About
This kernel is built from Samsung's official sources (available on github thanks to supercurio). It's clean, fast and it aims to be stable.

md5 checksum: 5d8aa55604ef25de6cf8910337bc4365
Installation
Flash the .zip with Odin or the zImage with heimdall (heimdall flash --kernel /path/to/zImage).
I advice you to wipe cache, dalvik-cache and battery stats between updates.
Also, you should notice a better battery life after a full charging cycle.

Nice release.
In your git repo, you posted that this kernel build includes BacklightNotification. Has this been confirmed working by you with BLN control?

It won't work with BLN Control app because, as we can't modify liblights, we need to manage blinking at kernel-level.
I'm working on it.

don't install in TK Rom !
EDIT: it' ok now !!

I would definitely use if it allowed BLN!
Wifi doesn t work !
After wipe dalvik, wifi work !
Can you boost the incall volume?
This kernel not work with Tegrak Overclock!
BLN would be very desirable

Found this tip you can use via the stock dailer:
"Enter this number *#*#197328640#*#* This will open the service mode menu.
Select option [5] AUDIO Select option [1] (VOICE CALL) Select option [2] HEADSET Select option [1] Volume Select option [1] SRC Speech RX Volume Select option [5] 5_lvl : 87 Press the menu button (left side) Choose Key Input Enter a value between 0 and 100, with 100 the loudest setting. Press ok"
This is for headset but you will also find other volume options here, maybe this can do what you want
Nice Kernel, but why did you use the Deadline I/O Scheduler? CFQ should be better than this one.

Deadline is faster than cfq.... bfq still better but so far no kernel implements it on i9100

wow i like this. hope BLN will come soon...
but, not working with tegrak overclock......dilemma!
The stock is 2.6.35.7, so a jump to the "final" 2.6.35.13 version is a useful improvement, thanks!
Do we require updated Samsung sources to be able to use newer kernel versions? In particular a 2.6.38 kernel with the Automatic process grouping patch would be very useful, not to mention some of the other improvements in PPP support from .37 which makes VPN much more useful.
Cheers.

Deadline is much better than BFQ for database-based systems like Android. On top of that, Deadline is tweaked for flash usage in this kernel.

Amazing, glad to see you back in action novic!
Just uploaded 0.4 version of kernel with OC and UC support (from 100 to 1600 MHz with 100 MHz step)
Thank you for OC and UV kernel.
I can change voltage from 1100 to 1600 MHz but for clock 1000 MHz and below I can not change the voltage lower. Whatever I press the slider down and save, it always comes back to default.
I use Voltage Control and System Tuner Pro.
Is that a bug or I made a mistake?
Btw, can you increase the thermal throttling clock higher than 800 MHz? 1200 MHz is still safe and we can get better performance. I used to have 1400 MHz with "Odin's son" kernel in CM9.
Thank you.
Thanks! Will fix it in the next versions!
PS: All voltages below 1000mhz are decreased to the most stable values to save battery

Thank you.

Hi,
caming from anidroid ics, i flashed this JB anidroid yesterday but i got a bootloop... need to do a fullwipe, install anidroid v0.2, flash kernel 0.3, reboot in recovery, flash gapps and than everything was ok !!
I see new versions in 1st post, can i just flash the kernel v0.4 or do i need to flash the complete rom?
Atm, i had three issues:
- the clock was stucked, need to reboot the phone
- no deepsleep, changed governor to lulzactive then ok
- tried to change dpi to 280 with dpi changer but got a black screen (no bootanimation)
Other remark:
Contacts pictures during call still pixelized...
Anyway very good rom, thanks :victory:
++
You should flash 0.4 kernel over the ibstalled ROM, with no need to flash the complete ROM.

The only 2 ways for changing DPI without black screen
1) ROM Toolbox Lite/Pro
2) File Explorer with root access (e.g. Root Explorer) and manually edit build.prop in /system
ro.sf.lcd_density=XXX (<- your choice)
Paranoid on Belly Jean // HydraCore 4
Is there fast charge in this from? If not can we get a version with it implemented? It is highly essential at my workplace

thanks dude, will give a try to rom toolbox
The good old lock screen delay we had in the early ics roms is back.If i remember it was a kernel issue.
Also the whole phone is somewhat slower in every aspect.I came directly from ics 1.0,no full wipe if that matters.
Will download 0.4 now.

[kernel] Collection of kernels from different Custom-ROMs for S3mini - i8190

1.
Before you flash any kernel here,
- read the ROMs thread about issues and bugs!
- do a full backup of your existing system!
- make sure you know exactly what you are doing!
I will NOT take any response if you brick your phone in any case!!!
Let's do the party...
Because I was always missing some kernel threads for our nice device I decided to start with a collection of available kernels.
To expand that collection YOUR help is highly appreciated!!!
- Please report kernels not/working with ROMs
- Please report if you know about updates.
- Feel free to post kernels here - but please, do not forget to ask about permissions and to give proper credits!

But Fude kernel has it's own thread And besides, it's not a kernel from a ROM (like the title of this thread says ).
Very nice thread @grinder777. Although I use stock-based custom ROMs, this is gonna be as helpful for some people as this is for me

As written at OP, you are very welcome to help!
I don't have stock ROM no more, therefore I'm not able to test those kernels. If you have a link I will add, if you like to extract,
- take chacos kernel,
- extract it
- replace boot.img and
- replace system/lib/modules
- zip it again, uncompressed
- flash and test it
and it will be added soon!
Have fun!

But Fude kernel has it's own thread And besides, it's not a kernel from a ROM (like the title of this thread says ).
Very nice thread @grinder777. Although I use stock-based custom ROMs, this is gonna be as helpful for some people as this is for me

Sorry, i never read the full title of the thread. On my phone the thread looks titled 'collection of kernels'. Its only when i click on it i see 'collection of kernels from diffrerent roms for s3 mini' . Silly me

Did not try myself yet. I'm not sure if it will work with f2fs but something BIG is growing here. Please report if you tried.

Tested his Kernels on different ROMS (Vanir and AA´s Slim). Both Kernels (stable 3.0.31 and beta 3.0.44) work without issues. On Vanir for example they solve the well known bluetooth issues

Would you mind testing the PA-kernel at Vanir?
I'm still with Carbon...

I am at M&Ms Carbon with system, data & cache at f2fs...
So I don't expect your kernel to work here, but am not sure.
How is it about f2fs? Has it to be supported by the ROM or by the kernel or both?

[STOCK 5.0.2] LollipopExtended Kernel for G2 Mini

LollipopExtended Kernel for LG G2 Mini (-L.E.K.-)
General information
Author: Nikita Pro Android
What is it: stock kernel with added features, most of them can be disabled/enabled on your own.
For what ROM is it: any 5.0.2 STOCK-based ROM
Kernel version: 3.4.0
LGE source code version: v20b (the last available for G2 Mini & L90)
Kernel toolchain: official last google ARM-EABI-4.8

1) Added GPU overclock (533 MHz)
2) Added RAM overclock (566 MHz)
3) Added new CPU frequency: 499 MHz.
4) Added new GPU governor: conservative
5) Fixed simple_ondemand GPU governor crash - now it's working fine
6) Added Simple GPU Algorithm by Faux123 - additional for msm_adreno-tz GPU governor.
7) Some tweaks for GPU drivers - now it displays not visible before the "zero" GPU frequency 19 MHz
8) Added new CPU governors: conservative (already was in kernel, just enabled), interactive (already was in kernel, just enabled), pegasusQ, wheathley, zzmove, intellidemand, intelliactive, intellimm
9) Added INTELLI_PLUG & Alcucard_hotplug
(analogs for standart MPDesicion)
10) Added new I/O shedulers: cfq,
sio, sioplus, fiops, fifo, vr, zen
11) Added USB forced fast charge V2 (now there's no bug with charging battery icon after unplugging phone)
12) Added KSM Page Check (kernel object which check if page already has scanned)
13) Added Dynamic FSync (fs tweak)
14) Added powersuspend v1.5 (new google driver for autosleep - configure in Kernel Auditor -> Misc Controls -> Power Suspend Mode, set on "autosleep").
15) Added some minor tweaks and optimizations (NOT any -O3 "super" optimizations which just add bugs and random reboots)
v2.0:
16) Updated RAMdisks (D410 - V20D, D405/D405n - V20C)
17) Added support for init.d (to enable write in build.prop sys.init.d=on)

No. I tried your method with sysinit.sh from kitkat kernel but test script did not work.
But it's easy to add init.d support in ROM by flashing this .zip via recovery: https://yadi.sk/d/U6QL57k0i4Z4t

Where is the RAMDisk located in the source?
I will see if I can get it working.
Also, did you disable SELinux?
How to overclock RAM? What are the best governors for i/o, gpu and cpu?

Custom recoveries do not need a specific android version.
They work on all android versions.

I do not upload ramdisk - not many changes in it.
Selinux must set on "permissive" after boot.

Every RAM freq synced with every CPU freq. So, on 1190 MHz CPU you will have 566 MHz RAM.
Read in internet about governors and shedulers - it's on your own. I choose intelliactive+msm_adreno-tz (with Simple GPU algorithm settings)+sioplus.

As on kitkat - download and unpack .zip with custom recovery, then install .img with Flashify.

I don't think it's possible to add init.d support at zImage. Only RAMDisk.
I could unpack the RAMDisk with Android Image Kitchen, mod it and sent you the modded version. If you want me to.
BTW, what do you mean with this:

It does or you want it to?
I see you switched installation spoilers for G2 mini and L90
What about version for stock KK?
