Camera issues on 4.1.B.0.431 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi !
I have an Xperia Mini Pro with version 4.1.B.0.431 and I read around here that have problems with the recording at 720p (19fps).
I really have had problems with the camera at 720p, as crashes for example.
If I use another application such as lgcamera, I can record at 720p smoothly (30fps and stereo) ?? Or do not depend only on the camera app ??
Thanks !

Nope. You need to wait for .587 update which fixes camera FPS.

I'd take a look at media_profiles.xml and see what's going on. ICS .431 seems to have things set to record on mono instead of stereo, but I didn't know about FPS caps.

stereo recording with phone is useless.(and is there 2 microphone in your phone and when you talk, is your voice in stereo mode. lol)

[Q] CM 7.03 what does it support?

Could someone help me make informative choice? It looks like cm 7.03 is the best as of now (2 weeks of forum reading ).
Please confirm some questions about cm 7.03 ?
Do both speakers work correct and support stereo as original build?
Does light sensor worked appropriately?
Does camera work?
Volume and soft home buttons fully supported?
G sensor fully supported?
Does anyone tried Skype videocall / voice call? Doest work?
Does YouTube works well?
I know about HD decoding issue but what it means for video playback? Does it play 1080p? Does it playback 720p? Max video file size? Does it play video files at all?
camera is pixelated

Everything you mention above is fine EXCEPT video/picture taking. You can take pictures with the "camera fun free", and video is okay with Oovoo and Yahoo (Skype doesn't support video, and probably never will now that M$ bought it).
They above "work", but are always rotated 90%. ALWAYS. I tried some fixes (sensor fix, etc), but nothing worked (or it broke something else). Since the girlfriend needs this tablet for her trip to Europe (so she can call home), I settled (after MANY roms) on Calkulin's G-Tab v1.1 and pershoot's latest kernel. I have usable video and picture taking abilities, and it's damn snappy. Sure it's no CM (I have it on my G1 and Nook Color and love it!), but for someone who needs things just to work, that's the best bet.
Using Oovoo, Yahoo, and Reelportal for video chatting...

Audio desync problem on Gingerbread custom rom

Hi all , I'm currently using MiniCM7 v.16 rom on my X10 mini pro and i have noticed that all the famous problem on video recording (video lag and audio desync) still exists also in this rom.
I suppose that these issues come with the updates from low res video/audio recording to HQ video recording and so I would like to understand if there's any possible to see this bug fixed in future rom's and which is the difficulty to solve this bug...?
tnx for any answers!

[Q] Call recording and better camera for ICS on ArcS

hi there - just upgraded to acronium ICS v4 and wonderd if there is a call recording software that records the other side internaly (rather than through the mic)
also - on 2.3.4 i used LGcamera app that gave me superior quality photos and HD videos to the one built in. however it doesn't seem to work on this rom and if i try to use the video recording it not only crash but crash camera use even with the built in app... any ideas of an alternative camera app that compress photos less and code videos in h264?
cheers
michel
Can't answer your camera issue, but call recording depends on the kernel. Doomlords kernels support it but not sure if stock ics does.

[Q] Neo V MIUI GB 2.4.20 Video recording freeze

Hi,
I have a problem with video recording in each MIUI GB ROM.
Every time during recordinng video freeze for 1-5 seconds.
This problem exist for 720p video recording.
When I try to switch to 720x480 - camera doesn't start.
When I swich to 192x144 - video recording working flawlessly but because of the poor quality - the film is useless.
I have tried every kernel for MIUI v2 Neo/NeoV.
I have tried every ROMs MIUI GB for Neo/NeoV and everytime I have a the same problem.
On stock GB ROMs everything is ok.
I have tried lgcamera to chose best max working resolution but I would like to know is it possible to 720p video recording in MIUI GB ROM for my NEO V?
Best regards

Question Best GCam port for the Motorola Edge 40 Pro?

Hello guys, what is the best GCam port for the Motorola Edge 40 Pro? If there is one, where can I download it? Thank you in advance
FYI I tested a lot of GCams 8.8.224 (the latest version as of now) and the only cam that doesn't crash is the Shamim SGCAM_8.8.224.10_STABLE_V9FIX. I will keep it becauseyesterday I was at a live concert and the stock camera microphone is a total mess (every video that I made has the audio extremely distorted, while the instagram camera doesn't have this problem, but the video are ****ty).
There are a few problems tho:
1- it is extremely slow when you click every button
2- without touching any settings, pictures and videos are worst than the stock camera
Let me know if that version works for you, and if so, which setting do you use to improve the camera quality!

Tried what you recommended but that gcam had too many problem. 4k 60fps recording just hangs never actually enabling. I'm satisfied with the camera, just wasn't happy with the speed it takes photos.

Have you tried to record a concert with the stock camera? You would get a super distorted audio (with every other camera app i don't have this problem). For now I keep it just to record live concert, but I know it has a lot of problems unfortunately

I don't go to concerts lol. Everything I've filmed has been fine on my end audio wise, I work in a relatively loud environment and the mic holds up about as well as any other phone.
