(Q) Do S beam and android beam play well together - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

So I got my SGS3 yesterday and my friend is thinking of picking up a game nexus. Are S beam and android beam going to play well with each other?

SGS3 also has Android Beam.

Galaxy S III comes with both S Beam and Android Beam. S Beam is (currently) a galaxy S III only feature; thus will only work on galaxy s III devices. s beam uses nfc chips to initiate a wifi-direct connection between the phones, whereas android beam uses nfc to initiate connection and transfer files. The main differentiations between S Beam and android bean is the ability to transfer large files (up to 2 gigs), support more file types, and faster transfer rate.

Bump. Or does anyone know of a better way to do wireless mirroring?

No way to do wireless mirroring, but you should be able to stream videos, music, and pictures to your TV using the allshare app.

[Q] Android Beam on S3 with Jellbean

I have a Nexus 7 running 4.1.1 and have just updated my S3 to 4.1 (via the Vodafone KIES update on Monday).
I know how S-Beam and Android beam differ but basically now that I have 4.1+ on both devices I expected to be able to Android Beam images, mp3's etc.. from N7 to S3 and vice versa.
When I NFC connect the two devices with an image open on the N7 the file beams successfully using ANdroid Beam. WHen I use the same image file on the s3 to beam it to the N7 a Google Play window opens up on the N7 instead and the beam doesn't work.
I've read people saying that S-Beam needs to be disabled so that the S3 is forced to use Android Beam, I did try this as well but a message pops up asking me to enable S-Beam...
So in summary, both products are Jelly Bean with Android Beam enabled and the beaming works fine from N7 to S3 but when the return beam is attempted the S3 does appear to default to S-Beam and ignores Android Beam.
Any ideas if this is solvable without custom roms and/or bloated 3rd party software installs?
I was really annoyed but this also, there's no real solution for now. Samsung doesn't seem to want to use all JB features!

Google Now TV card not showing

So I have a AT&T Galaxy S4 running Google edition 4.3 ROM. I also have a galaxy s3 and Nexus 7 both running AOKP. On my galaxy s4 Google now doesn't show my TV card. My two other devices do show it so I know my TV is supported. I checked my build prop and the region is correct US. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? It's rather annoying as I use the feature.

Streaming Live Camera Feed on Android Phone (Galaxy S2)?

I know Android is very open and there should be little difficulty unlike with Crapples Iphone

Does the Galaxy Tab S3 support Miracast or some form of screen mirroring?

I don't own a Tab S3 yet but I am considering buying one.
One of the required features on my list is the capability to wirelessly "mirror" or "cast" the display of my tablet onto a TV screen or projector.
Does the Tab S3 have this feature and does it work properly? (provided that the wireless network is decent)

Yes, you can cast your sceen using the Google Home app and a chromecast plugged into your TV. It works great with very little lag if any.
Thanks. I was actually looking for a solution that doesn't require an additional device. (I don't have a chromecast device and its not easy for me to get one)
