Best PDF reader (preferrably for 4.1 JB) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, title says all. I'm looking for the best free PDF reader out there for Android, preferrably for 4.1. I have trouble trusting Adobe for the job right now. Any input?

Repligo
Its not free but it by far the best one I've used. Allows markups.

I use APV its pretty quick at opening files and navigating through pages and zooms in quite well. It doesn't have tons of flash features but I guess that is why it is quicker than others I have tried. I wanted to find one that just works and this seem to do the trick!

I'd recommend Repligo as well. It's hardly expensive. Adobe Reader crashes on my Archos 101 G9 Turbo ICS.

Best internet browser for android?

Just got a nexus s and I don't really like the stock browsers speed. I was told to download opera mobile or Firefox, but I know that there are more browser than that. What is the best internet browser for android?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
The best browser would be whatever you're looking for in one. Dolphin HD is a good one for customization. Though for me it gets a little laggy sometimes.
I still keep opera mini because its the fastest browser out there but it trades some features for pure speed.
I personally use the stock browser. I've tried every browser out there and I'm tired of not finding a good one. The stock is fast and simple.
I'm using CM7 btw.

Stock all the way baby!!!
Stock is the best unfortunately. Save your time.

+ 1 for stock. No matter what I try I always revert to stock. It's simply the best for our devices.

Dolphin

Stock is the fastest and the browser with the best text reflow in my humble opinion.
Other adds features (multitab, extension, rss, etc) and most of them use the same engine as stock. But adding feature has a cost...
Regards.
I prefer the stock browser.
Lmfao this is weird. Not only is opera mobile faster than the stock browser it's smoother too.

I use opera mini normally, really fast as it don't have flash.
When I need to use flash, I'll use opera mobile.

Opera Mobile seems like the best. It has flash support, great visuals and smooth UI, and it's fast (+ it has Opera Turbo ).
You've asked a very opinionated question. It's like asking someone what the best soda is, or who makes the best cars. That said, however, I am a big fan of both Dolphin Browser and Miren Browser. Firefox mobile is nice, but it needs an option to flash support in my opinion. I do occasionally need flash so I usually just stick with those two. Opera and the stock browser are decent as well and are the favorites of many, as you can see here. Honestly, you need to give them all a try for a while(a day or two with each) to see what you think and choose the best from your personal experience.
Opera Mobile is my favourite.
You can check out a few more here.

That security and privacy stuff was only in Dolphin Browser HD.
I've used the stock for a really long time after trying out EVERY browser out there except Opera Mobile because I had the mini installed. But it turned out that the only one I hadn't installed was actually the best one.
Opera Mobile is fast as hell and smooth with the basic features you'll ever need. It doesn't get the credit it deserves. Its literally epic. You guys need to try it out. Displays everything quick and with desktop quality. Hands down the best out there you'll ever find.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Ace
It all depends on the device you got..for my Galaxy S 2..i like stock and sometimes Dolphin HD...
I like the full opera browser its pretty fast but it's quite a large app, just seems better than the mini version
I tried Opera Mobile and it's pretty slick. I think it's a good alternative to the stock browser.
Dolphin HD the best browser!!!!

[HELP!] Comics HD Replacement on CM7?

Is there no app like Comics HD for android at all? I LOVED this on WebOS and really dont want to reboot to just read comics...
Would an RSS reader be able to work for comics such as XKCD, at least? Any info is appreciated.

Try ComicRack
I use Komik on my honeycomb tablet, so whenever we get CM9, you can give it a try then.
Comic rack is the nearest I've found. Presents covers and volumes.

I'll have to try some of these. I've been using Perfect Viewer on my nook running CM7 and it works pretty well. I kept having problems with ACV crashing. I like the Comics/Comixology app (Guided View ftw!), but unfortunately you can only view comics from their store.

Book and Manga reader?

Has anyone found a good manga reader for cell phones, or are they just too small? (Even the Dell Streak)
And can anyone recommend a good pdf reader? One that isn't slow to go to the next page, that has a good text reflow setting (I can't stand ezpdf's text reflow, and it is slow, to me.) For now, I'm just using Adobe Reader, but it has the minor annoyance of sometimes not saving the page I'm on. (I've been typing the page I'm on in a draft text.)
Pocketmanga. Been using it since i got my dx2. Its one of my favorite apps.

Best Browser For the S3

Done a search but nothing of relevance came up in these forums.
Just got my phone today and so far just using the stock browser which seems ok but undoubtedly there are better browsers out there, i always used X-Scope on my SGSII but im a bit tired of that now and looking for something else,i hear Chrome for ICS is supposed to be very good, so what browser is everyone using then?
Chrome is not that great on s3 yet, it lags and has touch delays..stock browser is undoubtedly the best browser I have tried . It gets the work done. Only thing I don't like is how you manage tabs . Try dolphin browser, should run as stock but with some enchanced features
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well the built in browser works really nice, but i personally like
firefox and that you can use addons like adblock and so that i value
a lot personally.
Though I don't currently have the S3 yet, I'll probably use Boat Browser. Easy to use and has been the best I have used for my tastes. It'll be the fist I install when I get my S3.
Dunno where you heard that Chrome 'lags', that's definately not the case. Alright, you don't have Flash. I always thought of it as a huge drawback but I haven't missed it a single time and I've been using Chrome for Android since the very beginning.
It has great tab management, staggering performance and a brilliant look. One of the best things about it is the integration with your desktop Chrome (and all other versions of Chrome you might be using.) Open tabs are synced in real time so let's just say you want to open a link from your phone on your desktop. no more mailing it around, now you can just click on it on your desktop. The bookmark sync is great too. And it's Chrome.

Use Chrome. Also install Flashify. In the rare instance you launch a site that needs flash, just click share, flashify, then select an alternative browser. The page you were browsing is then opened for you.

I didn't hear it, I experienced it. Visit www.aftonbladet.se with both stock browser and chrome. While stock handles the website like any other..chrome gets real messy. The touch response like 1-2 seconds after you started to pan. It's just me?

That site works a treat for me. Or at least, I think it does, I can't read that language, so I can't tell if it's somehow horribly broken something or not

I just froze the s3 stock browser using titanium backup and copied the browser from my s2 cm9 rom into /system/apps. It works brilliantly! Need root though
So far, the stock browser is doing it for me

ICS Browser+ for me. Persistent user agent switch, customisable quick controls, negative colour mode, everything I could possibly need in a mobile browser.

Chrome still sucks for me even after you let it fully load pages . Zoom in and out pinching and panning it just freeze-lags on me all the time . You guys force gpu acceleration?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Stock browser works well here.
Before I used Dolphin, but there's a bug or something. When double tapping to zoom in on an area on the page it always zooms in to the left of the page (instead of the area you double tap)
Do more people experience this bug?
Dolphin Mini - best interface, not a ton of features
Dolphin HD - alright interface, just works
Opera Mobile - most like a PC, best comparability with websites that give trouble, has hardware acceleration, super smooth
Stock - smoothest, least features, and has problems downloading certain types of files, or downloading at all from hosting websites

Personal preference for browsers on note?

Just wondering what browser you all were using for your note? Stock browser is OK and I've tried dolphin browser but wasn't too impressed either....so what you guys running?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I have always found Dolphin to handle flash the best. But my current favorite Browser is Opera Mobile. Actually, I use both Opera browsers. If I'm in an area with poor reception/bandwidth then I use Opera Mini. I have to warn you my opinion is very subjective and biased. I have been using Opera since way back in the days of windows mobile. I have tried the rest but always find myself back with Opera. I have been keeping an eye on firefox and it seems to be making some great strides but my impression is that it is not ready for prime time just yet. I'm rooted but still using the stock gingerbread Rom. If you are using an ics Rom and you don't mind giving up flash then you might be interested in Chrome which has a great feature set and is purported to be blazing fast. Either way, on gingerbread I find Opera to be the best overall browser for me. That said your mileage may vary subject to your personal taste.

I use opera for one big reason. Its probably got the best built in download manager I've seen on a mobile browser.
EOS 2.0 @ MZ604 [XDA-HD]
Stock @ SGH-I717R [XDA-Premium]
Running ICS in tablet mode and I've been using OverSkreen for a while with no complaints. I love having multiple, re-sizable browser windows available.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.airbrowser&hl=en
I keep Dolphin installed just in case I hit a wall with OverSkreen but thus far I haven't found a page it wouldn't load properly.
I use dolphin HD, used to use Opera on my old Nokia N95 but I didn't like the direction they were going with the look and feel so I tried Dolphin when I got my first android phone and I've been happy with it since.
Stock ICS and Boat on GB roms
I use Chrome. I don't need a bunch of features in a browser and it is quick and stable.
I liked to use maxthon browser on my evo, but I am definitely wondering if there is a better choice for this huge display.
Skyfire has a lot of features and its nice too.
In terms of pure speed, Chrome. Stock is not bad either.
For flash, Dolphin and Boat seems to be the fastest while Opera seems to struggle a bit compared to the aforementioned browsers.
I like the chrome beta. I would like it if they added some dolphin style tabs though.

Used xscope pro on my og evo for a long time, but it sorely needs an update.
I now use dolphin hd. It crashes often with multiple tabs open however.
Opera mobile and opera mini and boat are good alternatives.
On GB still so no chrome.
Firefox beta looks cool but takes forever to load pages.
Maxthon is ok but not in the same class as the above.
Skyfire is too bulky.
I use my note a ton to browse the interwebs and I regularly try different browsers out to find the best experience. However, as the previous poster said, browser preference is incredibly subjective.

I use Dolphin HD over the stock browser. I havent had any issues with fc on the stock rom or thus new one.
Sent from my Galaxy Note SGH-I717 running Seraphim Mesosphere Remix ICS ROM
I prefer chrome beta, its fast and very stable.
Galaxy Note
ICS+
Has a lot of nice customizations - seems to be less prone to FC's and integrates nicely with Chrome bookmarks.
In order of preference chrome, boat, opera. And overskreen for when I want a quick floating browser.
Chrome is just awesome since I've used it on desktop forever add its nice to easily sync. Boat is nice with its customizable menu. And opera is for when I hit a wall with the others. They're all decently speedy and lots of features.
On cm9
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
I like Dolphin HD, it's the easiest browser to put into desktop mode and I hate mobile sites, so Dolphin HD's my browser. I like Chrome Beta a lot, but am very disappointed that the "Request Desktop" setting is not a system-wide or even permanent setting. It should be the default, I still have a desktop running 1024x768 and I think that if my phone supports 1280x800 it should not be restricted to crappy mobile sites.
I also want Firefox for Android to get better, haven't tested it in a while but the last time I used it (on my TouchPad before I got my Note) it still had major issues.
