[Q] How can I update the "powered by Android" logo? - Sprint LG G3

I've noticed on some LG G3's and LG G Flex 2 that at the very first screen with the LG logo, the powered by Android Logo has been updated to fit the lollipop degsin. How could I update that? I am running the lastest pre-root Barin rom for Lollipop (ZV8). I know its not nessary but I would like to update that.

Im pretty sure that it is part of the bootloader so it maybe kinda hard.

I though I read somewhere that you could change that very first screen without changing the entire bootloader?
Edit: I found its called the Splash Screen.. I've been finding forms for HTC devices.

If I remember right, it's actually built into the kernel.
That's why you don't see it in CM/AOSP Roms.

I'm running a pre-root Zv8 stock ROM. It hasn't changed the logo yet.

Its built into the firmware

Virtual Soft Keys

Hey! I've searched for a long time some virtual soft keys (on screen buttons) for Galaxy S2 like Nexus ones for stock odexed ICS ROM. Didn't managed to find any, someone can help? ->

Thank you!
Some ROM's like Resurrection Remix (found in Android Development Section) allow you to have the soft keys on screen. Not sure how well they work as I have never used it. I think it would just take up too much of the screen as we have hardware buttons already, but everyone to their own liking. Or you could sell your GS2 and buy a G Nexus!

You can check this thread:

Or, flash an AOKP rom, some MIUI roms have it too, ParanoidAndroid(CM9 based)
Well, thank you both of you.
@themadba - Yea, i know i was curious if was something like that for a stock ROM. Just wanted to test it strictly on a stock ROM, i have test them on AOKP ROM. ( and yeah, pretty useless )
@curodot - that doesn't work for stock odexed apps, like framework.

hi if you are rooted with a custom recovery, you cannot receive updates from lg as it would mess your phone up, i actually thought that if you were just rooted with stock recovery and stock rom you could get and install updates but maybe verizon is different as they seem to be in a lot of respects

"Error: UEGetPhoneInfoFailure UE_2003" when trying to update to 6.0.1

Hi,
I just bought a sony xperia Z5compact from another guy that barely used it. He gave it to me with apparently, a stock ROM. But I dont know if the other guy did anything on the phone like rooting, unlocking, whatever.
But now I want to update from 6.0 to 6.0.1 and I cant do it. Neither in the phone, nor with the computer coz I get this error:
error: UEGetPhoneInfoFailure
UE_2003".
I checked more, and the phone has TWRP recovery and an Androdplus kernel. So it has been modified, but I dont know how to check the status of the bootloader or if it rooted.
I want to update the phone to 6.0.1. and I would like to have a stock rom and a locked bootloader. (because I read that custom rom and unlocking bootloader affect to the function of the camera).
How can I do it?
I am getting different information over the forum and the internet, and I am getting a bit lost...
the security thing from service info, stays like this

GT1 S912: can't upgrade to android 7

After using the box for almost 2 years without any problem I decided to upgrade to android 7.
I have only linux os at home and I found aml burn tool for it.
I tried quite all version of rom, the official beelink one 708N0, atvxperience, tillaz, magendanz and alvatech.
All of them get stuck on initial logo.
On the first time I was thinking about something wrong with the burning tool even if messages are all ok

}
Then I flashed all roms available and always same result (stuck on boot logo) except for the different logo.
I was a little afraid I could have bricked my box so I tried flashing the latest MM stock firmware available 110M0 and finally the box booted normally.
I'm trying to figure out were is the problem:
aml-flash-tool for linux doesn't upgrade kernel? maybe it's too old to handle nougat?
I know that the best and smarter choice is to get access to a windows pc but it's like a challenge make it work on linux

The reason I want to flash new rom is battery drain,
Motorola hasnt released Android 13 for this device yet.

The bootloader is deadlocked on VZ version
No unlockable bootloader = NO custom ROM
