Ok here it is:

(Or you could just use the free version)
I found my stuff under /emmc but if it's not there be sure to check under /internal_sdcard and /sdcard

It looks like we're on different roms. You're on juice 1.x correct? In any case, I wasn't able to access the / directory.

That's BS man, I've been on AOSP roms for a while and I haven't had a single problem with it on either my Nexus 7 or Rezound across multiple roms. You're doing something wrong.
You may need to format the sdcard/partition that you're having problems with. I had a problem with TWRP not seeing my external sdcard and it turns out that it was actually a problem with it not being formatted correctly.

It would not let me back up to the / directory. It says /sdcard, I hit the back button and it says "press again to exit. " Any advice? BTW my sdcard is formated fine; it is recognized by both TWRP and root browser. Es file explorer just wouldn't let me access the / directory. What am I doing wrong?

you can't backup to / as that is the root (top level) directory that contains all the system stuff. You can only backup to /emmc (your internal memory) or /sdcard (your external sdcard). Apparently the newest build of TWRP is flaky with how the partitions are formatted. Also to access / in ES File Explorer you have to go into settings and then root settings and then enable the first three options.

cwm fails NAND

Hi
I am rooted and CWM always aborts when doing a NAND backup because it can't find android secure !
I know it should skip it but it does not.
Anyone know what I should do to fix this in cwm ?
Should I flash a different version of CWM ? If so can anyone recommend one that will work ?

Kind of running into a similar issue. When I try to do a back up in CWM, I'm getting that it can't mount backup path (but doesn't say what that path is, and I can't seem to mount sdcard in 'Mounts and Storage'). I'm going to assume this is like the SII where I need an actual ext SD card to run backups to? Can someone confirm? At work with no ext SD card.

The latest version of CWM-Recovery should work well, on both internal and external storage. I've tested it on numerous occasions. I have the Rogers I747M, which is effectively identical to the AT&T unit.
Use this link for the correct/latest version of CWM:

If you don't have an external sdcard, then you need to choose "backup to internal sdcard".

Memory question and others

Hi, yesterday I bought the Galaxy Player 3.6 8GB. Now when I look at my available memory it's far from 8GB, so I have 4.73GB internal memory and Internal device storage I have 1.86GB. Already rooted so have delete some of the stock apps but every app I removed just gave me more internal device storage and I would rather have it as internal memory storage of course, Is there any way to do this?
My other question is that there is a lot of apps installed that are actually phone apps (dialer, etc) would this give problems if I remove these seeing as I will never use it to make phone calls.
Thanks in advance

There is a 2GB /data partition (where apps are) and a 5GB /sdcard partition (where your files are). You cannot combine them.

I already know that, but on other device, you can get your sd card reconize as internal storage with script or modification.
So you get a bigger storage, that what we need

Stock apps are on /system. Apps from the market go in /data, unless you move them to the external SD, and then they will go there.

Assuming you are on CM10:
If you're looking in .android_secure, that is the app itself, and that bug is fixed with the latest kernel (uploading now).
Otherwise, you are looking at game data. To move that to external, uncomment the "switchablepair" line in build.prop and reboot. Note that any data in /storage/sdcard0/Android/data (mostly app cache) will not be moved, so you need to either copy it over before rebooting, or let it redownload.
For non-cm10 roms, all of the above applies except the bug and the exact line in build.prop. For example, some ROMs always have it uncommented, but have a line saying "ro.vold.switchexternal=0". In that case, change it to 1 to switch them.

am not sure what is CM10. If you are referring to the screen which comes up when we start the player using Power-up+volume+home button, then there I see this CMW-based Recovery V5.0.2.7. I'm posting on your ROM thread because I've some confusion on how to install your rom

for build.prop, i'm using this guide on how to access it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...ds-cse&usg=AFQjCNEe0O89F81Y5NpJ5mXVf7b4DRDO-g).
playing with this file seems a little dangerous. I'm using the following kernel and ROM.
[Kernel][JB][YP-G70] Mercurius v2
[ROM][YP-G70][JB]PARANOID ANDROID v2.57
I see the following in the build.prob. Is that ok, or do I've to change something?
Code:
You can tweak the next 4 properties
# Uncomment to switch internal and external storage
@ ro.vold.swtichablepair=/storage/sdcard0,/storage/sdcard1

what should we do? same problem here! i can't hear songs or see pictures who are not in folder 0! how the **** whe change sdcard0 to sdcard? its driving me crazy!!
Android 4.2.x uses a different partitioning of some sort because of the Multiuser feature. All of your previous internal sd card data is in /data/media
Use a File Explorer with Root permissions to access this directory.

[Q] Move to SD option in App Manager

I have a D618 (4GB internal), and I noticed that there is a "Move to SD" option in the app manager, I tried it, but the app data is still in the internal memory.
And I heard that Kitkat devices have write issues with the SD card, and there is an app for fixing that, but I haven't tried it since my phone is not yet rooted.
Anyone here who has a rooted phone want to try?
Thanks
Move to SD only moves part of the apk file not app data.
It's not affected by the kitkat write issue.
My idea
Use GL to SD. For this you MUST HAVE ROOT. I root my G2 Mini just for it.

Once my phone gets back from service, I will try to make a script which will mount /data/app/ and /data/dalvik-cache/ to a second partition on the SD.
