Thank you!

Some ROM's like Resurrection Remix (found in Android Development Section) allow you to have the soft keys on screen. Not sure how well they work as I have never used it. I think it would just take up too much of the screen as we have hardware buttons already, but everyone to their own liking. Or you could sell your GS2 and buy a G Nexus!

You can check this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364757
Or, flash an AOKP rom, some MIUI roms have it too, ParanoidAndroid(CM9 based)

Well, thank you both of you.
@themadba - Yea, i know i was curious if was something like that for a stock ROM. Just wanted to test it strictly on a stock ROM, i have test them on AOKP ROM. ( and yeah, pretty useless )
@curodot - that doesn't work for stock odexed apps, like framework.

[Q] How to change kernel boot screen?

Just wondering how one would go by changing their custom kernels boot screen if it's even possible. I know you can change your phones boot/shutdown screen which I have done. However, I can't find anything about changing a kernels boot screen (ex. OverStock, Bali, etc.)...

The answer is this. The animation screen on the kernel that is the Original is embedded and cannot be changed. You can put one in front of it Like overstock, or Bullet...etc, but then, you will see the "S" if the rom is I9000 based after, not sure if that answers the question but that is basically, how it works. So you would have to find the screen that is installed before the original script and replace with another, but alot of those scripts are compiled into their rom so it would be pretty hard to do, unless you wrote the original script. Not many are going to share their secrets with the public. Otherwise, everyone and their brother would overwrite those scripts and claim the work as their own........ Like akaskriller does, steals other work and then claims it as his own. Hope that helps

I think this is only a personal choice. you can always try and flash roms and reflash. Just that its time consuming process and ofcourse *backup* is one important thing.
Hope you find a better one for you
i think your are pretty new in rom flashing, i would recommend you Leomar Rom.
Just download RevolutionRom app from market , it will download it for you ,istall it for you,change themes for you and kernels and......
The revolutionrom app is... wow...., nearly every new tweaks ,themes and other stuff arrives in the app.
The first 2 pictures are MIUI I think with Suave HD icons.
The third is just stock GB or something with Launcher pro and some other stuff.

[Q] camera app doesnt fit to screen

Hi,
So, i just installed hyperx's camera mod for my s3. I already had it once but as I changed to the null_ Rom now, I had to reinstall it.
Installation worked feine but now I get this :
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I think it is because of the 240dpi that the null Rom comes with.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? I made the mistake to not backup
I'm really thankful for every kind of help <3

If it is because of the resolution with that rom, you will have to flash a new rom, either another version of that rom that is built for the SIII screen (which is 720x1280), or an entireley new rom.

Need advice on flashing korean version Galaxy Note LTE (SHV-E160S)

Hi! First off, i'm sorry if this is the wrong sub i don't know where to post this.
My problem is that i'm new on flashing and i want to flash my phone but i am very confused at the moment. I've been researching what custom rom i should use and i from what i gathered is that i have to flash the original stock android first then flash the custom rom? This is what my phone settings looks like at the moment

. I'm running ICS and i want to update to Jellybean. Also, when i was researching i discovered something called cwm 6x and i don't know what's it for. I Dl'ed is as well just in case but now i'm stuck. I would like to learn from you guys on how to do it because i don't want to take a risk on bricking the phone cause i don't have any knowledge on flashing. Also, sorry for asking this question. This has probably asked before but the search engine for some reason is not working for me.
Edit: Also, i dl'ed the stock versions of this phone. It's the 4.1.2 version update. The custom rom i was planning to put on is this rom called EROM-E160K.[eRuiZhi.com].[Sdhjt.ORG].[J2] i dl'ed it from a thread here in xda.

[Q] How can I update the "powered by Android" logo?

I've noticed on some LG G3's and LG G Flex 2 that at the very first screen with the LG logo, the powered by Android Logo has been updated to fit the lollipop degsin. How could I update that? I am running the lastest pre-root Barin rom for Lollipop (ZV8). I know its not nessary but I would like to update that.

Im pretty sure that it is part of the bootloader so it maybe kinda hard.

I though I read somewhere that you could change that very first screen without changing the entire bootloader?
Edit: I found its called the Splash Screen.. I've been finding forms for HTC devices.
If I remember right, it's actually built into the kernel.
That's why you don't see it in CM/AOSP Roms.
I'm running a pre-root Zv8 stock ROM. It hasn't changed the logo yet.
Its built into the firmware
