[Help] FXP CM10 related. - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

This is weird, just to see, I tried the FXP method of installing FXP C10 ROM, and on doing that the phone would freeze on the FXP logo.. So i tried the usual way after that, Kernel, wipe, rom, gapps.. But ever since I used FXP's method, when ever I try installing FXP ROMS (CM9 and 10) it says installation aborted, error in .zip..
So I formatted my SD card and copied the ROM again, still the same result..
Anyone?

Are you sure the .zip isn't corrupted? Try to dowwnload again. (or test by unzipping the rom fully to your HDD)
Sent from my phone.

did u flash the kernel inside fxp zip?

Sometimes if you have regional based device such as wt19a (USA variant) this installation not work. If so first flash international based firmware and flash rom normally.
Most of the time recovery display long errors. Its better add full error in here.

Yes.. Tried with KRsH Kernel as well ( I would have flashed FXP Kernel after installing the ROM )

That isn't the case with my phone.

Ok problem solved..
build.prop error means I have to use a Kernel that doesn't verify name in build.prop..
So I tried expeacer's MIUI Kernel(Extended stock kernel) and I was able to install CM10..
This info was courtesy of metalrawk
This could possibly be the reason why FXP instructed to flash the Kernel after ROM installation

Now I'm getting this error with Extended stock Kernel and Matkos0 kernel as well....
And now also with KRsH Kernel.
What to do?

use flashtool and flash an ftf stock firmware then flash the fxp kernel from fastboot mode then flash the rom

change kernel

Cant you see how many Kernels I've tried?

Ok, here's the thing I've noticed.. Don't know if it is relevant though.. But here we go..
What I've noticed is that, if I have installed a ROM other than FXP CM9 or CM10, before I try re-installing FXP CM9 or CM10, I don't get that getprop error.
But, if FXP CM9 or CM10 ROM is installed on my phone and if I try re-installing a CM9 or CM10 ROM (after full wipe), then I get the getprop error, irrespective of which Kernel I'm using.
I had restored to MIUI and now when I tried installing FXP CM10 on KRsH Kernel, I got no error and FXP CM10 was installed successfully..
So what could be the possible cause for this?

Ohhhkkkaaayy.. Now this is weird.. Now I tried installing FXP CM10 having already installed FXP CM10, on FXP Kernel(after full wipe), and I got no error.. A clean install..
WTF is happening??
And another thing, this was really weird, I installed FXP CM10 and as soon as it started, playstore started downloading 'File manager' and following that 'TrackID™'
OMG, another thing just happened
Now the wallpaper was restored to touchwiz wallpaper (which I had applied previously, but that wasn't the last applied wallpaper) on rebooting the phone
What the is going on??
I have no more patience to try CM10 for now.. back to MIUI.. I"m really tired today..
But if anyone knows the cause and/or the solution to this strange problem, then please do post here.
Thank you.

it is the problem wit the updater script..
unzip the rom package..
meta-in > com > google >android > here u find the updater script file..
edit the file with notepad++ remove 1st 6lines and save.
than make a new zip and flash it..

Is your bootloader unlocked?
Try to install this rom and kernel for cm10. Maybe it could work. Later you could try to install fxp kernel/rom again.

i won't flash cyanogenmod without a stable version out,
Does rooting Voids official updates. .
heard that they will be out this week..
best kernel is Rage kernel and best rom (battery, music, stable) is ginger-crustz rom by Lasan
hybrom v16 more stable with x kernel. and now i do try with hybrom v17.
I think CM7 RC3 is super stable..... www.get.cm ......
I am using CM7 for a month now, with Rage kernel, and believe me when i say.....its the fastest, my phone can get.
U can flash dual speaker fix by @someguyfromhell and it works like a charm. Though i wasn't able to figure out Xloud, but still....ringtones are pretty loud (i dont listen to music on the speaker).
Battery life is awesome......It's as stable as the 2.3.4 stock ROM!
If you don't want overclocking flash Hybrom v17 + bboof kernel

However, there seems to be one bug: the compass does not seem to work.

Thanks everyone for kind reply to my question!
I am using Simple Compass download from Google Play (which used to work well in my stock rom.
I have also tried Compass but with the same problem that the North direction would change when I change the phone's position.
After receiving the advice I have install the Smart Compass (also free from Google Play) and it works . I am very happy with this Rom.
About kernel:
I have flash Night-Elf kernel 9.0c for stock rom FW.42 (using fastboot) and then install the SE Tweaked 1.0 Rom using cwm included in the Night-Elf kernel.
I checked in the the setting about phone it showed now [email protected]#1.
Thanks
The OC option in the SE tweaked 1.0 rom is very useful.
I can now play let's golf 3 smoothly. It used to cause lots of lags in the stock rom (I guess because this game is quite heavy).
What a great rom!. Great job of the TeamXperia!

But we based this rom on night elf for neo and v so that is sufficient for our ginger bread v1

im just helping people out, but that doesnt mean random people didnt know anything. Right now im on SE tweaked but on version 0.7 since its the stable config for me IMO. nightelf kernel is good but it gives me some wifi problems, so im trying different kernel. even ics has bugs yet so i would remain in GB for the mean time.
@forest1971, sorry i didnt read your question thoroughly, i didnt read that its not for me. AFAIK, kernel is not included in the roms that are in here, you can flash any kernel you want as long as its for GB or ICS separately.
you should read more. again im just helping people out.

Since you said you tried CM7/CM9 I'm assuming that your phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked.. if yes then you need specific kernel for a specific ROM...
Fxp kernels for cm7 and cm9
DoomLords kernel with wifi fix for x10s/tech devil ROMs
Fear kernel for feraroms...
Download and do a clean install(delete everything from your MICRO SD card, wipe system, cache and dalvik. Mouth system, cache and wipe them) of kernel and ROM....

You r not screwed.... chill its ok.......... If you have a card reader use it or mmc to SD card adapter and plug it into laptop... then you can copy what zip files you want onto memory card...
look for this kind of readers from eBay/best buy/amazon/chroma/big bazaar. Etc.....

Why u think the battery is the problem? my telephone doesnt fall out he only reboots very often.. sometimes 3 times after eachother.
I am now using the original 2.3.3 software from sony ericsson. I uses updater service. Now still when i do many things or use a large number of the processor he trips and reboots...
i dont like standard android 2.3.3 software is there any rom that is light and runs smooth with some nice things.
I think its not recommended to use a android 4 rom isnt it?
thnx for your great help all!!!

i wont suggest ICS/android 4.0 roms as they drain battery faster...

It's coz my problem exactly like you no matter what rom I'm using.. So I'm just giving u advice based on my experience
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
Had the same problem until I replaced the battery kept shutting down on me at 85% charge now its back to normal cost me £5 for a new battery
Make sure to follow battery instructions then carry out a battery calibration aswell then after a few full discharges and full charges you'll be back to how it used to be when the phone was new
Hope this helps

Changing from CM10-nightly to Zelly Cream 2.0

hey there,
I'm currently running the 9-20121028-NIGHTLY-mango on my xperia mini pro. the kernel is 2.6.32.9-FXP.
I'm wondering if I can change easily to the Zelly Cream 2.0 ROM.
In this thread it says I need a .587 base but I can't figure out whether this cyanogenmod has the requested base or does that mean i have to go back to stock? if so where do I get that stock ROM?
thanks for your help
EDIT: ****, I meant CM9

well since you have cm10, im guessin your bootloader is unlocked. so you will have to flash a compatible ICS kernel then follow instructions on how to flash Zellycream 2.0

If you have CM9 then that must mean you have an unlocked bootloader. So, just flash a compatible kernel like Lupus or Mesa, wipe the required stuff (data, cache, system & dalvik cache) and then flash the rom and reboot.

That is only for locked bootloaders.
ok. i downloaded th lupus kernel. going to test it now
EDIT: after hours of trying. no success. I tried the rom with different kernels but it wouldn't work :/ it always stopped after the installation. the lights were on and nothing happened for nearly an hour.
i'm back to cm 9.1 with the lupus kernel.
EDIT2: I couldnt go to sleep without trying a third time this time with the mesa kernel, succes! the system is starting and running smoothly. thank you all!

hey so mesa works flawlessly>>
Also I am planning to move to zelly cream having CWM 10
as far as I can see it works great. in the beginning i had some randomn reboots but they are gone now. But I have another little problem and since I don't have 10 Posts I can't ask in the Zelly Cream Thread.
There is no system alarm installed in the ROM. How can I get a system alarm like the one in stock or in CM?
I there a zip I can flash?
hopefully someone sees my request in here

Not Getting WiFi on any ICS Rom on Neo V

I'm Having kinda weird problem. The story is yesterday i was on Mikeys Cm10.1 and i was bored with it so i thought to install any ICS Rom so i installed Xperia T Rom by Zohaib with Lupus Kernel v8 from Arc section with its Neo V patch but problem was its Neo V patch was buggy. so after installation of that Rom i got invert camera on my Neo V so i thought that there is nothing sense to keep this buggy Xperia T Rom and i changed Rom to UHD 4.0 with same previous Lupus v8 kernel & after installation UHD 4.0 i see that my Phone not detecting my WiFi which is in my House. so i tried nightelf 1.5 Full kernel but still not working WiFi also tried Suave v6 kernel with Stock ICS WiFi modules but still my WiFi not worked so i again changed Rom to Cm10.1 of Mike & what i see my WiFi is Working fine on mikes Cm10.1 so again i changed Rom to New Xperia Z1 Honami(ICS) ROM by with Suave Kernel & Stock ICS WiFi Modules to check if WiFi is working or not but on Xperia Z1 Honami(ICS) ROM again my WiFi is not working so it means My WiFi is only working on Jelly Bean(Mikes Cm10.1)Rom but not working on any ICS Rom
So if anyone expert here plz Help me :silly:
