[Q] How to remove Samsung Service Menu from homescreen? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all!
Need some help here. Finally got the title right. Now here's my issue:
1. Different ROMs and kernels
2. Flash back stock ROM and kernels
3. Wipe everything using CWM and through the phone setting
4. Wipe cache and dalvik but not use clear data on CWM
The problem happens whenever I am flashing over stock (or anything close to stock) ICS. JB and GB roms have no problem but only ICS. So, what is wrong guys?
I am running out of ideas so please help. (p/s I did try to search here and Google but can't find an answer )

Why on earth did you create this new thread when a solution to your problem is already posted to their previous thread (which you also opened).
As a senior member, i expect you to follow the forum rules.

[Q] [ROM - AROMA][16 Sep]Jelly King AOKP_v.1.6.2 JB 4.1.1. power saving mode

Hi I can't post in the actual forum as not posted enough on XDA, so I am asking if anyone can help that has this rom or the dev etc.
Just no idea where the power saver mode has gone and I have searched the thread a few times to see if anyone else uses it and has asked about it. I checked where it is in the JellyB updates and it isn't there. It isn't where it used to be and I wanted to know whether it was included in the rom.
I was using foxhound 0.2 before that had the best application of this function where 3g/wifi would turn off when screen switched off and back on when back on etc.
I wanted to know whether this rom would be having it or does have it etc. Or if anyone knows any other AOKP JB rom with the features of Jelly King and the power saver still included (if it isn't of course in there and I am just being an idiot who can't find it)
Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Bad data on SGS2

Hey guys, I have problem with my 3G, it is very unstable, what should I do? It is not my carrier, my friends with other phones dont have that problem...
The best solution is post in Q & A section..
Unless you do not provide ROM/Kernel/Baseband version no one can help you.
Try flashing another baseband firmware and get the corresponding Radio Interface Layer version for your Kernel.

Updating a ROM

Yesterday like a pleb I installed the 1.99 version of Paranoid Android thinking it was the latest version because it was higher up on the list. Now I have just downloaded Paranoid Android 2.13 the correct version.
Just wondering do I install it like I would a new ROM? Or is there a different way to update ROMS?

flash the Rom just like a normal ROM. I'll advise you to do a clean install.
Quick ref:
- Backup your important data
- boot to CWM recovery
- wipe data /factory reset
- wipe dalvik cache (under advanced)
- format /system (under mount and storage)
- flash ROM
- Flash Gapps
- fix permissions (under Advanced)
- reboot phone
Done
Ps: if you have questions on ParanoidAndroid, this is the best place to post it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881156

Some ROMs provide an OTA update. If your ROM does, install the new ROM via the OTA update. Nice and easy. If it doesn't then you have to update it the way you install a new ROM. Although a full wipe is not essential in this case, its always preferable
EDIT:Jokesy, you always get in before me. XS But it seems like you're a Chelsea FC fan so its all good

Just flash as a new ROM.

[Q] Installing BLN on Galaxy SII (CM10)

I have searched everywhere and didn't find anything related to my phone.
So I have a Galaxy SII (GT-I9100) running CyanogenMod 10 and I want to install BLN. I found Siyah Kernel on the net and it supports BLN.
Now my questions are:
1: Will flashing Siyah Kernel wipe my files? I can't afford that right now.
1b: What will happen with my CM10 rom? I read about dual boot, but I am really stuck, I wish to have one ROM and not two.
2: Can I use the latest Siyah Kernel for this? At gokhanmoral website.
3: What will change? I am running CM10 (see picture attached).
4: Is battery life really improving?
5: Is there any change I brick my phone losing all data?
Thanks in advance,
Nerminzz.

2) Yes you can
3) Your kernel will change
4)No comments
5) You wont brick your phone if you follow the instructions
