Retail.en.EU ICS Leak 672.180.33 - Motorola Droid RAZR

372.8 MB
How to install video by TheRazrGuy:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TCgj5gbmf0
How to install from another ICS leak (same carrier, model, etc.):
Put the leak on your external SD card.
Fastboot a patched boot.img using the boot.img.p from this leak's /patch/ folder and the boot.img from the latest official version's fastboot files. (See my thread on patching boot images here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27211509 )
NOTE: If someone posts a reply with a boot.img they patched, you can use that one as well. Only one person has to make one and post it.
Fastboot the system.img and preinstall.img from the latest official version
Boot to recovery and install the newer ICS leak.

Hi all guys.
I'm on ICS leak 672.152.27.Retail.en.EU.
Can I update using .26 patched file (2.3.6) from here, put new leak in my ext-sd and start update by stock recovery after a wipe cache?

Verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("MTD:boot:8388608:0b5........
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip(status 7)
i flash boot_new.img then system_signed from right GB like i used to do with the previous EU leak.

Rooted and Booted Thanks very much Kan.
Something to note to others:
1. the sdk is now r11
2. the adbXXXX.dll file required has been moved from the default "tools" directory to "platform-tools" so you need to update the PATH system variable to ensure it is seen by windows when u run the fastboot command. Took me a while to figure that out, I don't read the readme files as a general rule
I'll write up more if needed, right now I'm tired and there is beer in the fridge & poker tourns about to start
Have a great weekend all...

[Q] [Help] New update

Im trying to update to a new 2.2.2 update that bell just released for canadian users.
I download it, I press install, it reboots my phone into android recovery.
It begins to install the update, then it shows me this:
verifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check ("/system/app/AccountAndSyncSettings.apk". "a bunch of numbers", "A bunch of numbers", E:Error in /cache/Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted.
Can anyone help? Its really frustrating not being able to update.
My phone was rooted, deodexed, and I flashed a few .zip's to it. I factory reset it before I attempted to do this update.
HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
This is the menu I'm in when I talk about "android recovery"
However, this is not my phone. This picture is just to jog your memory if you dont know what im talking about.

Also, what does the picture I'm describing mean?
Thanks.
are we talking about 2.3.4 or what kind of update?
It means your phone is rooted and you need to do an SBF flash
Pretty sure that is the recovery screen. If I remember correctly if you touch above the search button it should take you into the recovery menu

He's talking about the update from Bell that came out today. Its similar to the 4.1.83 update from At&t
Sorry guys its the 2.2.2 update released for bell atrices (in canada)
There is no menu unfortunately.
It looks like the bottom portion of this image, there is no menu.
Try pressing the bottom left and right corners, should bring up that screen.
Cheers!
Since it's 43MB is size, I am guessing glad root or my util should be able to preserver root using frozenfish in /osh/sbin.
Downloading it now, Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip in /cache, I'll upload it to my dropbox for folks when it's done.
Cheers!
How can those who have flashed 2.1.1 get this update?
You would need stock Bell firmware for an update to apply I would think. Probably not much different that what you have anyway, I'll see if I can nab the radio from it though.

Thanks so much. That brought up the screen.
However, my update failed. I'll post the exact error or PM you if I can't figure it out for myself.
Will that update be flashable via CWM? And where can I find your dropbox.
Regards,
Mag
I'll post when I get it done.
Here you go:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23800522/Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23800522/Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.crc
/cache/recovery/command = --update_package=CACHE:Blur_Version.0.37.4.MB860.BellMobility.en.CA.zip
Frozenfish works to get root access again, in fact your su and shsu binaries stay in the system folder, all you have to do is chmod 06755 /system/bin/shsu etc.
Cheers!

Well, if you are using a Bell Atrix in Canada and it's working right, then why not? How is unknown to me right now, the files are in the zip, might be able to do a swap in an sbf, not sure.
Just got 1850 in a speed test for upload indoors, fastest I've had yet, previous was ~1780, that could be a good reason.
Cheers!

I had the same error, I odexed my system and copied the zip and crc back to cache, and did the update again, it asked me if I wanted to install it, and as it was doing that I grabbed the command file from /cache/recovery and put it on my sdcard. So really, all you need to do is have those 3 files in /cache and reboot into android recovery and you should be good to go.
I am thinking that it's the patch files that need to have the original files in order to work.
Cheers!

Use this program to Flash. test-version-upTest_EX.rar - 476.96 KB
Apologies for the error, it had duplicated the DLL.
I'm uploading the new corrected compilation.
To see if this can be Flash, I flashed without problems, (though another also did so without problems)
V10K_00.kdz - 266.99 MB
How did you create dz file ??? Have you config file for dzcreate ?

Compile KDZ learned that some years ago, when it created firmwares for the LG KM900 ARENA
What happens is that each device has its particularity and a series of specific files.
I'm going to create a tutorial for compiling KDZ

[ROM][C530X][LB/UBL][SU] Pre-Rooted Stock 266 Firmware

Pre-Rooted Stock Firmware
Goodevening everybody,
Many of us love root but want to stay stock (like me) well. By following this guide: link ©quetzalcoatl2435. I was able to pre-root Stock Central Europe 1.
This thread is made with only one purpose: To share it!
If you want me to make one of your own choosing (branded, unbranded, generic etc) give me a call + download link for your ftf file and I'm good to go. Or follow the guide I linked to!
Details of all the pre-rooted ROMS I've made:
Fully stock
No bloatware removed or added (you can do this yourself now)
Still Odex
No CWM after flashing but you should be able to install it again
REQUIREMENTS
CWM (downgrade to 4.1.2 root it and install CWM)
This SU zip Link
This Kernel File Link
Flashtool
Patience
STEPS:
Download the .zip file (see downloads)
Put the pre rooted firmware + SU zip into your internal SD
Flash both files and turn the phone off
Open flashtool into flashmode
Flash 266 kernel
Reboot device
Done
If you want to have a custom Recovery you could try to flash the following zip:
- Download: Dev Host
DOWNLOADS
Stock FirmWare CE 1 Pre-Rooted
- Download: Google Drive
Stock FirmWare Global Pre-Rooted
- Download: Google Drive
Stock Firmware Generic IN Pre Rooted (C5302)
- Download: Google Drive

If you due to any reason want to go back to fully Stock without root and the lose of data:
Flash Stock ROM via Flashtool but uncheck DATA at WIPE this will keep your installed applications etc
~Credits:
Many thanks to quetzalcoatl2435 for his amazing guide
dssmex for the recovery zip
Chainfire for the SU
Sony for the firmware
Google for Android
Me for rooting and sharing (bit selfish not to put my own name here  )
Thanks
I share Central Europe 1 .266
Mirrors will come in handy.. As Google Drive is slow and I dont have or use mediafire/devhost.
Has someone bootlop? I have "SONY" again and again...
No it is running fine here. You did flash the kernel after flashing the rom itself?
Yes i did. I followed the instriction. I'll try once again tomorrow. How log Xperia is starting after flash? Maybe I waited too short. I have logo SONY which is dissapearing and showing again.
Well it is weird actually since I have it fully booting etc.
You can try a few things:
- Redownload and reflash
- Reflash
- update to 266 downgrade and try again
Finaly i flashed rom. Everything was allright until I try use titanum backup.IT says theres no root access. I checked supersu (the same about no root) and root checker. I Think root dissapeared after flash 266 kernel only. I have no idea, IT is to much for me.
Everything works fine, SU too. Thanks.
wipe?
Do I have to wipe anything prior to installing?
---------- Post added at 08:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:22 AM ----------
I have done everything according to the OP.
I don't have root after all. Titanium Backup says that and I have no SuperSU either.
Weird...
Any idea?

What do you mean? I don't get it
You flashed the Su zip? Because the program and a few needed files are in there If not then you have to start over since CWM is removed after installing the ROM.

Yes, I have. I flashed the ROM, then SU.zip, power off, flash .266 kernel only.
Reboot. All is fine, except for no root.
To be honest, I am already back to the CWM backup of 4.1.2 with root and CWM and bloat removed.
Your job is appreciated, though.
