3D Movies on Neo V - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi Guys,
I was searching for any way to watch 3D clips/movies on my Neo V lol and unfortunately, I came up with the accessory called YouSee3D (link given below). I was wondering if anybody tried that or any other way to watch 3D movies?
http://www.indiegogo.com/YouSee3D-3D-video-viewer-for-iPhone-and-Android
I know screen should be supported and so the drivers as well, but I was just giving it a try that there might be any way watch 3d movies?
Let me know your thoughts!

117 vies and no reply :crying:

I am sure this works by you sending off $20 and then you see RED when you get nothing back from the scammers who conned you.

Search youtube for 3d videos with YouTube app. You will find some vid but I think u need 3d googles to watch them. Don't know exact. Correct me if I m wrong.

So there ia no way to watch 3d movies on Neo V?
LG Optimus has ability to plqy 3d movies btw. How come neo v cqnt play. Datx bad

im familiar with 3d technologies
technically its impossible to watch 3d clips in neo/v about lg optimus u mentioned in your posts it has 3d display which is made to play 3d clips
but red/blue googles can do it for u
u have to render the movie in red/blue 3d in computer then convert it to a format which device can play it back
but u cant expect hi quality in it

I have Red/Blue goggles with me .. but are you saying that I can watch 3d clips on Neo V using Red/Blue goggles? If yes, then how should I have to render the movie in red/blue 3d in computer? Thanks for your answer!

Download "3dvplayer" and buy a red cyan glass and enjoy 3d video...it will be Chinese videos anyway we can watch some 3d.

I hqve 3D goggles. Once I went to cinema to watch Titanic in 3D and I got those glasses. Will that work? Please check attached image for my goggles and let me know.

only red and cyan glass ...want to buy?? then go to ebay and order its cheap ..

What about 3D on YouTube. Check this...
Can we use red-blue googles to grt 3D effect on this ?

There are two types of 3D technologies,
1- In this we use polarized glasses (usually you will see flickers if you watch 2D videos from these)
2- In this we use red-cyan glasses (you will see those shades of 2D videos from these)
The first one is high quality 3D (these glasses are mostly thick), usually 3D tvs and some of the cinemas (Imax for sure) use this.
Also for this type you need a 3D screen to view 3D videos. So obviously these glasses or this types of videos won't work with Neo/NeoV
The second one is a low quality 3D. You won't get the true 3D effect, but ya, a finger or two might come out of the screen
As this technology does not need a 3D screen, you can watch this types of videos on Neo/NeoV. Also you can make this types of 3D glasses at home, just search how to make 3D glasses videos on youtube.
cheers!

yup only analyph

real 3D movies the ones u enjoy watching in 3DTVs, tv and googles work together to help your eyes to get seprarte pictures like your own eyes
How?
First of all the movie should be recorded by 3D cameras so in each frame it has 2 picture for each of your eyes
Now we're gonna need 3D screens to play them back
3D screens in market are in 2 types
First type needs active glasses and second type needs passive glasses
In active glass technology each glass of your eyes blinks 60 times per second and tv blinks in the same rate too so each of your eyes can see 60 different frame in a second which causes 3d illusion in your brain
But in passive technology glasses wont blink and they seem like normal glasses we use everyday
In this technology the light screen emitts consist of 2 seprate polarization , one polarization for one picture and one polarization for other picture in the same frame
Now googles can use they're polarizied glasses to seprate the different polarization for your eyes and each eye gets sepreate picture and there it is 3d illusion in your brain
Also there is some other 3D technologies in market
But these two are the most
In lg optimus or evo 3D , screen can send different pictures to your eyes and help u see 3d content
But they are very limited in watching angle
.
.
.
.
Conclusion : there is no way to watch this type of 3D in our phone

3D Video Glasses

This maybe has been brought up before, but I wonder if the HDMI out from the Evo 3D could run a set of Vuzix 920 glasses. Sorry, forum won't let me post a link yet, but just google Vuzix Wrap 920.
Then you could play 3D movies and games on a "bigger" screen.
How would anybody know this? No one has the phone yet
If the glasses accept HDMI input then yes.

I asked a similar question earlier. Can you still view 3D content with glasses on a TV even if the TV or computer screen is not a "3D" tv?

no, normal TVs/Monitors can't display the picture the way 3D glasses need it to work..... there is a more technical explanation but that is the summary

Question about stereoscopic 3D technology

Since there is not yet an Evo 3D Q&A forum, I'm asking this here. I hope no one gets offended.
I know very little about 3D technology, but from what I gather, our Evo 3D will actually take two separate photos when in 3D mode and by virtue of the parallax effect, allow us to view them as a single 3D image on the phone. I get that and have no problem wrapping my head around the concept. I confused, however, about the 3D's video capture. I viewed some Evo 3D video content on Youtube and it appears to look like conventional red/blue 3D video, that is, it just appears blurry or out of focus to the naked eye. If I had a pair of those glasses they hand out at 3D movies, would the YT content look like a conventional 3D movie? I found a pair on Amazon for less than $4 shipped and if that's all it takes to view other folk's 3D content, I'll order a pair today.
Does anyone have thoughts or suggestions?

The videos actually upload to youtube as a side by side video, like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi10cVU9B7U&feature=related.
If one has a 3d capable device, then the video is played back as 3d. however, if not, then the video is played back like it is above (assuming youre watching it on your 4g or laptop).
However, i have heard of people being able to use video editing software to put it into a stereoscopic red-blue type video and make it possible to use it with the 3d glasses.

OK, I get it now. The clip I saw must not have been generated by the Evo 3D because it was the red-blue type. That was the primary source of my confusion.

The same 3d content viewed on both phones is going to have the exact same depth and or popout. All the screen is doing on either phone is showing two pictures, one to each eye. The same 3d source is showing the same two pictures on either phone so the 3d effect has to be the same on both.
I think you may be thinking of the camera and not the screen. The evo's cameras are farther apart and would likely make the point where objects appear to pop off the screen farther away on pics taken with the evo. However, if you view pics taken with the optimus on the evo it will have the same depth as when viewed on the optimus.
And to answer your question, you can only adjust the 3d effect in games not in any pictures or video. The games use computer generated images so the effect can be adjusted. In order to adjust the effect in pics and video you would have to photoshop the images seen by each eye which is not something the phone can do on the fly.

Really? Or are you a fanboy of htc?
Because on youtube and on some topics here, people do say the optiumus 3d has more depth with the 3d effect.
Basicly you just said that the 3ds, evo3d and o3d all have desame depths, pop out effects...?
Maybe you can explain a bit more why people are saying the o3d has a better effect?
So if you watch a 3d movie, both the o3d, 3vo and 3ds will have desame effect, depths, pop outs ect?
You made me all confused

Yes, the depth will be the same if you watch the same files on any of these devices. The screen can't change the media, only the media itself can change.
Do some reattach on how 3d stuff works and you will see what I mean.

Yes absolutely the evo 3d, optimus 3d, and the 3ds will have the exact same 3d effect when viewing the same source file, such as avatar 3d or any other prerecorded media.
What people are referring to when they say the optimus has more depth or the evo has more popout is the pictures and video created by the phone. Since the evo's cameras are father apart the two phones will create a different 3d effect even when taking a picture in the exact same location with both phones. This difference is due to the 3d cameras and has absolutely nothing to do with the screen.
The 3d effect simply cannot have any difference in depth when viewing the same prerecorded media. Do a little more research into how 3d works and you will understand this better.
people. i just asked desame at the optimus 3d section and this is what ive got:
You are referring to the differences in the cameras, not the screens. Optimus photos viewed on the evo will have the same depth as when they are viewed on the optimus. All these phones are doing is showing two 2d pictures on the same screen at the same time while blocking the opposite eye from seeing the other pic. The same 3d source will have the same 3d effect on both phones. The same source has the same two pics when viewed on either screen and therefore cannot have a different 3d effect.
Now if we are talking about different sources then of course the 3d effect can be different.

Only true if one assumes that both handsets are using a parallax barrier of the same quality which works equally effective. This doesn't seem to be the case. (3d images on the O3D are supposed to be more crisp and the viewing angle is supposed to be wider as well)
Click to collapse
seems the optimus 3d uses another parallax barrier, so it makes the screen much better in handling 3d.
The viewing angles may well be better on the optimus but when you're in the sweet spot on the evo there is absolutely no bleed over from the other image. This can be seen be winking each eye independently. Therefore the parallax barrier isn't effecting the amount of depth in the 3d when viewed properly.
The amount of depth is determined by the source not the screen. I suspect when people say the optimus has better 3d they're either not viewing the same source on both or they're referring to viewing angles which has nothing to do with the amount of depth in the 3d effect.

Well thanks guys but at least with the 3ds it is possible to set the depth/power of the 3d effect. Maybe the optimus is set higher then the evo3d?
And will there be a fix so the evo3d takes better 3d photos?
It seems everyone agrees the optimus3d is better in that...
Most 3d games you can adjust it. When viewing a picture tap the picture select effects and adjust the 3d alignment to your hearts content. Make it appear far away or make it popout.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
3d games are very different than pictures and video. They are computer generated and therefore the 3d effect can be easily adjusted on the fly. I have two 3d games on my evo and both can be adjusted over quite a large range from off to a lot of depth.
Pictures and video are a different animal. On the evo you can adjust the overlay of the pictures, which is just sliding one pic to the left and the other to the right. Now this does change the amount of depth but on most pictures there is only one point where the image looks correct without the other image bleeding over. This feature is there to compensate for the evo's, cameras being unable to swivel like your eyes. The cameras can't go crosseyed like your eyes can when viewing something close to your face. Some images will get the other image bleeding over and this feature allows you to compensate til there is none.
The problem is everyone here seems to think some super quality screen on one beats the other. Lol.
Ignorant.
People don't even see 3d the same. Certain types of 3d may effect someone more or less than another.
The LG simply assist with focussing on the 3d content.
Thus the content appears smoother more in depth. When really as you adjust. The LG cleary does too.
That would help eliminate the card board effect somewhat.

[Q] Is something wrong with my EVO 3D camera?

I have taken several 3D videos and notice that the alignment of both lenses is not good. There is ghosting and crosstalk on almost every video I take, especially when looking at darker colors. Even when I hold the camera still, the right lens refocuses itself. I notice especially when I play the videos back on my
3D laptop. Is something wrong with my EVO or does it just take bad 3d videos?
Its possible your lenses are not in sync, I don't think there would be a way to fix it. How well does it play yt3d videos from the YouTube app? Are you using a screen protector? Dust/sweat/dirt on the lenses? All that can mess up 3d capturing too.
It plays 3d fine. I have Avatar 3D and it plays really well. It seems to be only the videos that I take. Here are some samples:
wait..it says I can't post outside links
I'd have it exchanged if you just got it. Don't let the store run the update and root that bad boy.

Some Cool in your face type 3D Viz Videos for you

After spending some time trying to figure out a way to make some nice 3d videos of music visualizations I think I got them to look pretty good.
My main attempt was to get the videos to be the in your face type 3D, you know the kind that seems like the object is floating in your face between the screen and your eyes so I tried a ton of things.
I tried Wondershare, Leaowi 3d convertor, Makeme3d, Xillisoft etc... With no decent 2d-3D convertors, I even went as far as installing the IZ3D Driver on my computer in attempt to get a true 3D output. I even went as far as placing my Evo 3d on a tripod and recording the pc screen music viz...
that ended up with nice 3d effects however quality was bad so was the music and it wasn’t really in your face type unless I moved the phone toward and away from the viz..
with still bad outputs I decided to use Fraps recorder to just record the viz in Avi uncompressed, then tried hand break, free make, etc. all kinds and then doing the 2d to 3d, none of the apps worked well, except for Xillisoft, the key was to raise the depth to 10 highest, then to flip Left and Right, it made a nice in your face result.
Anyway, thought I would share them. I am sure someone out there would dig it.
basically it’s just a song playing and the music viz doing its thing and pretty much nice 3d, only issue I have not figured out is trying to keep the size as small as possible yet higher bite rate and clearer, which most will notice the overall; quality isn’t that great I just wish I could get the right combo to make the quality perfect with the 3d conversion,
here is the links to a few videos I made , if some feedback comes that they are liked, I will be glad to show steps to make it or even make more, enjoy
Oh in case anyone curious, I used milk drop Winamp, RV viz, and old ass Vuzix viz I found online (which was actually the nicest looking of all.). That’s the "one called Dangerous:
Also It would be awesome if anyone has similar videos they can share I have not successfully found any online yet
here is just a few screenshots of the video:
Note: I noticed that they each have a different eye distance spot so if it looks or strains your eyes try moving it closer or further
And here is the first 5 videos I uploaded.

With all due respect , Not sure if your wife's ass aint hitting right today or you are just one of those lonely sad mad at the world type people with nothing but negative comments due to your personal dark secrets that you have been completely hiding due to the shock you received at an early age..
But anyway, ya actually to clear it up, filming a music viz with a 3d camera comes out pretty good and in 3d, especially with a stable filming like a tripod
so I don't understand maybe I am just too "stupid" to even understand why your negative comment made any sense as to why I was stupid for doing that.. It's funny how this forum at once was full of friendly and interesting members and lately it's become flooded with one liner morons that like to talk smack without even opening their minds or explaining their reason for being so ignorant..

well I know of all those sites .including sikflicks and many others but like I said on first post , all these google half sbs.and.such searches never really lead me to any viz type videos mostly are movies or short films .. So I wouldnt really call it.nonsense ..as a matter of.fact I have.shown these videos to about 3- 4 friends.whom all have an EVO 3d.and.they were all impressed and stated they have.seen.nothing like it in 3d especially the depth . What needs to be done.which would.be really cool is for someone.to create an app like that Winamp viz called MilkDROP. Or even add some 3d support to "project M" THAT WOULD Be awesome
Oh I just also noticed if you are viewing the videos and notice no 3d then you are probably watching the video upside down and and have the auto rotation locked ..just watched it in the wrong way and noticed the depth was reversed when I had auto rotate off ..

Downloaded and tried the first vid, here is my constructive criticism:
Bitrate is way too low or encoder is way too bad, many scenes with big blocks/squares typical of too low bitrate for high motion videos. VBR may help too (varible bitrate), but a huge increase in bitrate is a must, or lower resolution.
Video has flipped left/right, as described in the text above, I had to rotate the Evo3D slightly to get the correct 3D view.
Problem is that flipping left/right for 3D video with objects deep into the screen, does not give you out of screen effects. The source has to be correct and show out of screen 3d to begin with. The following video shows perfect out of screen 3D, the logo is always within the screen border (reb/blue only, but you will get the point): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4woa-Hodg4
In this case, you need to work with the 3d driver settings and adjust the parameters and it will only work for a few scenes, for example the metaballs that never leave the screen.
Tunnel sequence does not need to be out of screen to be kickass in 3D.
A tip is to hook up your PC or Evo 3D to your 3DTV or 3D projector.
You or your friends will get motion sickness within 1 minute, brilliant
