I wanted to knw where to put .odex files on neo v I hv already rooted my phone Just wanted to knw the directory in which i hv to put it in ??

Okay so if i hv a .apk file and .odex file of the same app .. should i put it in System/app make it work ??

Weird, im also using 8.9 wifi, n im sure there is an app called sumthing like samsungapps besides samsungapps.apk

there were no ".odex" files found in search by root explorer on my end.
Would it be samsungapps.odex? or samsungapps.dex ?
If using rootexplorer, it should b on system/app.. the file will b with the .odex file after them.. for my case, its samsungapps.odex

hi, my question is , if i put any.apk in the system/app folder and then i flash the rom via cwm so that apk in question will be ass an system application??? i'll not have to install it each time i flash a new rom????

It might be deleted by updater-script. Better solution is to copy your .apk to /data/app.

AFAIK, xperia phones have deodex-ed ROMS already.
Reason for that is I do not see odex files for every application...

thr is also android policy.jar.odex and blablaaabaalllllll files with .odex is files are playing there..:silly:

My Mini Pro is ODEX'd in stock ICS, which took me by surprise. Especially as it seems to only be the jar files and not the apk's..oh well.
I use Tickle My Android when I need to deodex something and it works just fine.

I dont want to flash rom,because i use alliancemod,and i dont want to reflash alliancemod .I deleted some lib files.and know gallery camera and so on (android.process.media) fc ,please if you have galaxy s ii with android 4.1.2 ,upload lib folder here.Thank you.

im on chameleon .. i zipped the lib folder .. its 84 odd mb ..
if you know the files u deleted i could post only them ..
but if u have the the ROM zip you have flashed you could extract the system\lib folder yourself and copy the files back right?
or are u unable to do that?
a lil more clarity on ur problem wud help

Can I ask u for one more favor... I also messed up my camera with cybershot mod... everything was ok till my camera started to force close.
Stock files are SemcCamereUI.apk and CameraCommon.apk I guess... not sure in cybershot mod there were also CameraExtensionPremission.apk and WfdService.apk If u have those u could also upload them.
edit: I forgot stock MusicVisualiser ( SemcMusicVisualizer.apk ) Can u upload it aswell?

cybershot isn't only some modified apks mate.
What problems you get?

I got 4.7.2 and it worked for a while, then I got force close, I tryed to re-install but no good.

1)There are 2 versions, you installed this one 4.7.2 For XP/U/Sola, right?
2)Did you wipe cache, dalvik cache and went to settings->apps->all to clear camera data?

Just extract those files from a stock rom for Xperia Sola @pa4ka16
and dont create tons of question threads and you can search also !!

why don't you download an ics rom bro? This way you will be able to use files without waiting someone to upload them

How to extract the files you want tutorial:
1. Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030261
2.Download the "ZIP version for Flashing using CWM"
3.Open the file you downloaded using winrar.
4.You will see some files inside named META-INF, boot.img and system. The one you need is the system.
5.So double click on system folder and navigate to app.
6.So in system/app you will find all the apps you previously asked me and many others.
7.Extract the apks you want and here you do
