[Q] Screen flashes on the battery screen but never charges - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Hello everyone,
My sgh i777 (running one of the UCLE5 semi v# ROMS, can't remember which one xD, on siyah v3.4.3) is having a strange problem. What happened was, I put my phone on the charger on my desk, and my sister had a friend over and were messing around. Well I found my phone later in the day on the floor, and it seemed like it was more scratched then. It was still plugged into the charger at the time so I tried to turn it on. However, when I turn it on, the grey battery screen with the loading circle shows up for less than a second, and the screen turns off. Then it will do that again, flashing this screen until I unplug it from the charger. Not matter what I do, it will not get past this screen, and actually, after the screen flashes a bunch of times, you wil stop seeing the battery screen but merely a flash of light on the touchkeys and maybe the screen. I am pretty sure it is not a problem with the charger itself, and I think it may be a problem with the battery. However, my friend had an issue with his Droid (first one) where the charging port on the phone was broken and he had to use an external battery charger to charge the battery, and then it would work fine. To me, the port seems like it is not damaged, and since when I found my phone on the floor it was really hot, I really think the battery just died. I am also fairly certain that this problem is not a software issue, considering I have not tweaked anything on my phone for a few days now, and since it was working just fine before I found it on the floor. I would appreciate any feedback that you guys can give me because, like everyone else, this phone is my baby
Thanks!

Try pulling battery for a few. put it back in. try to get into CWM and wipe cache and dalvik.
Who knows how that happened. But if you have CWM or D/L mode, your fine.

I had this exact same problem on my phone (minus ending up on the floor part). I think it is from the battery overheating. Pull the battery and let it sit for a few. I had to let mine sit out for almost 4 hours before it turned back on. It may not take that long but i would leave it out for at least an hour or 2.

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah I left the battery out of the phone overnight and when I woke up I tried it again and it still did the same thing :/
I want to get an extended battery anyway (I think I'm going to order the qcell one) and if that fixes the problem that'd be great, but if it isn't a battery problem and it could be fixed now I would love to hear how so I am not out a phone until the new battery arrives ;D

Will your phone turn on when not plugged in?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2

No it won't even show the battery screen when it isn't plugged in. It only does that with the charger. Also it won't even have the flicker of the touchkeys, just nothing haha.

Try to get another fully charged battery from a friend and see if phone will turn on, or if you have an external charger, charge up a battery and see if it turns on
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2

Ok I will try that as soon as possible

I tried a different battery from a different phone (although it was still a samsung phone and the battery fit right and everything) and the same thing happened >,< nothing would happen unplugged, but as soon as I put it on the charger, the touchkeys would flash, and the screen would flicker at certain intervals. Unfortunately I think this is a more serious problem :/

Same happen with my friend I9100. Power Controller gone. Only service center will help.

Seems like your USB ports are bridged. I had this exact problem. If you're under Samsung's warranty, send it to them and they'll replace it. If not, MobileTechVideos could fix it for you.... Though if you're on a custom ROM then I assume you must put it to stock before sending it out to Samsung...

I got it to work haha. Go figure the one thing I did not try fixed it. -___- I was reading through some other threads and found a guy with a similar problem and he said that he left the battery IN the phone but left it UNPLUGGED. Well I did this overnight and sure enough this morning it worked xD

Reading is wonderful!
Glad you got the problem resolved.

mine was unused for a few weeks too. I thinking its just the battery might actually go to a battery store in my city to get a new one.

How come? Anyone know?

Just did with odin and tried to power off again, it turns on.
Any other ideas?
Pulled my battery to shut it off.
Started the phone, shut it off, and it stayed off. Weird!
Thanks for your help.
its not off, it's underclocked so low it can't even wake up the screen, higher your min clock speed to 600 and see if it still happens, of try removing setcpu or that other one that starts with a T.. whichever you use

I have the same problem, instead of switching off it just reboots, even if I power off from recovery.
What kernel are you using. I'm using Ninphetamine 2.0.5, with VillainROM 2.4.2, with Black Android Theme.
I'd rather not pull the battery, after seeing how flimsy the battery cover when I put it on first, I decided I'd try to avoid fiddling with it if at all possible

Well let me tell you about a little secret: if you hold the power button for 10 seconds the phone will shutdown instantly no matter what.

Doesn't work: it turns off, stays off for 2 seconds en boots up again.
I got same problem. Never flashed, never rooted. Got original 2.3.3.
I think I#ll try to flash it to fix it.
got a similar problem. probably not related. after unplugging it from a full charge, the phone kept making the "USB connected" sound. when turned off, it would do one of two things: display the big battery charging indicator while flashing the overheat indicator or turn itself back on.
while powered on, the battery icon will change from charging to not charging. I checked the USB socket and doesn't seem to be malfunctioning and there isn't anything shorting out the contacts. so far now, the battery level is at 87 percent after 48 minutes not in use. and now it's not making the sound anymore. I suppose the battery is malfunctioning.

I got a mixed-up thing of the issues on this topic..
When I take off the power socket, the symbol that shows "charging" remains there, and also, it is completely impossible to turn off the phone..
Whenever I turn it off, hard, or standard mode, it turns on again after 2 seconds..
And even if I remove the battery, I put it on again, and then it's back on in 3 sec....
Uh, and when I plug the charger in, when the battery is completely discharged, I have to take it out and back in , several times, before anything appears on screen, and even when it does, there is a temperature warning sign , and a yellow one which usually appear...
I'm getting very frustrated since I just paid 5000 nok (920 USD) for this phone..
And while I really begun to like Android, I guess I'll have to switch back to iPhone with a 4S, or to some better android device, since yes, the gs2 is cool , but I can't stand such issues, since I do run business things, and the phone is of vital importance for me, and not just a console/browsing crap.
Has anyone got any solution on this issue?
It would be crap if I had to send it to service, since it would take a lot of time, and I would have then to buy another temporary phone in the meanwhile...
PLEASE, HELP!
I had this problem, i cleaned the USB port out but that didn't stop it, but i think it helped. I then drained the battery to nothing and it has now stoppped. It's a battery problem, as it didn't switch off like it does when it hits low battery it just died. The battery readings were also inacurrate and every now and then it would do a weird thing like flashing it was charging, but it wasn't. I tried software etc.. and clean wipe before i tried the hardware, so it wasn't the rom i was running. I think the battery is on it's way out, so I've bought a new one.

Did this actually help? I had all the symptoms everyone has been describing and sent it to Samsung for repair. Their response was that the phone was stuck trying to download a PRL update, but as soon as I got the phone back from them and charged my battery to 100%, removing the phone from the charger caused everything to start again. I'm not entirely sure it is the battery, but have no other ideas.
USB charging port is dead.
Buy a new one on ebay and replace it.

Hi all.
Had similar problems about one month after getting my s2. I have unlocked sim card, rooted it and flashed some kernel, shyah i think. And left it with stock rom (Android 4.0). As it was under warranty i reverted completely to stock and took it to the carrier. After one day got it back but they said it had no problem. The fact is that i could in fact turn it off again. After a few days it was back so i flashed a custom rom (resurrection remix at that time) and never had it again.
Now I'm with alliancerom and apolo kernel for a few months and never had it again.

Battery will not charge due to high/low temperature (not a battery defect)

Hey there,
I have my Vibrant for a good year now since it came out pretty much. Last week it just stopped charging out the blue. The battery is completely empty and shows a thermometer with a warning sign and stops charging seconds after its plugged in. So I assumed it might be a battery malfunction and I got my spare battery in as soon as I came home and tried charging - same problem. I think it is highly unlikely that both batteries fail at the same time. Therefore, I assume there is something wrong with the temp sensor in the phone. I saw a few people have a similar problem with the epic 4G, but the discussion got really side tracked by other issues. My phone is rooted, but I was running stock froyo, so that shouldn't be the problem or should it?
I just wanna know if anybody had the same problems and if there is a quick solution, I google and forum searched a while but as soon as you throw in the term battery it gets spammed with battery life discussions.I just checked my files I have on the phone, apparently I have the premium insurance - does that mean I just can go to the next Tmo store and get a replacement? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Phill
Well for your problem, i suggest you try a different rom and see if the problem persists... maybe its a bug
And as for insurance, you mail the phone in and pay a deductible, which should be like 135$ or so. They send you a refurb.. or if you say it wus lost, you dont have to mail in phone

thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way to reflash without a battery?
I don't see it as a bad thing. If your phone gets too hot and keeps charging that's going to burn something inside. When my phone won't charge I know I have let it down. So it can cool down. But to fix your problem reboot the phone. You can keep charging it after it boots up

As long as your phone can run successfully for a couple minutes, i dont see why not
Sent from a cell tower to the XDA server to you.
Mine did something similar. I picked it up after putting it on the charger. It was hot and would not come on. I unplugged it and let it cool off for a while and it cleared up.
I got that message once...
Vibrant was in a car dock, with power.
It was *HOT* out and sun was hitting the back of the unit. (A/C on of course)
Google Navigation was running (display brightness max)
Google Listen was running
Bluetooth was passing music to a speakerphone
When I run the phone with that setup, the charger can't even keep up with the phone power needs. The battery level slowly drops. No question the phone is working hard.
This was a true heat issue... I removed the charger and turned off the display to let it cool off a bit. (I was almost home).
So the question again, is your phone hot or is it a false reading?
Robert
Hey,
I am sorry I didn't clarify the actual battery temp. It is normal - so its neither in the sun or in a too cold spot when I try charging it. The phone probably runs for one for a few seconds before turning off so there is no chance of the battery stats wipe. I think I will try to find an external charger and try to charge the batteries this way to have enough juice for flashing a new rom. Thanks for all the replies!
Does it charge the battery with the phone off? If not, I don't think a new ROM will help.
Hey there! Wondering if you got around to solving this. I've got a Vibrant doing the same exact thing. Battery being cool it sais that is overheating. Did changing the ROM solved it or not?

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but a resolution never seemed to be made here. Has anybody found a fix to this?
As of yesterday, my wife is having the same issue with my old Vibrant phone which she now uses. It's flashed with Bionix V 1.3.1 and Tigerblood overclock to 1.2ghz. This could be the issue, the Tiger Blood overclock, but I'm not sure. I'm out of the country for three weeks and currently she's left with a dud of a phone that keeps giving her the temperature warning in the triangle when plugged in while the phone is powered off followed by it stop charging. When she turns it on, she gets to the SD card check and then the phone completely freezes. Once in a while it's able to stay on for a minute or so before freezing, but more often than not the phone does not fully turn on and just goes frozen after a few seconds, sometimes at the Tigerblood logon screen before making it to the desktop. Me being 4000 miles away doesn't make it easier to help her but I've recommended she leave the phone unplugged, battery out for the night to see what happens. I also told her to take off her silicon case thinking maybe that has something to do with the overheating. Well after 7 hours of her letting it sit to cool off like that, with the case off, she plugged it back in and is having the same issues as yesterday. Absolutely no progress made. One of her colleagues said she should try leaving the phone in rice confused:) so she's giving that a go and another guy in a phone shop who she went to for advice after work said that the motherboard might need replacing. I'm convinced all it needs is to have the Tigerblood removed or reflash a rom onto it but there's really no knowing unless I have it in my hand.
Is there any quick fix to this problem without having to do all that? Surely there must be a way to charge the phone without it heating up and freezing up. She's tried plugging it into different rooms, on her laptop, etc, none seem to get rid of the temperature problem. I've had the phone since August 2010 and never had any issues with it. I also never once saw that temperature error message so was taken aback when she showed me it over skype. I just upgraded to the S3 and gave her the phone 2 weeks ago, but surely it shouldn't just die out just like that? Thought the Vibrants were made tougher than that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks in advance
Its most probably a kernel issue or a bug in the rom; so the only way to find out is to flash another kernel/rom..
P.s Vibrants are rock solid

Will be looking into reflashing another kernel/rom when I get home in a few weeks time, but it must be noted that the phone has been showing no signs of life for the last few days now. After letting it sit out for 7 hours on the first night, battery out and everything, she went to plug it in the following morning and this time absolutely no notification came up. Not even a lighting up of the phone or anything. No signs of life at all. Every time she hit the power button nothing occurred. The phone still heats up and after a few minutes while plugged in and gets very hot to the touch again but no matter how many times she attempts to turn it on, nothing happens.. She's tried plugging it into her computer via usb, into electric sockets in other rooms, even in the bathroom in one of the 115 volt electric shaver outlets in the bathroom (we live in the UK currently), and none of these ideas worked. Still no signs of life. It has been this way for three days now and is frustrating as I can offer no advice to her to get the phone to turn on anymore.
What on earth can be the problem? Has this happened to anyone before? And is there a fix to this or can we consider the phone to be a paperweight at this point?

Some kernels require a certain amount of power to fully boot the phone up and will not charge until it has 5% battery or so. I personally think her battery may be unable to hold a charge or like I said before it doesn't have enough juice to boot the phone because of the kernel. There is a way to charge the battery with the phone off. You can use ANY kind of usb cord, I used an old printer usb cable when I had to do this. All you do is cut off the side that is not usb and strip the positive and negative wires(red and black), then place the stripped wires on the positive and negative connectors on the back of the phone and insert the battery (make sure it's a snug fit). Plug the usb end into your pc and charge the battery that way, DO NOT let charge for over 2 minutes at a time. Wait five minutes and do it again if you have to. If she gets it to boot up, I would definitely flash a new kernel first to see if thats how the problem originated.

Just got my S2, but it won't turn on! :(

So I had bought this phone off ebay and when I got it today I tried to turn it on, but nothing happened.
I then plugged the phone in and tried powering it on and still nothing. I tried charging the battery and left it alone for an hour and afterwards the result is the same. Basically when I plug in the phone to the charger, the phone's screen will flash a battery icon as if its going to charge for a split second and then go blank. And then it will flash the battery icon again and then go blank again and it will go on like this for a couple of minutes until the screen finally stays blank.
So as I said even though I leave the phone to charge for a while, it still won't turn on and the only result seems to be that the phone gets warm near the camera. Also I tried to see if download mode works and pressed both volume buttons and I get a brief flash of some words. After doing it for several times I saw it said 'Low battery, cannot download' all in red.
I searched the forum and tried leaving the battery out for a while and also putting it in the fridge to see if anything would happen but nothing. So can anyone help? Is it just the battery?
Could be the battery - if you are on good terms with a local ATT store, try going there and asking if you can borrow a battery from their demo device to see if yours will power up. That's the best cheap way I can think of to rule that out.
Other possibility is a bad USB port. My first device developed a failure at about 2 months - I'm actually on day 5 with my warranty replacement. There is another member here, Moustro I think, who also may have a bad USB port. He and I were wondering if perhaps there was a bad batch out there. I'm not sure what ATT's warranty policy is for items re-sold on eBay, but might be worth checking out...
yeah that does sound like it could be the battery boot loop, take some photos of the battery to see if it is the oem... if it is the oem try a stand alone chager

I live in Canada don't think I'd get much help from AT&T probably.
Also the battery is the original one and not a replacement. I left it unplugged for a few hours and just now plugged it back in and its the same battery icon flashing for a couple of minutes and then blank screen. No charging whatsoever. I tried different outlets and different USB ports on my notebook and its all the same.
I also have an Infuse and charging for that every by every method is just fine so its my SII that's messed up.
If it's any condolence to you, I just bought a brand new GS2 from the ATT store today. The battery was semi-charged when I got it, and when it ran out, I plugged it in and got the same thing you did. Battery is flashing, cannot power it on, even plugged in. I also got the red "Low battery, cannot download".
I spent the better part of 4 hours reloading my apps and email addys, and everything else to get my phone up and running, and now this.
I am going back to the ATT store tomorrow and requesting a different brand new one.
This is my 2nd GS2, because I destroyed my first one in an accident.
Just as dandrumheller was saying. I had simimiar issues where the phone battery would blink on and off even if the charger was plugged in or not while the phone was powered off. The only way I could get my phone to boot to prepare it for warranty exchange was to flash a rom through Odin. But if you can't get it into download mode this wouldn't work.
My suggestion would be to use a different battery. That would let you know if its a hardware issue or bad battery.
hmm...
I was able to to get it to power on last night with what little battery was left. I then plugged it into the USB of my Mac, rather than the charging wart. When I awoke this AM, I have a fully charged battery, and a working phone. I will let the battery run out again completely today and see what happens.
That's great news! I hope it continues to work for you
I would not let it completely run out. Our batteries don't like that. Don't go below 25 percent. I'm glad you got it working. I know you're relieved.

I'm not sure relieved is the right word.
Apprehensive might be better.
We all know AT&T isn't in the best graces with most.
They must be the ***** of Comcast.
Anybody got anymore suggestions?? Can't get it to work no matter what I try.
Call samsung and see if they will honor the warranty? Don't know their rules, but in another thread someone suggested that sale of the phone does not void the warranty.

Max,
Were you able to find a fix for your problem? i bought a SGII from ebay and is presenting the same issue
For what its worth I am able to enter download with NO battery. In fact I ONLY do it without a battery. I just hold both volume buttons and plug in the USB to my computer while not pressing anything else. Without battery.
Thought the OP said he couldn't enter download.... so if that doesn't throw it in download it's more than just battery.

Guys,
I tried this and it worked...
At a last resort, i put the battery on nexus to see if it will charge and DAMN !! it did,, so the battery was not the issue...so i grab a swab with little alcohol then clean the terminals on the battery and the spring connectors on the phone... and voila !!! started charging and keeps working perfectly.
It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you guys.
Glad you were able to isolate the problem.

Same problem
Flashing on for a sec then flashing off, buttons flashed too. Phone got hot around the battery. Couldn't have described the problem better
Took some alcohol, cleaned the contacts for the USB connector, cleaned the battery contacts, and booyah, got the charging symbol again! Problem was, I didn't use the phone for a month, it rode around in the front pocket of my laptop bag, and apparently got the contacts dirty. A little toothpick and q-tip fun later, and my phone started charging again. Thanks -

Really? I've had mostly HTC phones and we could run them down pretty low.. I've been running mine down past 10 and it's been fine.. stock battery.
I had the same problem as op. My last resort was to cut the micro usb end of a spare cable and connected it to the (+) and (-) on the phone itself. since the phone booted up, i knew it was the battery. Next, i did the same thing but (+) and (-) on the battery itself while connected to a computer. i held it in place for about 10 seconds. put the battery back in the phone and it started charging again. im sure it wasnt the safeat thing to do, but it worked. Maybe the dead battery needed some kind of jump.
btw. The wires you would be using are the the black and red. and i got this idea from

I believe these are different types of batteries. Not Lithium, but something else. I bought some spare batteries from eBay and the batteries had the same instructions... That it is not good to let them die completely, and charge then preferably when they still have 1/3 charge left.

[Q] Rezound wont charge a dead battery

So the past two nights iv let my rezound battery go dead. The problem is it wont charge a dead battery. It charges if there is some battery and its on but when it is dead it is dead. The fix was I had to put the rezound battery in my tbolt to get a little bit of juice.
Any ideas or similar problems? I am unlocked with the htc unlock tool and running nils business sense?
Could it be a rom bug?
Don't let your battery die. It's bad for it anyway.

Once the battery is dead what does the LED on the phone do? If it blinks for a while it is either too hot or too dead to turn on, but it can still charge eventually. If the LED is not coming on at all I would pull the battery out and connect the charger with no battery and see if the LED comes on. If still no luck, get a new charger.
Blinks then Charges
I had the battery die on me once (on a prior battery and prior rezound). The phone will blink orange for a WHILE (I tried 3 different chargers not knowing what it was), but eventually started to charging. I think patience is needed. If, after 15 minutes, you still aren't charging, then that's something (but longer if the phone was also hot).
If I hit he power button with or without the battery in the led will light for a short time. I had it plugged in all night and no charge. I used two different plugs.
As for not letting it die. I know its not ideal but I couldn't help it.

+1. Same thing here.
KORM via the beast known as the Rezound.
I let my phone die completely once. I freaked out that my phone wasn't charging. I went onto HTC's site and it said that it could take 20 or more for the led to turn on while charging if the phone was completely dead. Just plug it in and be patient. It will charge and the led will eventually turn on.

I had this problem too, and am a little concerned I have a defective phone
So I had this issue happen this weekend. My daughter was using the phone when it died. Couldn't get it restarted. (I am unlocked via HTC, stock ROM with bloat removed. Phone is a week old.)
After messing with it using the factory charger/cable and other chargers/cable combinations I got nothing. Light would only intermittently come on for a second or two then go back off.
I charged it over night with the factory charger/cable. Didn't work the next day. Charged it all day and night with my old charger/cable that I know works. Didn't work.
Tried multiple variations of taking out the Battery/Sim/SD card and using the plug-in chargers & CPU USB variations with no success.
Luckily, I had ordered a new spare battery and it came in the mail before I returned the phone. Plugged it and it started up fine.
But my concern is that my phone is not properly charging. I have also had other similar charging/battery life issues that raise concern.
As far as not letting it die, **** happens and phones die, if this is a reoccurring problem, that in my mind is pretty unacceptable. A phone should charge when its plugged in no matter what. I may end up returning it to see If just got a defective phone/battery.
My phone will turn on then off and im starting to think it has something to do with the battery. But when it started it was in tue yelllow on the status bar, now i have it charging without being turned on and the indicator light is on but hopping mine will fire up soon. This all just happened to me within the last two hours lol, already called verizon to get a replacement but still going down there tomorrow.

--I agree, but once it gets down to 5%, why not just turn it off knowing the problems people are having so wide spread now.
Under the exact same conditions I have had the same problem with a warm battery reboot. It seems to occur when you are talking on the phone and let it die. Once it dies the phone will not reboot. My wife has the exact same phone. When I put her battery in my phone the phone works fine. My wife’s phone dies every night and she simply plugs it in the wall and it charges no problem. Again the conditions seem to be related to the battery dying while it is hot. If the battery dies while the phone is cool and not used then it seems to reboot no problem. I will go to Verizon tomorrow to look for a fix. I will let you know what happens.
I'm also having this problem but i can return my phone because i unlock it or can i return it ?
Check and see if your battery is 3.7 or 3.8v . I wonder if it is related to the charging issue with the 3.8v battery some people seem to be having.

I had this happen, and here is what worked:
Unplug charger
remove battery
plug charger in
insert battery (while charger is plugged in)
I got an immediate orange LED and after a little while I was able to run the phone back on.

I had the same issue with my OG Droid. Would kill the battery and it would stay dead, even after a whole night of charging. The above method seemed to work for me.
I make 100% sure mine never goes totally dead after an experience I had with my Droid Charge.
I accidentally let it die completely (I fell asleep when it was almost dead & it ran all night). The next morning it was off, I put in a fully charged battery & it fired right up but started FCing like crazy. Every single thing I clicked on force closed immediately, I had never seen anything like it.
I was running a custom ROM & kernel & had done a nandroid BU the day before. I restored the BU & the phone ran perfectly again, but that scared me enough that I made darn sure it never happened again LOL........

Holy ****!!! I think I may have found the fix! I have had the same exact problem as everyone in here. It seems to happen once I root. My Rezound would die completely, then after plugging it in, the light would come on for 5 seconds or less then shut off. I plugged it into my computer and Windows makes the USB Connected sound, so I figured something is happening.
I went into my command prompt and *adb devices*. It showed my device, but says in recovery mode. I then *adb reboot bootloader* and the bastard rebooted into bootloader! From there, I chose "REBOOT" and it fired right back up! Anyone who is having this problem, please try this and let me know if it works for you!
***UPDATE***
It appears when the battery dies all the way and then doesn't charge, the phone is automatically going into recovery mode even though nothing shows on the screen. I had my SIM card out when I tried this the first time, then when putting my SIM back in, it started doing the same thing. But again, it was going directly into recovery mode. This time, I tried a simple *adb reboot* and BAM! I'm back up and running! Again, let me know if this works for you, or if you need help doing this, let me know.

Yes... HTC phones never charge "powered off" When you turn it off and then put it on the charger, it is actually entering/booting a special screen off recovery mode during charging.
CWM recovery on the rezound has trouble charging a completely dead battery.
Use Amon RA recovery.

[Q] SGS2 battery problem maybe?

Hey all,
so a few months ago my SGS2 went off. It was an interesting behave of it, it just started to turn off sometimes, without any reason, without any popups (eg. battery low) or anything. I was really curious about this problem but I didnt have a single idea of what happened to it. Like a week later, it didnt turn on at all. I disassembled it, and found out that my secondary microphones cable broke. I thought that was the problem, so I ordered a new module (which includes vibrating motor, secondary microphone, ear-piece, and the jack).. I waited 3weeks, the first one arrived broken. I waited another month, and today the second one arrived in one piece. I put it inside the device to see if it works but its not. NOW the problem is, like it was before I ordered this module, when I try to turn the phone on, it doesnt do anything at all.(with the broken secondary mic cable it did, it went till the samsung logo and then bam, blackout) IF I put it up on charger, it says the battery is FULL, and from then, I push the power button and it starts to turn on, but goes until the Samsung logo, or sometimes it did boot, but thats rare, and then again BAM, blackout. Now I was like wtf? So i tried to reach recovery, I did a full hard reset to the full stock SGS2 ROM, tried other kernels, recoveries, ROM's, but nothing helped me. NOW If i enter DOWNLOAD mode without the charger, it says "Low battery! Cant download." and this happens right after i plugged the charger out, and it told me that the battery is full (what a liar), but when i plug the charger in, I can reach DOWNLOAD mode, and Recovery mode too, but they do blackouts after a few minutes too...
Any ideas?
Would be happy if anyone could help me out...
thanks :good:

oh and if it matters, its GT-I9100, 2 years old.
if you can get your hands on a different battery, i would recommned you to test it with that too.
as your device is 2 years old and i am assuming you havent changed the battery yet, there are strong chances of battery life getting over.

thanks for your response!
well today i am about to test a new battery, i hope thats what the problem is... an extra thing, and yes im stupid because of this but i left my battery in the phone for the 2 months while it was off... a friend told me that it can cause the batterys death, is that possible?
If u want to leave your phone switched off then it's better to charge it and then remove the battery from the phone. So there is a possibility that your battery is Screwed because of that time when you kept it in the phone itself.
