[Q]Neo V locked bootloader modified kernel - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

hi anyone manage to convert custom img kernel to ftf and be able to flashed it with flashtools without any error?
I have managed to convert img kernel to ftf but facing error while flashing it in flashtools.
The reason that I did that because of my phone won't allow bootloader to be unlocked. And my phone are sim unlocked+test point method bootloader unlock but no fastboot mode.

Hi!
My Neo V is sim and fastboot locked. I unlocked it via testpoint and tried to make a kernel.sin and after a flashable ftf. Here is a guide for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39544867&postcount=9
1. Convert boot.img to kernel.ftf
2. Unlock your phone via testpoint
3. Copy Flashtool/devices/R800/loader_unlocked.sin to Flashtool/devices/mt11
4. Flash the kernel
5. Boot into recovery
6. Install rom and gapps
Now I'm using cm10 without any problem! Good luck!

Flashing ICS to unlocked device

What I have to do?
Currently I am going to
Relock bootloader
Update via air or on website via PC.
Will that work?
should work, but why you relock your bootloader? follow just the Instruction from Bin4ry with unlocked bootloader... works fine and you got root then
can you link please?
So many dublicated threads
You dont need relock bootloader...
Download the oficial firmware, and install with FlashTools (version 8.0).
Its simple...
Is it a different method with an unlocked bootloader?
Or just flash the ftf file with flash tool?
Just flash.

[help] Xperia Neo V boots only to ClockworkMod Recovery

Hi!
First of all I have to confess I'm a total noob if it's about phone rooting, flashing etc. I'm not sure if I posted this thread in the correct place - if not, please correct me.
I've just downgraded my Xperia Neo V from 4.0.2.A.0.62 to 4.0.2.A.0.42. After this i 'tried' to installed ClockworkMod Recovery by partially following this thread. And here the fun begins. To do it I've used the flashtool. In the 'Fastboot Toolbox' I chose 'select kernel to Flash' instead of 'select kernel to HotBoot' and now my device boots only to the ClockworkMod Recovery menu. How could I fix this issue? Thank you in advance for help .
Just flash another gb based custom kernel using fastboot mode or flash stock kernel using flashmode in flashtool

first thing read the instruction properly
otherwise you will end up doing something stupid and will brick your phone
if you are on a locked bootloader
then flash stock ics .62 or .42 ftf using flashtool via flash mode not fastboot mode
you won't be able to flash a custom kernel if you are on a locked bootloader
if you are on a unlocked bootloader
simply flash a custom kernel using fastboot mode
flash the kernel which supports your rom
otherwise you have to re flash the rom and gapps

- Restore your TA partition using the tool 'flashtool'
- use Flashtool and press the BLU button and choose "Relock".
If you are on a custom ROM you wont be able to boot. You'll need to be on a Sony ROM, with a stock kernel.
Otherwise don't lock the bootloader.

Thanks. Ok that's bootloader, and what to do with recovery ? When person from service press combination for recovery will know that bootloader is unlocked... Is any way how to completly delete recovery ? When I extracted KDZ I found recovery.img which has about 6-7 MB...will it delete CWM when I flash that image ?

Hi wlado93, yes, it will.
When you flash a rom with kdz the custom recovery is deleted, not problem that way. You can flash your operator's rom, doing that, you also flash its recovery.
Cheers. Good luck.
