's I need to relock my bootloader
I tried with flashtool but it's not working
