Hello, i just get a new lumia 800
OS version : 7.10.8773.98
firmware : 1750.0805.8773.12140
the phone prompted my that there is an update, so i connect it to my pc( windows 7, x64) and fire up Zune.
after clicking update now, update will fail with error 8018121C1 after step 5 when Zune trying to reboot phone.

[Q] Unable to update

Hey
I've got a problem updating my HTC Mozart.
It's a device from T Mobile Germany, which has the standard firmware.
In the Development-subforum there is a new firmware, 1.28.xxxx
My problem is that I can't update my HTC Mozart.
If I start the updater on the PC with the mobile connected, it quits after a timeout stating ERROR 260 - CONNECTION ERROR.
Is there anything I have to do or - better yet - a step-by-step instruction?
Do you have any idea, why it might fail?
//EDIT: I'm trying to flash from a Windows XP PC (32 bit) via USB.
And yes, I tried to use the bootloader, but it only displays SERIAL.
Could you please help me?

I didn't think that there were any actual updates available yet :S
Well there is a new version in the development subforum
It's an inofficial update, but that hasn't stopped me before...
In the meantime, I even managed to solve the problem:
Windows XP needs USB drivers in order to be able to use the RUU.
HTC's RUU doesn't provide any driver as it seems - and neither does Zune.
I had to install Active Sync (version 4.5 seems to be the latest) in order to get the driver - although the HTC Mozart can't be synced using Active Sync.
After that it was just going to the boot loader and starting RUU.

[Q] RUU doesnt detect my mozart :(

Hey folks,
I got hold of a new mozart last night and wanted to debrand from the Orange UK rom to a more "generic" rom.
Did a bit of research on how to get into bootloader mode etc. but when starting up the RUU, I get all the way to the bit where the update starts and then I after about 10-15 seconds I get an error message saying that the phone hasnt been detected by the utility.
This was a little strange because the previous screens leading upto the actual update detected the current rom on the phone and prompted me for the newer one........
I read that my phone has to be recognised by either AS or WMDC.....
However, I am currently running W7 X64 and both AS and WMDC dont detect my phone but when loading up Zune, it recognises the phone no problem.......
Any ideas anyone???
Oh the Error codes im getting are ERROR 264 AND 266
Cheers in advance for any help.
hey,
maybe use this tut

Download and install "Windows Mobile Device Center" before installing any RUU rom.

Also having trouble with this, did you work out how to do it?
lumia
no i didnt get it working i came to the conclusion that the phone has a pre dload bootloader as it wouldnt show a usb disc, i ended up upgrading the fimware to a debranded version and sold the phone, couple days later i got hold of another lumia and when i do vol+ and power the pc comes up with qualcomm usb device and a nand disc(usb drive). once that came up i used nss and flashed the custom rom

Mine doesn't show a drive either really don't want to have to change phones. Any idea how I can update the device? I used to be able to use cabs but I am now getting an error when I try to update that way - so I need to install a rom from scratch.
lumia update
to update the device to latest software i used NaviFirm and selected rm-801 then went for the latest firmware, downloaded it, then i used nokia suite and place the downloaded firmware into the nokia care suite folder. opened nokia care suite and selected the open product option in the top drop down menu opened rm-801, then selected restore, if found the firmware i downloaded from NaviFirm and began to flash the software took about 10mins once it is complete the phone will power off and restart
hope this helps
rob
I have tried this but when the phone goes to flash it hangs for a second and then says the phone is in the wrong mode

HTC Mozart Zune connection issues

Hi all,
I have searched all over the internet and have come up with no help at all, basically my problem is getting my girlfriends htc mozart to connect to zune to update to 7.8 my pc can see the phone and it shows in device manager no problem but will not connect to zune at all ????
I have tried uninstalling zune many times and updating the driver and rebooting none of which are working
I have the latest version of zune downloaded today from ms
a htc mozart orange uk on 7.5 un-modified
and a windows 7 64 bit pc with all the latest updates
I have tried all the microsoft help topics including the fix-it apps none of which work at all
Any ideas at all ????
Regards,
Chris
Try downloading and installing "vcredist_x64.exe" found on Microsoft's website. Rebbot and try reconnecting your Mozart to your computer.

I receive this mesage: "no available device is detected. Please check the COM port status"
I' using Windows 10 Pro x64 and I tried on a Windows 7 Pro x64.

Hi guys, I got the solution.
The Windows 7 and 10, at least, or maybe the 64 bit SOs, need turned off the "signature check of the drivers". You can google this: "How to Disable Driver Signature Verification on 64-Bit Windows 8 or 10 (So That You Can Install Unsigned Drivers)"
After that, turned ON my phone normaly, and put it the USB connect to CDROM, then, you need to go on "My Computer" (on the PC), and enter in the folder of your phone and copy the drivers right there to your Desktop. For Windows 10, I got the folder x64 (the folder win8164 didn't work for me). Then turn off your phone, connect to USB, open the Mobile Upgrade software, and go in the Device to install the drivers from where show to you unrecognize device "Android". Use the point a folder (the x64 that you copied), and done! It will install the drivers and the Mobile Upgrade will recognize your phone.
