my camera of galaxy s2 very bad in photography in low light and makes light badly
Dim light coming out of the lamp and the light is in the picture destroys the image and if the lighting in the room weak appear black line and imaginary
compare it to my friend device .. was better than my galaxy
and the pics is very clear aganist my gs2

There is a camera update app for SGS2 in Samsung Apps.
Have you already tried to install and start it?
If not, give it a try.
The app will show you at start, if you need to install this camera update or not (if it is already installed).

hi guys, i have ran into a knot- flashed the deepshining v3 ROM for mozart, and everything's ok, but camera is stuck in 5MP- no 8MP setting anywhere. how can i fix this?
HTC apps also lost from marketplace. not a big issue- i need to fix the cam pronto.
any help would be much much appreciated.

There is probably wrong setting file "camerasettingsmanifest.XXX.xml" for camera setting. It is located in Windows directory.

Many have had that problem, just get another ROM that is more stable and that's it
ive just done the deepshining i found with the 8mp option it was the same colour as the background it was selected just hiding clicking on another option made it visible

HERE IS A VERY SIMPLE WAY TO FIX THIS ISSUE.
Go to settings - open REGION+LANGUAGES option change your display format and system locale to a different region (try it with English India) press to agree the chafes and the will automatically reboot and now you will have 8mpix in your camera settings.

My colors on Samsung galaxy s2 brand new seems to be washed out. I am not sure whats wrong.
I have taken my friends phone picture and my phone picture and his colors are more darker than mine as you can see in the pic.
My colors are more washed out and grey. It is not only in the settings menu, but everywhere else as well, basically the whole screen is washed out.
Both phones are set on STANDARD mode display.
Washed out colors (pic came out a bit bad, but notice the settings menu color which is light grey compared to the one below which is black) :

cant really make out but seems blur.jus do as atifsh said an check out the settings in display wat ur frnd uses an giv feed back...
Both using same rom and kernel. Already wiped and odin back to stock, but still same problem.

wat about the display setting ,brigtness,color(standard,movie,dynamic)....and once jus remove the auto britness and manually lower the light and then set to auto if ur frnd has auto set too...
We have checked everything, all the same!
Try once flashing stock if still u feel the color prblm ,then service center.
Root, using cwm format system partition. After that flash a different stock rom using Odin. Flash gb stock or try ics too.
If this fails hardware issue in my opinion.

Up until the update I still had the Lux button (the button which looks likes the sun and makes your photos look nice?)
After 4.0.0 it's gone, and then 4.0.1 came and it's still not there and then today I updated to 4.0.2 and it's still not there.
Did they completely remove the Lux button or is it just for my device?
I tried clearing cache/data/force stop/uninstall/reinstall two times already still doesn't work.
I emailed them but then I got an auto-mail in my spam folder btw saying they only respond to posts in help.instagram.com but then I followed that link and I have no idea how to post the issue there because it only has links to known issues.
Help.

Same problem here. I also have SGS4 and no "Lux" button in Instagram.
Seems it was removed in the latest instagram versions 4.0.x
I had to revert back to 3.5.3 (no videos) in order to restore the feature. Search the interwebs to find the apk.

already flash stock 2.3.6 , 4.0.3 , CM10.1 , CM 11 , but no luck...so im sure its the hardware problem

Yes you can just buy the camera part & assemble (If you're confident!)
Just search ebay or amazon "galaxy s2 camera" in parts!!

Best to replace lens cover as well while you're at it (only few squid!!) to be on the safe side!

As far as I know camera's are same, not sure where you'd find a store that sold this part??, as I'm not from your part of the globe, I'm in UK!

When i try to take a picture with HDR mode the resolution is locked to 8MP and i can't change it. I want to take pictures in HDR mode with 6MP 16:9 wide screen mode. Is it possible with S3 stock camera app?

Firstly this forum is not for the sprint gs3. this is for the international version. You flash any files here, ur phone will hard brick. Pls go to the appropriate forum next time. Have u tried updating to 4.4? And also try to flash a custom rom. NOT from this forum. go google search "gs3 sprint xda"
