The problem is that your phone has hardware damage on the eMMC (the flash storage) now, which can't be fixed.
There's a few workarounds (read the threads about the "leak brick bug") but none of them really work out nicely.

I also cannot do a factory reset.
I'm pretty sure I've never had this 4.0.4 leaked firmware installed. I've only installed 3 or 4 roms, all of which are the most popular ones on this forum.
Even when doing the reset from CWM the phone just goes into a boot loop at the startup screen.
I can restore to stock using MY backup but I want a clear phone for sale. I would try flashing a stock firmware using odin but I can't get hold of the firmware (every link goes to a download site that won't allow me to download it!!!!).
Any suggestions?

Thanks very much. Finally downloading.

Well, flashed the stock firmware using Odin.
Thankfully it seems I don't have damaged eMMC and can now do factory reset. Now the kernel and recovery are stock, flash counter is reset with no yellow triangle.
Should be good enough for the phone recyclers and 200 quid.
Thanks again and hope I haven't hijacked the thread (too much)

anybody know the motherboard price
or can we replace the chip only (storage)

finally my ph is with service center for board replacement

I didnt use that pit file thnx to god ... So plz guiedes to best software for this phone and also i need unlock
All the information you need is in this thread, but basically you need to flash a stock 4.0.3 samsung firmware via odin (not mobile odin), do not wipe anything, even factory reset, until you have flashed a new safe firmware via odin.

Superbricked when trying to Update my ICS with Rom Manager to AOKP (Jellybean 4.1.2)

What I did -
[Rom] AOKP(Jellybean 4.1.2) | Task650 & Ktoonsez (12/2)
Reboot into CWM recovery. Using Rom Manager
Factory Reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache
Install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard (wherever you saved the download) > Flash task650-aokp-[version].zip
Install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard (wherever you saved the download) > Flash gapps-ics-[version]-signed.zip (Flash *twice* if it doesn't seem to flash correctly)
Reboot
After it becomes a Hardbrick I777.
=[.
Anyway to Revive it or I'm screwed?

My I777 was on UCLE5 Stock ICS with Root. It does contain the SUPERBRICK BUG however It was working fine. Maybe because when I try to install the new ROM I had to wipe/ factory reset which may cause the EMMC Superbrick bug to activate?

I have the exact same problem. I was trying to install cyanogenmod but I acedentally installed a rom and kernal for a different phone. My phone is currently not rooted, I CAN PUT IT IN DOWNLOAD MODE, and it is bricked (a.k.a freezes at start screen). Any help? I heard that you can install the stock ROM again but I cannot figure out how, Idk if it can even be fixed on an unrooted phone.
Please reply soon! I need a fix for my bricked phone, and I have the exact same problem in this thread basically.

I know a few things, but I don't know magic.
A few comments though. Hard brick with no signs of life doesn't sound like eMMC damage. You should at least try the following: USB jig to enter download mode --or-- remove battery and leave it out, then with the usb cable plugged in, hold the down volume button to see if it will enter download mode that way.

That's a good idea. If it doesn't work then jtag is your only option (better than getting rid of phone). Mobiletechvideos can do it for you for $50 if you are located in us.
Good luck
Rom manager is a phone bricker... I soft bricked mine with it.. A jig helped me unbrick it. Last brick was kernel flashing...Hard brick. Mine is also dead, not even odin worked... It did manage to go into download mode but then it would not nand write anything... On ebay there is a jtag service for 35$... I will wait to get the sgs3.

[Q] Boot Loop after 4.2.1 Update

So it seems I have done it again, got into a pickle with my Galaxy S3. So here is what I did. I updated the device using Odin to the latest leak of 4.2.1 and I was playing around in the settings and I think I was fiddling with the mimic duplicate screen and set the resolution to 1080p, its a new setting in the developer options of 4.2.1. After that is froze and went into boot loop. I have tried re installing the firmware, no resolution. I also tried a cache wipe, nothing. So I then though I would download and install my original 4.1.2 firmware, XEF, but that said it would take a day to download. So now I am wondering what my options are, I will do anything to not have to factory reset this because it is just a huge pain in the bum and I really should learn by now not to play with firmware, cos every time I muck it all up. Oh and also my custom binary count is now at 1, even though I installed official firmware through Odin.
Thanks and sorry for asking another question, I feel like I just ask them and never answer any

Factory reset and your counter should be fine too
I have installed 4.2.1 over XXELLA (4.1.2, which was rooted), and then did a factory reset
Now, even if the phone is rooted, my system status is official and binary counter is 0.
counter was 1 in XXELLA btw and would not go back to 0 even after using Triangle Away.

Well, I don't know exactly what you did to mess with the imei/efs. Without a backup, it's going to be difficult to recover from that problem. Frankly, I don't know enough about it to be of any help. I think I've read that you can get the phone working with a generic IMEI but you can't get the original IMEI back. But again, it's just speculation on my part. Maybe someone else who knows more will jump in.

yes but regardless of you currently being on 4.1.2 you can still reflash the stock jb 4.1.2 firmware via odin, you can try redownloading the image file since you might have a case of a corrupted image.
I agree that you should attempt to flash stock ucmd8 again after re-downloading the file. You should flash the .tar.md5 version. Odin will check the md5 sum of the file before flashing and only flash it if it is not corrupt. You can find a download for it in the Download Repository. It's the very last item at the bottom.

At this point, downgrading to 4.0.3 is probably not a solution. From all the information that you have posted so far, it appears that your phone either has a firmware issue such as corrupt memory, or a hardware issue such as damaged eMMC memory. It is also possible that a necessary step is being skipped, such as performing a wipe data/factory reset from within recovery. Although both myself and 4-2ndtwin have mentioned that you should do that, you have never specifically stated in any of your three threads that you followed our advice.
So first things first, have you performed a wipe data/factory reset from within recovery? Have you included this step with every attempt to flash a firmware through Odin3?

Don't give up just yet. Try going all the way back to i777uckh7 firmware. If it doesn't boot. Power off, reboot recovery, wipe data/factory reset, then reboot. If successful, save ur EFS folder 1st, back it up with an app or Root Explorer, etc. Save it in a few places, external sdcard, pc. Then u could proceed to update to JB or wherever u r wanting to go.

I agree with 4-2ndtwin. Don't give up, and follow his suggestion.
In fact proceed according to the following sequence. If Step 1 solves the issue, stop there, otherwise proceed to step 2, and then if necessary step 3.
Step 1) 4-2ndtwin's suggestion. Download "I777UCKH7-CL503881 FULL tar.md5" from the section titled I777UCKH7-CL503881 Stock Binaries. Flash with Odin3 v1.85 (preferred version). Perform wipe data/factory reset from within recovery.
Step 2) Download the Tar version of Siyah 2.6.14 Kernel. Flash it in PDA. Without ticking Re-Partitioning. Next repeat Step 1 above.
Step 3) Download the SBL Bootloader from the Download Repository. Flash it as PDA in ODIN, without ticking Re-Partitioning. (Please observe normal bootloader flashing caution.) Next repeat Step 2 above.
To recap the above for clarity:
Step 1 - I777UCKH7 full distribution --> wipe data/factory reset
Step 2 - SiyahKernel v2.6.14 --> I777UCKH7 full distribution --> wipe data/factory reset
Step 3 - Secondary Bootloader --> SiyahKernel v2.6.14 --> I777UCKH7 full distribution --> wipe data/factory reset

[Q]Back to stock thorugh CWM?..

Please dont take this a stupid question imjust such a noob...
Well i installed cm11 on my s3 and it is now successfully running on 4.4.4 BUT for some strange reason i have the urge to go back to stock (Yes I know theres a whole thread about it and all but it seems a bit too long for me to do and also dont know how to relock bootloader?..)
Well anyways i came across this stock 4.3 Firmware file that can apparently be flashed through CWM so all i need to know is if i can flash it without a brick (considering right now im on 4.4.4/Potentially Unlocked bootloader) i dont want to go back to complete stock just the OS needs to be.
It also apparently comes with a modem?...
(My baseband is the same as the thread says)

Please post a link to the rom you would like to flash so i can help verify for you
The international vesion of the s3 does not come with a locked bootloader, you either have a different s3 model or read some wrong info.
As MrKhola said please lay out all spec/info with what you plan to do.
If you do indeed have the i9300 this is the thread you need.

Don't be afraid, what would you like help with or explained?
If flashing a 4.3 'stock' ROM (through CWM as this file is made for it) will brick my phone if I'm running CM11 4.4.4.
It also comes with a modem kernel etc.
Its best to do it on odin, follow from step number 3-wipe device in the link i provided you. Read and understand a couple of times to make sure you understand them and you will be alright, going to stock is easy and alot less hassles than going to the other way.
Although the CWM way seems easier to me I'll try your way soon.
Is it wipe data/factory reset in cwm?

Yes, Remember to back up first
Edit: Did some research for another user and it seems you can flash stock files through recovery so I believe you can try it this way first.
After much deliberation decided to go with my first method and its worked!
For anyone wondering:
1) Download the file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/dump-stock-i9300xxugmk6-t2563562
2) Install latest Philz recovery as for some reason normal CWM doesn't install properly
3) Wipe Data , Wipe Cache , then format /system
4) Install ZIP and your done!
