Thats soooo olddd omg. There is an app called carrier iq to tell if u if you have it. Most of providers have removed and almost every single custom rom has it removed. Dude this article is form december 2011.
That's old news. Like, really old. Look at the date on the article. Verizon doesn't use CIQ on any of it's devices. It may use something else, but so far we don't know of anything, so any claims otherwise are just FUD.

yep, well the manufacture knew about it. the users didnt and thats one thing that sparked the quest to remove it.
android devs will always find a way to make the platform better. iOS devs are just happy with what they have :angel:

Well basically, this girl I like, and me have the same phone, the Atrix 4G. Now I wanted to ask her to a dance, and wanna make an app for that, Something creative and original, like say plays a youtube video of me asking her to the dance, then opens up a prompt which says yes and no, if she selects yes, her phone calls/texts me the answer, what is your opinion on this? Point is that if it was able to be released yet, it would be.
No dev wants to release something that still has tons of bugs. the threads will be just filled with arguing and angry *****ing members complaining about it not working.
Believe me, no one wants aosp more then i do.

Yeah, believe he's working with Samsung if I'm not mistaken. Adding new non-samsung handsets to CM may be a restriction of the employment? I hope not, but could be a possibility. I know that if I were hiring someone and giving them privileged company info, I wouldn't want them dev'n for the competition.

a merged rom? how would that even work? the binaries are completely different. hell getting ios to run on android phone would be an accomplishment due to the different drivers needed

Ah yes. Those Blackberries with all that security and superior battery life. Who would be stupid enough to use one of those? Who needs excellent email and calendar integration when you can have 500,000+ apps? Oh, and who needs a phone to be just an excellent phone? Um... maybe people who depend on their phone to get some work done.

They give you instructions to install it on a gs2

Well if anything the manufactures will yank the best parts out and use that in the roms. As far as devs porting it to our phones it will be interesting to see who tackles it. Thats why i asked if there was interest in the mozilla os, might be fun to play with.
