Video shows mouse pointer control EVO 3D HOW? - HTC EVO 3D

This video showing demo of ICS Evo3d hooked up to a 3D TV playing a 1080p 3D video that's cool, but I'm really curious how he connected a Bluetooth mouse with the on screen pointer that's amazing... Anyone know how to add mouse pointer when connected to MHL?

Yah it's an app and program that you install on both your phone and computer, basically it allows you to control either your computer from your phone and visa versa, i used it's laggy as hell and I can't remember what it's named. Maybe teamviewer 7?

you can control your pc via your phone, onlyand not vice-versa with team viewer.

Still curious how the person in video did it, with a cursor and a computer/MHL cable plus monitor, a EVO 3D can practically replace a PC...

I don't know how this person is doing it exactly, only watched it briefly as I'm at work... But ics supports usb input devices. Wouldn't surprise me if that's how, but not sure how mhl would work with that... The port would be used already... Could be bluetooth devices but like I said, I didn't get a good look at

Cool! Do you have stock ICS? maybe it's a feature of ice cream sandwich? I have gingerbread and I see no pointer at all when connected to MHL

I guess I'll find out if pointer works hopefully within the next couple of weeks when is the role out of ICS

confirmed! Ice cream sandwich now supports the mouse pointer! It works great when connected to a monitor with an mhl adapter and a bluetooth mouse

Tv out, how does it work?

Just as the post says how does it work, I have the feature on my Rom and I went to Best Buy and bought their $50 dollar cable but I got nothing on my TV's. I think I got audio once but no picture so other than plugging the cable into the phone and into the tv and turning it to the right input what else us there because I did all of that?

Ya you do need to connect the wall charger, but for some reason does anyone know why it doesn't actually charge my phone? While using it my power drains very slowly.
The mhl adapter and phone is being charged at the same time. It's a weak charge to begin with when you aren't displaying anything. Just have to deal with it.

I knew this was going to happen, I am not talking about mhl's, I know how that works. I'm talking about the function where you can use the headphone port to use a RCA type cable to play or send images and or videos to your tv.
Does any one know how this function works?

I'm pretty sure that even though the ROM you're on may support it that this phone isn't capable of it. I've never heard of anyone getting that to work. Let us know if you do figure it out though. I just don't think that the headphone jack can output video. It only does audio. I believe its a hardware limitation.

You know that some roms are ported from other phones. Some settings will make its way over. There might be a setting for this, but from what I have been told is that the hardware will never support it.

Using the Note as a Computer

I was looking at the Galaxy Nexus threads and saw this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_--zcmqIyRI and decided I would try it out on the Note. I did this on my Evo when I had one so this isn't a new idea but I kind like it. This isn't an in depth video, it just shows you how it works with what I have working with it. The commands that the Nexus user can use with his keyboard I couldn't get to work with the Note. Not sure if its an ICS thing or what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laUNz7QJ9Wo&feature=youtu.be
I too have been playing around with this and it is a pretty novel idea. It isn't 100% there yet in terms of being a setup I could use full time, but it does let me travel without my laptop and plug in to a hotel TV.

I just found an old Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard (it's a small black box that you set on a table, and it projects a full-sized keyboard onto whatever flat surface it's sitting on using a laser) I used to use with my Windows Mobile 2003 PDA and tried to pair it with my Note today. It works flawlessly! This thing hasn't worked with any of my devices since WinMo 5, and even then it usually required a driver to be installed. Not with the Note! Just need to be sure I have the Samsung Keyboard selected (but it doesn't need to be open). I just keep getting more and more excited about this thing (except for the dark splotches on my display and low Quadrant scores).
Ok this is neat for traveling. Anyone know what cable we need to connect to the lcd monitor?

You have to have the MHL to HDMI adapter for it to work. I got mine on Amazon for $22 including shipping and got it within 5 days. Then of course a bluetooth keyboard and mouse..works good. Does your monitor have HDMI?
Edit: If your traveling I'm sure the tv might have an HDMI...unless you stay in a Days Inn as I do..

Am I the only one that is really excited about this.
Does anyone have any experience with the Media Link yet?
I saw one video that speaks of an opportunity to use the tv as the screen and the phone as a controller. How sweet would that be?
It would be better if you didn't need the wireless b/g/n router between your phone and this device. If they both can communicate with the router, why can't the phone communicate to the device directly?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
Just received the Media Link HD I ordered from AT&T for my E4GLTE. I was surprised that HTC includes an AC adapter and HDMI cable in the box! Looks like it works - now just waiting for my phone to get here so I can try it out.
From what I can tell in the manual, if there's no wireless router available, it uses a WiFi direct signal. I plugged it in, and on the startup screen it showed a private IP address that wasn't from my home router.
^ Good to know! Thanks for the heads up! This is a huge part of why I'm excited for this phone.
Sent from my HTC Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2
I like the idea of it and now that I know it works as such it just got better. Unfortuneatly, I would always have the phone plugged in to watch a movie or play a game on the tv. I assume the media link streaming a 1080p movie would drain your battery out before the movie ends.

The thing is I don't have a TV with HDMI support. I have a PC running Win7Ultimate (x64). I've looked at many apps like webkey and stuff. They do work but for gaming I can't do with that choppy frame rate.
