Flashing Custom Kernels always bares a chance of radiation leading to infecting your cells with the zombie virus!
Hi there, I wanted a Kernel mostly close to stock which is easy to root and also has overclocking in it. So I decided to compile the newest SE Source and added in a few small changes within the config and the source code. I hope you guys have a use for it too.

comfirm work with fxp145 :good::good: wifi also work!! thx man...will test it more...
just flashed, testing in progress with PACman ROM...
edit// after flashing provided wifi modules, only 2 files left in /system/lib/modules and wifi is not working of course. Are you sure that only those 2 files are enough to get wifi working with your kernel?
... after copying missing modules, wifi not working either. Back to PAC kernel, but looking forward for fix, Fly kernel on ICS was excellent
I'm wondering if HFS+ file system support is possible. If yes, would it be difficult to include that for us mac users?
Tested on MIUI JB which is based on CM10 (FXP i think). Wifi doesnt work here too.
Is recovery glitch fixed?
recovery glitch is not fixed, but it's not a big deal

Wifi does work on FXP145. Its suppossed to have 2 modules in modules folder. The others are included in kernel. They made that change last week. So i figure pacman doesnt yet work like this and you need to wait till he updates with fxp145 sources. (or higher)

PAC-man Kernel Jellybean 4.1 and 4.2 [ PAC / CM ] Neo V *Recovery Updated*

I am posting the PAC-man kernel and modules.
Why?
1. It is stable.
2. It is time-tested.
3. It has many features (governors, io schedulers etc)
4. This way kernel updates can get to users even if ROM is not updated.
(like the recent cwm fix)
Changelog?
Code:
[B]20121212 :[/B]
- Initial (cwm dancing fix)
[B]20121216:[/B]
- Updated recovery to 6.0.2.2
- Power off option in recovery.
Source: Kernel changelog here | Recovery changelog here + minor PACman changes.
Credits?
szl.keiv and the PAC team, Cyanogenmod team.
Support?
I will not be providing support for this kernel. You have been warned.
But i will try to help in whatever way I can.
Download
For PAC 4.1 / CM 4.1 -> Download
For 4.2 based ROMs -> Download
Modules for both (CWM flashable) -> Download
useful stuff.. thanks bro
uh! You are a godsend!
I wish I could thank you to death! limited to 8 thanks :|
Thanks, I will test this kernel to check on Sygic Navigation (it's drive me crazy because it reboot my phone). Boot time is very speed compared to FusioN v4.1 kernel (first boot is long also like on FusioN v4.1 kernel but this is no problem).
This kernel is the perfect compromise between the feature packed FusioN and the barebone FXP kernel. There are no drawbacks for this kernel.
This kernel is very speed. My phone with this kernel boots very fast and working very well. Next days shows how it's stable.

For smoothness and battery life, I will recommend leaving all the settings as default. Set Zram at 18% if you need better performance.

Try out! Just don't load at boot till you are sure it is stable.
My recommendation: Minimum: 249 Max: 1113 ondemand for routine use
(134 to 364 uses the same voltage, so minimum upto 364 causes same battery drain)
everything is work and rom run more stable.
Will it work on PA?(I guess it should work since its based on CM). But has anyone tried already?
I am currently on PA 2.54 by music.soul
Anyways going to try it tonight. Will post the results.
4.2 not work for me get a boot loop.....

I wonder if the Kernel is a V3 Kernel already or still a V2.6 ?
I thought that Sony Kernel for 2011 devices have not stepped up to V3 so I am confused by your label V3.
Can you post the exact Kernel Version you complied and put our stuff in?
So far I am non sirkay xKernel 2.6.32.9 (587d).
What is the major difference between V3 and V2.6 Kernel versions?
Re: [KERNEL][LINARO][ICS][RADEON v3.0] RAY [18/01/2013]
This kernel is not 3x !
So why do you write then:
INFORMATION
Based on Latest Source .587 BY SONY
Present Kernel Version 3.0
And which true Kernel version is then?
2.6.32.9 or later?
Please make your own numbering less confusing - e.g. by giving your Kernel a "name" and then a related version. We already have doomkernel, xkernel, flykernel and maybe otheres I have not noticed yet.
I also wonder why you start with V3 - where have V1 and V2 been?
---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:49 PM ----------
oh. noticed it has a name "Radeon" and there is version V3 - understood
Re: [KERNEL][LINARO][ICS][RADEON v3.0] RAY [18/01/2013]
V1 and V2 were only made for 'MDPI' devices, hope u understood !

stock kernel doesn't support init.d script,so if you want to exec init.d you should follow this step:
1. create /system/etc/init.d 755 use twrp
2. flash kernel
3. enable "Emulate Init.d" by kernel Adiutor
what's the difference between R3 kernel and this kernel 3.4.112.... thanks mate

What kernel is much better ???
@army9000 I don't think USB fast charge is working.
Also, which app would you suggest to be used to change kernel settings like change the governor's and all.
I tried kernel adiutor , works decently.
Battery life has improved but I haven't seen so much improvement in performance. Scored 29785 with stock kernel and 32255 with your kernel on antutu.
Hello army9000!
Currently I'm using Vitataf's modded stock Rom. IHO, the best Rom ever for X1.
But after I tried this kernel, the Rom lost some features, like native adblock.
Is it possible to use your kernel and keep the original features of the Rom?
And hey! Thanks for your work and time, keeping the development of our beloved device up!

this is a real unesesary question, bro if u install a custom kernel obviously you lost the stock kernel features.... and u ask if u can combine the features the answer is yes if u have theknowledge about programing

Chill, dude.
As I said before, adblock is a feature of the modified stock ROM, not a different kernel.
And obviously, if I had that knowledge, I wouldn't ask if it is possible.
But thanks any way!

If adblock function is in kernel, that's impossible; If it doesn't,you can try a factory reset.
Flashed today. Feels very smooth and fast.
@army9000 Just want to know if you're gonna discontinue the other one lollipop stock kernel.
IMO R3 still the best in battery & performance. Although, currently I'm still using and testing this kernel too.
Anyway, many thanks to your effort for our beloved moto x.
Cheers.

In my opinion this Kernel runs smoother AND ist better in Power management.
Does anyone else have the Problem that 3G is sometimes mit working, only edge? After reboot it connects to 3G!
Also WLAN sometimes is connected but every App says offline. Same as above: reboot and everything works fine.
