MTS MNP problem - Optimus One, P500, V General

First of all Hello MTS, Finally today i m going out of ypur network. Today night i will be shifted to tata.
Although i had worst experience with MTS & what is the best i got from you is your ZTE CS1602 hand set with best battery backup (offcourse that is not free by you & made By ZTE, So this thanks is also goes to ZTE).
People who are fighting (You can say requesting again and again) with MTS, Let me explain you the whole experience then you will understand the matter-
1. My brother is living in delhi. He port his airtel number to MTS. Then he found MTS to be very expencive during roaming almost spending more then 300-400 on roaimng. So after 4-5 months i can't remember exactly he tried to port his number to TATA postpaid providing 2000 min of free roaming & many other plan. When he asked/ write for MNP he found MTS has blocked MNP (UPC) Number. He tried daily for 7-10 days. Then he called customer care & asked for the problem they told there is no problem with MNP.Again & Again he called coustomer care they were telling same, Then he quarreled with them many time & then one person told my prother to talk to higher authority. Then higher authority person told him to write sms between 6-7 pm in evening then only he will be able to port. And finally ......
2. Now with me same problem in BIHAR. Here i asked several times for complain number but customer care person dosen't gave me the complain number (Directly they refused). They told me that you have to talk to MNP team, they can only provide you. I told them to connect me to that team but they told that they are busy, you try later. Same thing happened several times then i loose my patience & i start shouting. Then they told ok sir we will forward your complain today. suddenly i thaught this fraud company is opening MNP for 1 hour in 24 hour ( As happened in delhi). what is the time no one knows, to show people that they are fair and few people appling in that period by mistake getting every thin fine. I started send msg every hour. Finally in Bihar in 9 a.m - 10 a.m. what i found, got the MNP code.
This way my half chapter ended. I applied for MNP every thing going fine. suddenly i got a msg that your request for service is canceled. i called TATA person they told no there is no such problem from our side. i called MTS & straight away i told we are going to court, if any thing happened wrong. We were preparing all paper but today i got confirmation that your number will be ported today night. In mean time i wrote all these detail to customer care MTS , Secretery TRAI, Consumer care, Telecom authority And many more even i can't remember. I Requested them to see the site full of complain. It mean perso who are literate ( Know Internet & all) they they are fighting for their service but illeterate people (i cnat have exact word mean Who can't go upto this extent) or people from village, What about them. They have to compromise.........
So i suggest all of you who are trying to port their number (Want freedom) from MTS that they have to fight. I will suggest you & request you Not to quarrel or abuse with any person but you have to talk to them and ask for your right. Do what you can do for yours......... I will also suggest you to write to TRAI. If many complain they will get then they will take action, Not on single complain as done by me.

[Q] [ROM][CM9][KANG]CM9 Vibrant Build 15 - issues

So I've been hearing a lot of good things about this ROM for us vibrant users.
Nonetheless, there is yet to confirm if the 911 issue is resolved? does anyone know and/or can confirm?
I am really surprised why people would even bother taking the risk of moving around with the 911 functionality.
I'm an old fart, 58 today, and lived most of my life before 911 existed. It no big deal to me. I have my local police and fire departments numbers on my phone and the same for where my elderly mother lives as I can't get her any help with 911 anyway. I don't see any more need than that. But that's me.
Thanks for the reply.
But I was wondering what about students, working professionals who tend to work away from their area (students studying in different cities) and for individuals who are travelling. You never know when an emergency strikes (kinda like the reason it was defined in the first place)
Sincerely,

You should check the developers section for the threads about 911, this has been discussed already, it comes down to not having official samsung source code, everything that the devs have acomplish so far has been thru reverse engineering (very amazing btw) but with out time/money/equipment the devs cant do much.
I was running build 14, tried build 15 and had real trouble with it, recommend trying 14 first or waiting for 16. Haven't tried 911.
E911 has indeed been fixed in CM7.

As long as the CM9 build doesn't have a custom libaudio for Vibrant, it should work. But, caveat emptor, as always with ROMs.

So someone who lived most of their lives before seat belts were invented should be able to say that they aren't worried that their car doesn't have seat belts because they were alive for many years before seat belts came out? New safety technology is always going to be coming out. When the next thing comes out every person on the planet will have lived most of their lives before it existed but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be using it.
Having the local police and fire department phone numbers in your phone are not a replacement to 911.
- 911 calls can be made on wireless networks that you are not a subscriber of. You're out of service on T-Mobile, but you can pick up a signal from some small company. They aren't going to allow you to call a standard number but you can call 911. If you have an old phone with no SIM card, you can't call the fire department but you can call 911.
- Your location is sent when you call 911. If you just call the police department, they will not know where you are. Because you are calling from a cell phone you could literally be anywhere. This may not seem important but there are many times when the caller is unsure of his location or is unable to communicate his location to the operator.
- 911 calls are automatically routed/transferred to the correct answering point. If you're out of town, you don't want to call your hometown fire department. Calling 911 assures you will always be connect to the correct people.
There are also other advantages but I don't really understand them well enough to explain them, but I do know that they provide many advantages over simply dialing the police department. There is a reason that the government has many laws regarding the 911 system and how it interacts with cell phones; there are many important advantages of the E911 system.

ZTE Warp (Was Boost) then after reset is now cricket

I am having problems with zte warp phone. my cousin bought it 6 months ago from a boost store (in our inner city in upstate NY). He tried to activate it and was told it was involved in an insurance claim and would take up to 30 days to be cleared. My cousin put it aside for a month then decided to flash a rom and recovery and ended up bricking the phone. Someone he met at work offered to fix it so he paid him 40 bucks and the guy at work gave him back a working phone. He never activated it since he waited all that time he ended up buying a galaxy s2. well last week he gave it to his father to replace a broken non android phone. Boost would not activate it due to its now running cricket software. If you dial 211 or 611 it goes to cricket. HERE IS where it gets goofy. He gave me the phone a few days ago to see if I can find a file to flash it back to Boost. So far I have not found anything. Tonight I heard a strange ringtone and the warp was ringing. I missed the call. I then tried calling my cousin from it and received a fast busy signal. I then added our area code 585 then his number and the call went through. BUT someone else answered. I asked him what his number was and he told me to F myself I called him. this was not my cousin. Under system info it lists a phone number on the phone but when I called it a woman in Florida answered and said she has had her phone number 10 years.
I am lost over this. Im guessing somewhere along the way this was cloned possibly?
Any way I am trying to convert this back to boost. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The boost account is already paid for and set up but they said they can not allow us to program the phone while it has "Cricket firmware" on it.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Is anyone's T-Mobile service just suffering lately? I have had a terrible time with T-Mobile lately. My HTC One, before being replaced, couldn't send MMS or make calls because of "insufficient funds" even though my plan has unlimited for both. I got my phone replaced, and it was working for a few days, but then, I couldn't receive incoming calls. I had to switch my # like 4 times to no avail, the company retail location tried to get me to buy another 30 days and lose my money for the current month. I had to call the 1-800 #, they transferred my info and credit into a new account and the problem was solved. Here's the next issue: my dad cannot get phone calls to come in with his Galaxy Note II. It's insufficient when he cannot receive calls during work. I can get calls, but I am just annoyed with T-Mobile because they even refused to give me an unlock code even though I have used my HTC One in a time over 40 days and I have been with T-Mobile for years.

You didnt say where you were. Might have a better response if you asked "Is t-mobile service getting worse in Ames, Iowa" or something similar. T-Mobile is always upgrading, so it could be that there is something going on around your location. Most of the times this is for the better, once you get past the preparation phase.
As for the unlock code, call them back and get another person. They are by far the best of the big 4 in unlocking phones. Tell them you are leaving the country and need to be able to use a foreign sim.

I am in Miami, Florida. I doubt it is upgrading since two phones are "problems with the device" according to T-Mobile. I already replaced my old phone, so that was solved like I said, but their LTE coverage is really weak down here compared to the 40 up and 20 down other areas of the country see. I had problems again with my phone, but that was with my account for some odd reason, so my faith in T-Mobile is a little weak right now.

[Q] IMEI blacklisted as Lost or stolen, not sure what to do

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, first time poster here.
In December I purchased a nexus5 off of some guy that was selling one in my local area. He seemed like a good guy, the phone was in the original box and I was pumped at getting one for a bit cheaper than they are on the play store. Although this last week it randomly could not connect to the network, so I called Telus (my Canadian provider) and after a half hour of troubleshooting they told me that the IMEI is blacklisted as a lost or stolen device? I feel pretty ripped off and disappointed. I found the guys email that I brought it from and tried to contact him but he wont answer his phone, texts, or email. So I don't know what to do? Am I just screwed and forced to buy a new phone? is there anyway I can change the IMIE address? Or anything that anyone can recommend I should attempt to do? Thanks in advance for any help that can be supplied!
Always check before buying. If it is stolen (instead of lost) then you should turn it in to the police. But there is no way to tell and the provider will never tell you which.
It also isn't unheard of for a telco to incorrectly block a phone. I'd try arguing your case since you used it for a month before they shut you down.

Thanks for the input. Who would I contact about arguing it? I talked to someone at Telus for a good half an hour, and they just told me that they have no control blacklisting the IMEI. They would if say i was under contract and I didnt pay my bill. But I am off contract and just put their SIM in my unlocked device. The person told me that say for example if the phone was stolen from BestBuy in novemeber, it could have worked this entire time because it took bestbuy this long for them to put the numbers in there system, and it finally just caught up with me. And also, my SIM works in my friends nexus4, so it doesnt have anything to do with Telus, its an issue with the phone not getting access to the towers. And if it is blacklisted on the national list for being lost or stolen it wont work on any of the carriers in the country... So i dont know what to do

HELP PLEASE Alcatel A466BG network problem

Please anyone i am in desperate need of some help! I have a SafeLink phone just a simple one. But it's been my phone for about a year already. I left my phone outside on my back porch for like 15 mins one day while I was inside feeding my baby and when I grabbed it again it wouldn't make any calls or texts or anything. Just a blank white hollow triangle on the top like I had no service. When I try to make a call it tells me cellular network unavailable. I rebooted my phone hoping it would make it work but it did not. Then some message appeared on my status bar it said SIM card not provisioned mm#2.
I have called multiple times to the company and I get put on hold for ever. In the end they tried telling me my phone should be working. It states that my phone number is in service and my sim card is provisioned. Usually I wind up frustrated and hanging up.
I tried calling my phone number and it would ring and eventually tell me the person you called has a voice mail box that has not been set up yet. When I had an answering machine. Then today when I called it gave me some crazy message about "welcome to Verizon wireless, the number you are calling has been changed, disconnected, or no longer in service" BUT MY SERVICE HAS NEVER BEEN THROUGH VERIZON. ALWAYS SAFELINK.
Today. I called them again and sat through 2 hours of being on hold and finally they asked for my account information and they told me it did not match the information they had on file for me. WTF?! They could not pull up anything with my phone number and my name. I am shocked and I don't know what could have happened. I do know that there is some one who stays here at my mom's house who lives in the back bedroom that happens to be a shady scandelous person and he is also pretty good with hacking etc on phones. He knows I know all the crap he does like steals people's info to get new phone service so he basically never has to pay a phone bill. He works Verizon wireless and always has a phone he never pays for. He also knows that when I buy the house from my mom in May I am subsequently going to be throwing his shady freeloading ass on the street. Is there any way that he could have done something to my phone service? What does this sound like to you guys. I feel like going back to his room and hitting him with a damn cast iron skillet. (But I won't)
But i am at my wit's end. My phone is my only means of communication and my husband works a lot so I am home most of the time with my 9 month old son and I need to be able to have a line of communication since my husband takes the only car to work.
Help!!!!!!!
Note also when they asked for my meid or imei they said it doesn't match the information they have on file for me... How is this possible?!?!
