[Q] How much does a used, good condition Rezound go for? - HTC Rezound

I'm still on the HTC Thunderbolt, but I'm trying to get a used better one then that. The Rezound looks like it's got a pretty good community. How much does a good condition Rezound go for? Or should I just try to get a Samsung Galaxy Nexus instead?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

About $200. I've got mine for $175 in mint condition from craiglist one month ago.

Swappa is showing the 150 to 250 range.

Locally, they've been going for $100 here in Indy.

What about a rezound with a few cracks at the bottom? Running the leaked ics version...Not sure what to ask.
Btw Is there another place besides craigslist and eBay to sell the rezound?

So, fair condition and non-stock ROM? I would start at $160 but be willing to drop some... assuming everything else is in good condition.

If list it on eBay too... You can probably get more for it there

It's actually stock, I installed the leaked ics stock version at the time. However whenever the phone boots up, it takes a minute to get start up being it goes through like twenty scans. Idk if that makes sense but I'm not sure what it's doing. I wonder if I do a factory reset if it'll erase the leaked ics and then download they official one. Hmm. I'll check out that site thanks!

Yeah, with the cracks I would say about $120-$150 is fair, at least in my market. New-ish used Rezound's in box are going for $200-$250 on Craigslist.

I just picked up another one off Craigslist for $160. Stock (on ICS update) non-rooted, S-on, with a few dings in the trim around the screen (but glass is nice). Included iBeats, stock and extended batteries with covers, home and car chargers, and car dock.

It's sad to see these phones going for so cheap. Id feel ripped off if I sold mine for less than $200

You can get $200 and it looks better if you tell people you're willing to meet them at a Verizon store to activate it. The whole bad ESN is a concern and some people wait weeks before they report it lost/stolen.

Can't you post the ESN on the phone and they can call and check?

[Q] What's the best way to sell my old phone (Evo4G) to pay for my Evo3D?

I'm sure many of you have done this to subsidize the cost of our snazzy new beast.
I have the original box (that awful, terrible egg carton thing) and owner's manual. The device itself is a refurb I got from insurance, since my original Evo4G was stolen.
My biggest question is: since it is rooted, is it best to offer it that way? I guess my question is whether there's any market value to it being already rooted and thus getting more from an eBay auction (unless theres a better alternative to eBay that anyone knows). Or maybe advertise the option of: I can send it to you rooted or if you don't want it that way, I can unroot it for you.
If someone wants it rooted, basically I just need to do a full wipe and flash a rooted stock ROM. If they want it unrooted, I believe I need to unroot first, flash a stock ROM, then turn S-ON (might have that in the wrong order).
I hope this is an appropriate thread for this forum (instead of the Evo4G one) as it would be helpful to other people looking for a way to obtain the Evo3D.
My suggestion to you is Craigslist. Sold my hero a month ago for 100 bucks

I tried to sell mine on Craigslist for 200 but had no offers. Sprint, unsolicited, sent me an offer for 150. They don't want the memory card or charger either.

I sold mine on Ebay for 270 each
Hello,
I sold my 4G for 300 Dollars on Craigslist. I did happen to get a Replacement the week before I listed it. While my original 4G was Rooted, I held off Rooting this one, but did not do the GB Update so that the Buyer would have the option of Rooting or not doing so.
My Upgrade was not supposed to be until September, but I pleaded with Retention and they reset my eligibility. This happened the day after my Refurbished 4G arrived.
I threw in 2 Otterbox Defender Cases, an HTC HDMI Dock, and pointed out the 4G was a 004 Version and was only a week old. I actually received multiple offers and ended up selling to a guy who lives on the same Barrier Island that I do.
I would think it would be best if you could get it back to S-ON and not disclose that it has been Rooted unless someone asks. You could even offer to Root and customize the 4G for the prospective Buyer. It really helped for me as the guy who purchased mine wanted me to Root it, but when he went to Sprint to Activate it he walked out with 2 3VO's instead. I am now trying to help him sell the 4G. I have gotten a few offers around 250, but he wants 300 and I have not exactly killed myself trying to sell it.
Also, I think that sometimes the 4G's Sprint sends out as Recertified are actually new Phones. The one I got sure seemed that way and again was 004.
It helped greatly I sold mine before the 3D's Release. The marketplace has changed since then. There is another Website that offers more than 150 if the 4G is in pristine condition as well. The name eludes me.
Cheers,
JJ
Sprint gives you $150.

I sold my 4G on craigslist for $200 about 90 minutes after I had it posted.
Well, it's VERY EASY.
Sprint will pay $150.00 for your evo 4G in account or store credit. You can either take your EVO 4G to a sprint store, or do it online and ship it to them:
http://www.sprintbuyback.com/
Just did it today at the store and paid only $49.99 for my new 3D!
If it is in good enough shape, I would sell it on eBay... considering I sold a refurbished one with a deadspot on the screen for $200 cash (Fully informed description I might add) You could likely get $250-300 for one in real good condition.
Good luck!!!
Craigslist is probably your best bet if you feel safe using it. Followed by ebay... You could also sell it on these forums which is the choice I took mostly because I wanted my phone to go to someone in the community.

RadioShack gave me $167 on trade for the 3VO. I also traded in my Hero for $50 so had a store credit. I had the boxes and the chargers for both.
I posted my 4G on swappa.com for $250 and it was sold within 2 days. The cool thing is that doesn't matter if you're rooted, people there seem to prefer it. Also if someone is interested, they have the option to buy your phone right away via paypal.

We sold ours on Craigslist for $225 each. $0 for the upgrade. Been doing this for YEARS. Depending on how rapidly you are upgrading you can sell them and profit from the sale.

From what I hear, yes. If I remember right, its specifically for selling/trading android phones.
Sold mine for 230 on craigslist. Might have gotten more on ebay, but it'd barely be with it after dealing with the fees and the scammers.
Sold my Verizon iPhone on craigs. Had 10 offers by morning. Sprint would have bought for $220. So there's always a fallback if you want quick cash. Assume EVO 4g should have similar results.

Everything works absolutely perfect and was wondering what I should price this at if i put it on eBay???

Half that at least. Nobody is going to pay that for all that when they can get the phone brand new and still buy spare batteries for $250, give or take. No offense, but what is a normal person going to do with 5 batteries, 3 of which make a thick phone into a complete brick.
Here's who you're likely selling to....
The guy who just killed his Tbolt, and the guy who wants to get one for the first time. The guy who just killed his, if he has a brain, will just get the insurance replacement for $100. They guy who's never had one will walk in and pick up a new phone for $200 and wait to see how crappy the battery REALLY is before forking out for a bigger battery. I think you'd be doing pretty good to tempt the guy wanting a new one at the bargain basement price of $175 obo.
Just my opinion....

First of all, the 1600's don't make the phone bigger. At all. They are the exact same size as the stock batteries.
Second of all, the 2750 does not make the phone a brick at all. Ask anyone who has it.
Third, the amount of batteries is for people who travel. Like myself.
Lastly, there are currently people on Craigslist and eBay who are selling JUST THE PHONE for 300, I have an add for all that for 350.
delivered via Zeus' finger
Yeah I would think you could get at least $250-$300 and maybe a bit more. If someone is wanting to buy off contract they are going to be looking at close to a $600 price tag if they went through VZW. So I don't think something around $300 is too high for a like new phone.

Personall, don't sell it in a bundle, sell the phone with maybe the 2 amazon batteries, than everything else separate. Bu that's just me!
Sent by a rooted Thunderbolt.
Ya, if I were you I would part it all out (just like people chop up cars), because you can get more for each part then selling it as a bundle.
Since the cost of new one has been coming down, you may be able to get more by selling everything separately. I'm sure there are people out there who may want to get a good deal on a battery or two and not get the phone and vice versa.
Anyways good luck.
well, i just sold an HD2 for $250 on tuesday...
which i believe is probably what i bought it for on craigslist 2 years ago,
i'd say you could do at least $300 w/ all that stuff included considering that it's still Verizon's best phone and no contract required
Does anyone think i could sell all things separately on ebay and actually sell them ALL
delivered via Zeus' finger
I bought my TB off Ebay brand new for $250... I don't see why you could not get that or more for the bundle. Just check the current listings and see what the average TB is going for and place yours in that price range.
The right buyer will pay whatever you want but the hard part is finding the buyer.

AT&T replacement phones! Yes or no!

AT&T warranty replacement phones. Good or bad? I paid full price for my galaxy note. Had it for a month and a half. Still having problems connecting to internet on 4 g it freezes up. Now ATT wants to send me a replacement phone. I told them I do not want a refurbished phone through Assurion. This is not an insurance claim. It's a defective phone. What are the odds of my replacement phone actuay working good or bad? I paid full price for my note though getting a replacement. I am pissed off they will not give me a new phone. Anybody have experience with att replacement phones? They said the phone will not cone from assurion insurance. I'll believe it when I get the box.

I had similar issues with my Skyrocket. Went through 2 in a matter of 2 weeks and it was the update that was being pushed. Refused to take a referb phone because it was not my issue. Not the same as your situation, but still same philosophy. This phone is bad out of the box, and they need to replace it with a new item. This isn't your problem that it's defective, and why take someone else's defective garbage? Just keep talking (calmly) to support and get the local/regional managers involved if necessary. Sometimes, local/regional managers are more accepting and accommodating than corporate phone-jockeys. After the second skyrocket, I was offered any phone (except iPhone) and took the note. Also told NOT to send back skyrocket. So I have 2 great phones that once ICS is done for the skyrocket, it'll be a great unit again.
just my $0.02 worth for what it is.

Be careful what you ask for. You might just get "old" new one that's been laying around.
On my warrantied Samsung Infuse...it was refurbished..same as new...and it ran MUCH better than my prior Infuse. And it was PERFECT condition and I assume newer parts?
I've been there and could not even tell the difference. My "refurbished" Infuse was perfect and ran better than my original "NEW".
Nothing to sweat over.

I just got a note replacement yesterday. My old note was a month and a half old and it was having problems charging. I got a refurbished one and it seems to run a lot better than my old one. It was in perfect condition and had the "don't text while driving" screen protector and everything. Even came with the stylus. Now I have two styluses.

You also have to remember that refurbished doesn't always mean something was wrong with it. It could be that the person returned the phone because they didn't like it and att can't sell as new anymore.
My sister only buys refurbished to save money, and she has had no issues. I had issues with my brand new note and with my atrix last year. It's just a matter of luck. And asurion is not involved with warranty unless the warranty period is over and you have to file an insurance claim.
Edit: like lildoggs said, they also seem to send a stylus. I kept it and they never charged me anything

When people return their phones within the 30 day period and pay the restocking fee...those phones end up being sold as "refurbished" also. So you might get one that is berely used...or "like" new. My brother did that with his sony xperia and it ended up being pretty much brand new condition one. But it says refurbished. Dont quote me on this but most of the time...AT&T sends out great condition refurbished phones. 9 out of 10 people cant tell a refurb from a new phone

Assurion is a really good company. Returned is not bad, in fact a lot of times it can be better than new.
Is 4g and WiFi connection an issue with the note? Thats one of the reasons I am more than likely returning my hoxl.
Are the notes probed to connectivity issues or is this just a typical defective issue?
Sorry for so many questions. I been playing with the note recently and love it.

Same boat here. I refused to sell it back to Sprint the day I bought the EVOLte and still can't seem to part ways with it. I keep telling myself I need it just in case something "goes wrong." I still use it as an alarm and occasionally to surf the web if the new phone is charging or something.
I had to break mine to get over it.
NO ONE ELSE MUST HAVE IT!
Not serious.
I thought about keeping it as a backup for a few days, but then decided to sell. I figure if I ever break or lose my LTE, a used og evo will be even cheaper down the road. Pretty happy with the $150 I got on craigslist for it.
I am actually still using mine. My contract for it doesn't come up till November. I have been here researching and waiting for info on LTE, so I can decide whether to get the new EVO, or go to another company. The only issue I have with the actual phone is the battery life. If I put this thing on Wimax(cause 3g in my area is no better than dial-up), it drains like crazy. November cannot come soon enough.
I always pass my old tech to friends or coworkers. Just seems the thing to do with it

Ok looking to get insurance...I always had Att but thinking of trying squaretrade...I would do the monthly 6.99 plan do they cost the same...only thing I noticed is squaretrade is 99 deductible vs Att 199...but squaretrade doesn't cover lost or stolen phones...never had to make any claims with either...but curious if one is better then the other...I'm getting spooked on all these unexplained camera lenses cracking on some ones....

I've never used insurance. But after I had my first dropped broken screen on my n4 I decided I'd get insurance. The coverage for lost and stolen phones is what did it for me. And the fact it is on my bill makes it easier to keep up with payment. My .02

Yeah. I had never broken a phone of any kind before in my life. So now that it's happened to me I'm questioning myself...while I don't see a lost phone or stolen because my phone never leaves my side. Anything can happen. I might look st squaretrade again though. Because now that I think about it. I'm not worried about losing my phone

I never used to have any insurance before we had our son , but now that my son is 2 years old i always go for an insurance, since i love to keep my phone naked and squaretrade is my #1 choice .
My son broke my ipad 4 screen within 5 days they got it fixed for no charge ( since ipad insurance had 0 deductible ) . i got squaretrade for the HTC One they are 125$ for 2 years with 99$ deductible way cheaper than AT&T and the best part is if they cant fix the phone for whatever reason they pay you 700$ and you can buy whatever phone is latest at the point and still save some money.
there are 30% squaretrade coupons floating around all the time , in fact i posted 3 coupons yesterday on there check it out
with 30% (30$ max) off it comes down to 95 + tax

hope that helps
Thanks

My experience with squaretrade is not so great. I had insurance on my original moto droid. one day it stopped working so i initiated a claim with squaretrade. they say they will fix it or pay you...by fix it they mean they will send you a refurb. after waiting a week or two, they sent me a moto droid (not mine) that was functional but beat up (mine was not). when i called to complain, they insisted that it was my same phone and they had fixed it. they agreed to exchange it and i got another refurb in slightly better condition.
in the end, i got a working phone, i just wish they were more upfront about sending refurbished items.

You could just check the serial # on that phone and let them know its not the same phone . They can't lie about that

I don't have any case or protector on my HTC one at all, and I just notice it there is a scratch on the camera lens. Not sure if it affect the image quality, but the camera lens seem so fragile on the One, so it may be a good idea after all.
i cancelled my AT&T insurance and went with ensquared. its $99.99 upfront for 2 years of coverage and a $75 deductible. it covers pretty much everything:
General Product Coverage Components
Accidental Damage Yes
Liquid Spill Yes
Power Surge Yes
Theft Yes
Lost Device Yes
Flood Yes
Vandalism Yes
Fire Yes
Misuse and Abuse No
Loss of Data No
Extended Warranty Coverage Yes
Standard Battery Yes
Home Charger Yes

That's how it is with every insurance claim even the one AT&T uses. Sometimes you get a refurbished item sometimes you get a new one its all luck of the draw.
I personally decided to go with SquareTrade because for $95 for 2 years I thought it was a good deal and the deductible is only $100. Also SquareTrade is fully transferable and that will increase my resale value if I ever decide to sell the phone.

Yes I'm back...lol...not cause I hated the s4...was a very nice phone...just too much like my s3 so I wanted something different...plus developers fixed a lot of the gripes I had originally with the one (like for instance making the logo into the menu button) plus just couldn't beat the front facing speakers on this phone
