There is a new link for the source code on Huawei's website as of February 5.
Unfortunately, the description does not help me to understand what is the difference to those files from July last year.
Seems still ICS though.

Hi all,
I'm encountering some problems when i'm trying to update my Hyundai T7S tablet to the official jelly bean 4.2 ROM.
I've the update from the Hyundai website (hyundai-digital .cn). This download comes in a .rar file. I knew it would be impossible, but tried anyway to flash this file from the SD-card. But to make it work this way, the update should be a .zip-file.
In the .rar file are 15 files, some of them are .bin and .img files. And I've not the knowledge what I can do with these files. Unfortunately the support guide of Hyundai can not be opened and two hours googling didn't help me out. So here's my question:
Is it possible to convert the .rar file into a .zip file and flesh this file? Or can I flash the rar-file in some way?

Extract all files in zip to SD card (ext.). Power OFF. Press Volume - and Power and update will start. Looks like you use Volume + not - witch takes you to recovery mode. When done tablet will turn OFF. Power ON and you should have new firmware.
You are talking about "HYUNDAI T7S-20130318" ?....if yes it is not 4.2 is still 4.0.4; If you found a most recent one (4.2), can you email me with download link please ?....I can't find 4.2 for T7(S). Thank you !

exactly. even though some sites advertise it as a 4.2 device, the latest available stable fw is still the 4.0.4 from the 18th of March.
I just tried exynos abuse 1.4 about 2 hours ago on my t7s and it worked like a charm.

from what i've read (some weeks ago): the main hyundai company has told that branch producing the tablets not to manufacture devices to be exported from china, so they're cutting the rest of the world off their official site --> you'll be able to reach the webpage via a chinese proxy (as if you're browsing from china).
about the update for which we're all waiting for: last time it was told to be released in 2013 june, so i still haven't given up yet. anyway: just search for "slatedroid" on the internet if you'd like to get updates about the tablet in english

Another possibility could be porting CyanogenMod OR buying a tablet to a developer. We already have CM for the same SoC, so I think about xplodwild or codeworkx, the two main i9300 maintainers

How can I ask to a developer to port to this device? Is it there a specific forum? Or just pm them?

Well that'd then be the reason why the 4.2 ROM for the rest of the world is now available to download through MediaFire rather than an official Hyundai page.
For those who haven't found it yet, this post on the GeekBuying blog details the download and installation of the 4.2.2 upgrade.
I'm in the process of downloading the 222Mb archive now; going rather slow which is nothing new for MediaFire.

anyway: everyone can still reach the site (http://www.hyundai-digital.cn/download.asp?ClassID=1) via any chinese proxy and check out regularly if there's anything new announced (like the stable release for the 'plain' T7, which was uploaded earlier today.

It probably is the website of Hyundai Korea, not Hyundai China (maker of T7s).

Has anyone managed to root this T7s Android4.2.2 ? When I tried to root it , it returned an 'error' saying that this image is sort of immune to rooting. I tried with exynos root method.

Do you have any info about Android 5.0 (Lollipop) for our Honor/Mediapad X1 ?
I kinda would also love to know about Huawei updates, in my case for MediaPad M1. But wer are dealing with Huawei here (my first Android device ever was U8880...) and the X1 been only out since april 2014 and M1 since may 2014, making these devices barely 6 months old, i think tho, if we are not seeing official updates once the devices are ~1 year old, we aint gettin anything. As of now, my device has the stock firmware, that's Android 4.2.2 with EMUI 2.0 and not a single update available, at this point, even update to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 with EMUI 2.3 or 3 would be friggin marvelous.

99% a hoax.
Few things gave it away:
1) It claimed to be from xda-developers, now I don't see any lollipop rom for X1 here, do u?
2) I don't think any rom for lollipop will be as small as 128MB, and in these days, I don't think any uploader will be splitting a 128MB file into 3 parts, unless ..
3) .. all he/she wants is for the potential downloader to complete as many surveys as possible! Any download that require one to complete a survey beforehand is usually shady.
Proceed with caution if you still wish to find out for yourself.

Please note that sometime ago Huawei declared a list of devices that would get Lollipop update. Mediapad X1 was not listed. So don't expect any upgrade to Lollipop for our device from the manufacturer.

Dear even if Huawei provide lollipop rom upgrade to x1, it is not going to make any difference. Have you watched videos of x2? There is no difference in the UI of X1 with Kitkat or X2 with Lollipop, as both have EMUI 3.x. IMHO the real joy of having Lollipop is with the stock experience and with tweaks added from CM.

Formerly i had Huawei u8160 and achieved to root it and use cm7 rom in it successfully. Last year I bought Huawei Ascend G610-U30 due to financial problems. I have been contacting to Huawei device support and they just reply me to check their facebook page. Emui 3.0 is published and i looked at the webpage but there is no update for my model. I am sure my phone specifications are enough to install KitKat or Lollipop but it is still stuck in 4.2.1. I have been checking "System Update" on my phone regularly and there is still no updates. So does anyone have any ways or idea or even projects to publish a rom for Huawei Ascend G610-U30 including KitKat or Lollipop.

I have asked Huawei for the P9 Plus Oreo update, this is a translation of what they responded. Original message was in Dutch since I am from Belgium. I contacted my local Huawei support.
"We understand that you would love to have Android 8.0 on your device. On this moment, we do not have an exact date on when Android 8.0 will be available for your device, but it is to be expected on Q1 of 2018. Please be convinced that we are working to get all the devices with the required specs on the best software-update version, so most likely for your device as well. But when this is happening is still to be confirmed. We are currently working on the development for Android 8.0 update for the Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, P10 and P10 Plus. When you will receive the update will also depent from your provider. Some provider tweak the update right before they sent it OTA to their customers. Please check for an OTA update regularly to see if there is an update available via: Settings - System update - Check for system updates."

You must contact EMUI directly & not the local Huawei Service, everytime local Huawei Service don't have any informations. EMUI 8 IS CONFIRMED FOR P9 PLUS, you can find also an article from xda site.
This is awesome, still a great phone that works stellar for me. And now the security patches have been ticking in lately so Huawei do start to look like the top notch they wants to be

Unfortuanitly P9Plus will not get A8 in Denmark - just got a mail from Huawei Custom Service DK - if someone can proof me wrong i'll be happy, otherwise my next phone has to be a Google

Hello, the device has the Samsung members app. Looking at the application in the notices section I found that information. if you are in stock rom open the application and look for Android 10 update.
