About the ROM: (Must Read before you start using the ROM)
I have a lot to work on, so please be patient. I seriously don't want to upload unfinished work.
So the new concept that i have implemented in my ROM
We will have a Base ROM that will have all the Stuff in it that includes all my hacks i.e a all in one package which will be normally themed/with little bit of eye candy.
Then we will have themes that will be specifically based on my ROM so that you guys will get the best out of the ROM.
Also you as the user will have the freedom to choose what type of theme you require.
I have more plans in the future and i will keep all of you posted on that.
Check ROM is all about releasing reliable and stable work.
So when your checked in your guaranteed a great experience!
I have made this ROM to be Rock Stable and Rocket Fast also Saves a lot of Battery.

- DK = Dark Knight (just a name for the Edition)
- CWM = ClockworkMod Recovery (mostly used to install new ROMs)
- SGS2 / GS2 = Samsung Galaxy SII
- lagfix = makes your Galaxy S fly!
- Firmware = Base System of our Galaxy S II (provided by Samsung)
- Circle Battery Mod = shows your battery in 1% steps
- FC = Force Close (Crash of an App / Component)

Odex:
Every android application comes with the extention '.apk'. Packaged with every apk is a .odex file which contains parts of the application which helps speed up the boot process and preloads it.
an odex file is an optimized version of a classes.dex file that has optimizations that are device specific. In particular, an odex file has dependencies on every "BOOTCLASSPATH" file that is loaded when it is generated. The odex file is only valid when used with these exact BOOTCLASSPATH files. dalvik enforces this by storing a checksum of each file that the odex file is dependent on, and ensuring that the checksum for each file matches when the odex file is loaded.

Deodex:
Deodexing is a way of repackaging the apk such that it is reassembled into the classes.dex file. Everything is put together in one place, and this is helpful because it eliminates any chances of a modified apk conflicting with other odexed parts.
to deodex a file using baksmali, it has to load every BOOTCLASSPATH file that the odex depends on. By default, baksmali will try to find the 5 "core" BOOTCLASSPATH files in the current directory. It can use either a jar/apk (with a classes.dex inside), or an odex file

So to sum up everything, a .dex file contains the cache used by Dalvik VM during boot and this .dex file is located inside the application. On the other hand, .odex file is an optimized version of the same .dex file but it is located outside the application.
What do I lose/gain using odex/deodexed ROM?
The upper hand deodexed rom has over odexed is integration. Every ROM maker loves deodexing the rom because of two main reasons:
Modification of apk becomes easier
ROM is open to theme modifications
So, as an end used, you would most likely want to have a deodexed version of a ROM to take full advantage of android freedom. However, note that you won't lose out on performance in an odexed ROM.
Q)Which Theme to flash or will this theme work
A: Any theme that is built for XXKH3 Deodexed is flashable with the ROM.
But the only Downfall to this is that you will end up loosing a few features like Jkay Themes app!!
Now the Themes that dev the Themes at Checkrom.com or our official themes dev's who make themes for us make there respective themes over CheckROM so when u flash there themes you don't lose any features
Q: How this ROM is different from others ?
A: This ROM is heavily modded with a custom theme, features, apps etc and also has my personal tweaks and improvements.
Q: I'm coming from a different ROM so which version should i choose wipe or non-wipe ?
A: Choose the Wipe Version.
Q: What is the difference between wipe and non-wipe version ?
A: Wipe version will delete all your apps and settings whereas non-wipe version will not delete your app or settings.
Q: I'm getting bootloops what should i do now ?
A: Follow the steps below:

Q: I want to make sure nothing of my previous ROM interferes with my new ROM what should i do
A: Completely wipe your internal SD Card or delete any Android related stuff from it and disable any lagfix. Then do a full wipe from ClockworkMod recovery then install the wipe version of my ROM.
Q: After Installing your ROM I'm getting bootloops/boot issues?
A: Do the following steps:
Take out the battery
Put the battery back in
Get into Recovery
Wipe Everything
Flash my ROM
Done!

How to install (v9)
Ensure that you have stock (I8160XXMG2) Jelly Bean installed & Temporary CWM6 on your external sdcard (requirements). If you don't have them already:

Copy KYRILLOSv9.JB.XXMG2 to your sdcard.
Press Vol up + Home + Power button to enter Recovery.
Part 1: Stock Recovery:
- Wipe data/factory reset - Yes [Optional but recommended]
- Apply Update from external storage
- Then select the CWM6 recovery that you downloaded before.
Part 2: CWM6 Recovery
- CWM6 Recovery will show up!
- Select install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, navigate and choose Kyrillosv9.JB.XXMG2.zip - yes.
- [I8160P only]If your model is I8160P, then flash this after the rom installation is completed.
- Select reboot system now - no

How to install (v5)
(Skip this step if you are outside of europe) Ensure that you have I8160XXLL2 installed + custom kernel (requirements). If you don't have them already installed:
-Follow this guide to flash stock firmware
-Then go again in download mode and flash the kernel this time. [WARNING!! THE COUNTER WILL GO TO 1 AND YOU WILL LOSE WARRANTY!!]. When the phone boot up again, shut it down.
Copy KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2 to your sdcard.
Press Vol up + Home + Power button to enter Custom Recovery.
With the volume button navigate to wipe data/factory reset and press the home button to do it (Warning! You will lose all your data).
Then go to install zip from sdcard => choose zip from sdcard and select KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2. Wait for about 2 minutes for the process to be completed and reboot your phone.

why people make all this custom roms with UI or sound from ICS or JB, if this GB, just leave original sounds and look, or make some new UI and sound by yourself, or just download some different stuff... All this looks like fake for me, fake JB... but anyways, + for AOSP Gingerbread look)

I've been testing your ROM and everything works fine until now, GPS, WIFI, Music player etc. I'll continue testing.
I have some suggestions.
1 The battery % is completely impossible to read, it's way to small, I've seen battery mods with larger %.
2 The font is a little small I think original font is much easier to read.
3 Could we have screen off CRT animation?

Found a problem speruser aplication not working...
When I try to open titaniumbackup or run "su" in terminal both aplications hang... asking for root rigths...
I tried to wide data, clear cache ,clear dalvik cache, and reflashing the ROM and still get the hangs when trying to get root.

This rom has a feel of stock GingerBread. The JB ui sounds are better than the stock samsung ones. I couldn't find the AOSP Gingerbread sounds

1. Its the only STOCK GB battery with % percent.
2. Yeah maybe. I will upload the stock font too for the people that want it.
3. I had it enabled until today, but i disabled it because there were some antifacts. Samsung problems..

I will attach a newer version of the mod, but keep in mind that it doesnt work right. It needs coding to modify some of the samsungs code in libsurfaceflinger that i dont have.

So far all the app devs confirmed their rich notifications do work on 4.1.2 so it's definitely a ROM bug. Can't expand with one finger... or 2. Only gmail rich notifications are working.

But I'm still not 100% sure that I understood your problem.
I noticed that the default application doesn't stick but for tapatalk only . I installed three different SMS apps and they stick as I want , the browser as well , popup is default and you can tell us about the others apps.

I don't care about Tapatalk not sticking, not a deal breaker but rich notifications are a big problem.
If you have running foreground apps or apps with persistent icon you will notice that they appear in your drop down menu. With 4.1.1 they implemented "expansion" of those notifications, if the app supports it. In 4.1.1 it was done with a 2 finger swipe gesture, swiping the notification downwards was expanding it. Gmail app is an example.
With 4.1.2 they changed that behavior to single finger gesture, both for expansion and collapsing. This doesn't work on Codec 9.1 Also it's not working with 2 fingers. So basically I can't expand my notifications. This kind of a deal breaker since I use Lux with its rich notifications to adjust the screen brightness, dropping below normal 0 level. I checked stocks by expanding notification, so on and so forth.
I will take a screen shot from my tab, which runs 4.1.1 so you will have a clear idea.

On a previous rom there was an option to change the dpi settings - I like it on 241.
There was no option in this rom.
So I pulled the build.prop file for /system and changed the SECOND of the 2 density settings to 241, I pushed the file back and rebooted. My phone just couldn't get bast the boot animation. I could only go to recovery, so I did, wiped and flashed again.
I then tried to change the dpi using the toolkit (from XDA), it said it was successful and asked to reboot - I did. Same problem again, can't get passed the bootanimation. Went to recovery, wiped and flashed.
Any idea how I can change the dpi?

Did you have a look to the permissions of the built.prop?rw-r--r--
I did it with the Codec 8.6...i just opened the built prop with text editor,changed the density,safed the changes and reboot.
Thats how i did it.Maybe this is a way to to it for you too

down below there are some pics showing you that DPI has been changed and how to .
i was using solid explorer to navigate to build.prop and toolbox for editing it.
first make a backup of your original build.prop somwhere .
open solid explorer and navigate to it root/system/build.prop . you must grant full acces to both apps when superSU requires.
open bulid.prop file and from the apps`s list offered to do it , choose build properties which is integrated on rom toolbox app , you don`t need to open rom toolbox (some others might work as well , haven`t tried it though)
then scroll down until you find ro.sf.lcd_density (in my pic has been already changed)
choose your desired default value for it , save and reboot .
that`s it ! the pics will help you
reverting to original 320 DPI , same way , same without problems

i`m not sure if it works but what about to push the original file into root/system/framework fix permission -rw-r-r- recte 644 , reboot
make a back up first of the one you`ve got

Actually I'm writing it pretty correct, its called rich notifications.
I'm talking about this part of the code from Android; platform_framework_base/blob/master/core/java/android/app/Notification.java
In this code if you take a look at line 1395 & 1647 Android Code you will see that I'm not mistaken. Its often referred as "multimedia rich notification" as it handles some functions of apps like Lux does, or my IMKB stock app does. Also Android 4.1.2 change log shows that they changed it to 1 finger gesture from 2. AOSP Change Log - Line 256 - 257
Please take it to DSA and see if he has any clue. If he says he didn't mess around with the code than its probably a Samsung version bug for which I will file a report. But before doing that I would like to have DSA's opinion. Don't wanna report a bug which only happens to me (?)

Guys I have spent lots of hours making these mods. Please do not use / share my files in any other ROM without my permission. I hope every developer can understand.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR CUSTOM ROM USERS- Flash Latest TWRP recovery 2.8.7.0 (Recommended as External SD card is also accessible (Useful for Backing up ROM))
- Go to recovery (Turn OFF phone, Keep Pressing Vol. UP + Home Button + Power Button untill you see TWRP Boot Screen)
- Backup your current ROM to External / Internal SD card
- Back EFS also just in case you loose your IMEI & phone signals (Plenty of softwares available)
- Wipe Data / Cache / Format System (fresh install required as it is a new base)
- Flash ROM from where ever you copied
- Flash Addon Aroma if you want to use some stock features (like Samsung cloud which only works before first reboot)
- Reboot to Download mode from power / reboot options
- Flash given Bootloader & Modem files together from PC ODIN (You may ignore this step if already on same base stock or custom ROM)
- Thats it !!! Your device is screwed Kidding
- Your device will automatically reboot wait for atleast 5 minutes to boot as it is a deodexed ROM
- Enjoy & Cheers !!!
FOR STOCK ROM USERS- Turn OFF your Phone
- Keep pressing Vol. Down Button + Home Button + Power Botton untill you see Download Mode
- Once in Download Mode press Vol. Up button to go to ODIN Flash Mode
- Flash CF-Auto Root (The safest & stable method to root your phone)
- After your phone turns ON, turn it OFF again & Go to Download Mode again

ROM work's flawless. I did change kernel to stock. Added Xposed.

Awesome thanks for supporting our dear g900h. I have noticed a few bugs tho.
1. Random reboots during calls, especially during internet calls.
2. 720p v60 and 1080p v60 lag or or no video output in youtube as well as in browser.
3. Always getting "starting apps" every boot.
4. Device overheats after 30 hour of screen time.
Things i have done. I have done a clean install TWICE. I have wipe dalvik and cache, and I haven't moved of messed with any system apps. I believe the reboots and lag is due to the kernel, but is there a way to get rid of the "starting apps" its makes booting up take longer.

Hi. I downloaded stock kernel from Mehdimadi . He has numerous versions, but I found stock kernel is Best. Check out Kian kernel for options.
BTW, I have not had any problems. I added Xposed as well as ran through UBWer ROM cleaner, installed Dolby etc.
