Sync game saves between phone and tablet. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently playing Dead Space and Mass Effect on my android tablet. I'd like to be able to play the games on my phone without having to start over. Does any one know of a good way to sync the game saves between the devices?
Thanks

I would try Ti Backup Pro, I use it to sync my data saves to my Dropbox or Google Drive, then both device have access to the same data. Install the app normally though just restore the data...Of course both have to be rooted I think to properly save data like that.
Good Luck,
jerems

I've not rooted my phone yet but will do that tonight and give it a try.
Thanks

This is a better solution:
Root both devices
Download DirectoryBind (from XDA)
Install Dropbox (I'm sure you already have it, but if you don't use my link and we both get free space)
Create a link between your dropbox folder and the gamesave folder (so effectively, the save is sent to the dropbox folder instead. Whenever the game looks for the save it thinks it's finding it in the usual location, but instead it's on dropbox)
Do the same for both devices for effortless saving between devices
(I have a similar script setup for my PC game saves )

I finally got round to rooting my phone last night. I gave directory bind a try. I have set it up on the phone and the tablet. everything seems to be syncing fine however the game progress isn't syncing. Am I wrong in thinking that the game saves will be in the data folder for the game? for instance
/sdcard/Android/data/com.ea.deadspace_row/files/published/data
Thanks

Where is the save file located for mass effect? I could not find it in the eagames folder in the android directory. Would it be possible to take the save file from my phone and add it to my tablet for mass effect? I don't need it to sync but i gamed on my phone but now that i have a nexus 7 i would like to do all my gaming there.
any help or suggestions without rooting both? Additionally, a few of my nexus 7s have had screen lifts so I may be getting them replaced with google. I would also be filling to just transfer the mass effect save file from nexus7 to nexus 7
thanks,
Brian

Hi there, first time poster so I'm hoping for good luck
I need to transfer my saved game from my Verizon Galaxy Nexus to my Nexus 7 tablet. This is a one-time only transfer (I don't need to be going back and forth between devices). Is there any way to accomplish this for Deadspace without root and without paying for the pro version of an app?
My other option is to root both devices but I would then have to immediately unroot the Galaxy Nexus (And I'm still not clear on whether there is some secret way Verizon can tell that I have rooted my phone in the past).
Thanks for all your help!

Transfer app data from Android to another Android

I don't plan to switch phones anytime soon, but it would be good to know for the future.
Is there a way to transfer the data from apps from one Android to another? This is especially useful for games with saved data inside the phone, such as Angry Birds or Temple Run.

You can use the application titanium backup, the paid version sports bulk operationand us Hyatt want you need, although it's not recommended to use it across Android versions
Swyped form ym Dersie S unsig XAD Permuim
Or MyBackup. Backup all your appa and it will create a folder on your sdcard with all your applications u backed up!
The savefiles is not available for every games, just some games futures savefiles that are on the sdcard also. You just have to check if your games got savefiles (try searching for the game name on the sdcard and see if there is some extra files).

gaming with same data on different devices

say, i wanna play gta 3 on my phone and after a while i switch to my tab and go off where i left off with my phone
is there any app or way that shares the same game data on different devices?
If you're rooted you could copy the data folder from /data/data/ then blue tooth it, then paste it.

In the case of losing your phone, some apps on Google Play supports "remote wipe" feature that helps you to clear your phone remotely.
Yeah currently a big fan of lookout premium now was just wondering about the encryption because I'm sort of paranoid and I have a lot of sensitive data and I work in a high risk environment just worried if my phone isn't lost but someone gets a hold of it for a short time enough to plug in through USB or something of that nature

[Q] Simpsons tapped out backup, will it work.

Hi guys,
I want to flash some custom roms on my one x. I really like "Simpsons: tapped out" I'd like to continue playing it. My problem is, that I'm not sure if a Nandroid backup will be enough, since the game is syncing all the time and I don't know where the data is saved.
Does someone have experience with transferring this app to another rom??? What do I need to do??? Is it even possible to properly backup this game???
Thanks already for your help.

Would also like to know this! Was going to send my N4 back under warranty but would like to save progress...

It doesn't sync on Android. I don't what is happening when it says sync, but the info on play store says that it has a local save file on Android.
Curious about this as well. I was on recently level 11, and decided to flash a new Rom. As always, I used tibu to back up my apps. I wiped, flashed the new Rom, and restored my backups. I played tapped out for a while, but at one point, all my progress was lost, and it started over at level 1. I cleared the game data, uninstalled, and restored my backup again. Still at level 1. Really sucked to start all over again!

Having the same issue here. I extracted the data file for the simpsons game. I restored it into the right folder after I reinstalled the game but after going out of the game it seems to delete all the saved data I just placed there manually. Someone else suggested using TiBu which I just used but I'm not sure it will work.
I tried everything I could think of to get it to work, but it's obviously syncing with a server somewhere, but with no way to log in, it's pointless.

I'm considering editing what permissions tapped out has and going from there. Maybe that will prevent it from syncing but then again it may not work at all after after that

I tried to backup using titanium, buy mystery boxes and if they were bad restore the backup.
Sadly, this didn't work and I'm left with a couple of trees
Pretty sure that means it does actually sync data to servers about money and donuts

I wonder if the problem has to do with the Google account association of the phone. You know how when you flash roms a lot of times to Google it is if it is now a different device and you lose your Google apps library (well, you have it, but according to Google it is off on a different device.) I really wish Google would let you merge device profiles in the app store.

Yea that would be easier. But it does allow for what you have installed recently at least. I can see what I have installed on my tablet and my phone or at least see the whole list anyways

1: How can you go negative with these currencies, I didn't think this was possible?
2: I'd like to move my tsto game from my s2 running cyanogen onto my nexus; would titanium be suitable for this, as they are both bound to the same google account?

The modded apk file did work at one point where it let you go negative both in money and in donuts. Now it doesn't work for me.
I tried using it both on my phone and my tab 2 and that didn't work either but I also at the time didn't use titanium backup. It's worth a try
From what I've been reading people have been having a lot of luck backing up to titanium backup

Ok, I loaded super nexus onto my s2, and used titanium to restore my game. The game loads, and seems ok, then locks up the phone requiring a battery pull. No other issues at all, problem only ever occurs with this app.
Anyone think of any suggestions other than wiping and reloading the app?

Hi guys,
Glad to see someone else is trying to do the same sort of thing as me. I've got a completely stock Nexus 7 (that I don't want to go down the rooting option just yet as it's a shared tablet with the gf) and I'm quite far into Tapped Out but I installed it originally from the leaked APK prior to it hitting the UK play store. I've since googled for the updated APK's as and when needed but now all I want to do is uninstall the "wrong" APK and install the one from the market without losing my progress. (It would also be extremely nice if I could find a way to sync the progress between my Nexus and my S3 but I think that's just a pipedream for now).
Anyone got any clues on how to do it on a stock device?
Well for anyone having a similar issue, have a look into Carbon on the play store from the makers of ClockWork Mod. Backs up apps without needing root. Very good little app.

This is the best way! And I am speaking from experience, works flawlessly and you can backup to external SD if you want to. Since you are not rooted, you need to use the PC app as well, after that, you can backup as if your phone was rooted.
With that Smart Switch app from Samsung you just have to download it on your S3 and new S4. Then let each others' backs touch, and everything will be transferred via wifi direct which is very fast.

Thanks guys for the recommendations. Here are my take on these:
Samsung Switch - tried this, useless as F!
Helium - could have taken that route were it not for the software I used
Sorry Glebun. Won't happen again.
As for the software I used, it's Wondershare MobileGo for Android. Did what it's supposed to do. Pretty much.
I just hate that there are multiple entries in the phone book. For example, he has a contact with multiple numbers, all of them are going to be on a separate entries. Strange.
Should've tried Helium.
