Keyboard case options - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Accessories

I have looked on Ebay a bit, and looking for a keyboard/case for the 7.7... it sounds funny, but all of the leather ones that I see have the closure strap sticking out at the keyboard side, which certainly seems like it would be in the way for typing. Has anyone else seen a case that is put together differently?

Looking for vertical leather slipcase

I know the topic on cases has been brought up before, and after reading most of the posts none of them offer comments or suggestions on the type of case that I am looking for. I am looking for a vertical leather slipcase that does not have a flap over the top and the clip is fixed to the case but can rotate. If this type of case is not available, is there something close to it. Maybe one that has a flap with some type of magnetic closure.
Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions in advance.

I'm also looking for a vertical case, but have not found one that meets my requirements.
For now, I am using the Krusell case from my old Sony Ericsson P900, which is very close to what is needed and offers good protection.
The great thing about this case is that it has a clear window on the front, so you can see the display and use the phone without having to unclip or flip anything. It also gives access to most of the important buttons (I don't use the camera or voice buttons), the connectors at the bottom and the holes for the speaker are in the right place. The downside is that it is a bit too tall.
Sadly, the Krusell cases for the Wizard are either PDA style or do not give enough protection (I'm clumsy).
All the cases that I have seen so far are PDA style and not phone style.
I really do not want to have to unclip or flip any flappy bits simply to answer the phone.

Not sure if this is what you're describing but you might want to check www.seidioonline.com They have a "swivel clip holster" for the Cingular 8125.
Although this model is a Wizard (as far as I know) I'm not sure how closely the external surface contours match the other wizard models. This might be an issue with a holster such as this.
Hope this helps
i'm using one for the blackberry 7100,
fits your requirements.....

another g1 owner looking for another g1 case - but with a twist

so after finding out there is not an otterbox case for the g1 (booooo!) I have started to think that it would be great to find another styled case that is snug fit for the g1. That got me to realizing the lack of snugness in most g1 cases is from the keyboard and having to flip out the screen. I got my g1 off of ebay and it came with one of those little thin plastic cases and a little plastic case i slip the g1 into. Also the keyboard flipping out is the only flimsy part of the phone and I like my phones to have a solid build. THus...
does anyone use any cases have a very snug fit (like otterbox) but that does not allow the keyboard to flip out. I have begun to like the on screen keyboard especially after using it in landscape mode. Perhaps I can go without hte keyboard and then when needed, take off the case and be like 'ha! take that trendy iPhone user!!'..
so any cases that will enclose the g1 leaving the trackpad and buttons and screen exposed???? I guess the cases do not have to be made for the g1 but should be tested and fit snugly (did i mention i like a snug fit?)
cheers

Modify your own case....that's the only option. The G1 has a terrible design, Ill admit it. The cases that were released for this device were awful....believe me I owned six of them and guess what I use now...No case...just the stock pouch that I thought was "Dorky" when I got it.
I keep it in the pouch so that way the phone doesn't get messed up in my pocket...and when I want to use the phone I pull it out of the pouch and wala.
Not to mention that I really like the feel of the G1 with no case on it in my hand.
For the record though, the best case I ever owned was the Body Glove. Problem is that it starts to fall apart after awhile (like most things).
It fits very snug though, and I know thats a priority for you.
I use a silicone case which fits around the back and the chin. For the screen, I just use one of the plastic pieces from one of the harder cases. Seems to work without adding too much bulk.
do you guys have links to your cases??
still looking for a rocking otterbox style case for my g1..
is there any phone that has the same or close dimensions that an otterbox would fit on a g1?????
CaseLogic makes a nice, sturdy, magnetic-closure, horizontal leather belt-style case that fits the G1.

oh sweet! Do you have a link to it? I have searched for a caselogic g1 case but cannot find one..
The pouch for the Nexus One fits very snug around the G1. You could try and con HTC outa one or see what a replacement costs.

Cases That Work With Car Dock

I know questions have been asked. And I realize all have their favorite cases. I am suggesting this thread as a "clearing house" of cases that definitely work with the car dock. If users could post links (and maybe photos) of these cases, I'm sure myself and many others would appreciate it.
I'm about to ramble a bit, sorry if I get a little off topic here and there...
I generally stick with skins, because with my EVO thats all that would work the car dock. With this new dock, the Photon can have a smallish case and still work with the dock if the insert is removed. I like that forward thinking from Moto regarding this, and the design of the dock is way better than the HTC one for the EVO. I also like how the skin will protect from a lot of things but add no bulk.
I just got in a number of skins from Phantom Skinz, and applied one to my Photon today. Overall, I like the product. It does make it a tad hard to get out of the dock with the insert in, because the skin material has a slight give to it (a soft plastic vs rigid). I wish that they included a little spray bottle, like ones I got from Body Guardz. They say to get a cup of warm water, add a touch of soap to it and dunk the skins into it. its hard to get just right, i ended up having a bit too much soap i think and theres some bubbles underneath that I dont think will go away. The fit of these skins is great. I've used some that are just a hair too big, and they end up snagging on things because they overhang. the corners where the skin wraps around the unit did have to be tweaked a bit: i had to ttrim a little off and make wider v cuts to make sure it didnt bunch up. There is a skin section for every side of the Photon, including the camera section. it doesnt cover the lens, and the fact that they had a piece for it impressed me. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the skin style protectors, but only if you're quite patient.

This thread is a good idea. I can tell you that the case and holster that is sold by sprint does not fit, but only slightly contacts the material around the connector. I may trim it to see if I can get it to fit easily.
I can confirm that the OtterBox Commuter does not work. Also, even the little cheapo hard shell snap together cases do not work.
Incipio Feather Hard Case for Motorola Photon 4G
Hi all,
I recently purchased an Incipio Feather Slim hard case for my Photon 4G and so far it does seem to work with the car dock, though I had to add a little foamy tape on the right side of the dock so the phone would sit straight when it is in the dock, incidentally I am not using the insert that came with the dock, the website is myincipio dot com.
Problem is, I cannot find a classy leather horizontal case that will accommodate the phone with the Feather case on; everything I have been able to find so far looks cheap and flimsy not to mention too small. I guess one real advantage to sticking with an iPhone is that the after market accessory options available are so vast that if one just keeps looking for what they want they will most likely find it. Anyway, my 2 cents.
TPU cases don't work
I picked up a "TPU" case via eBay (pic attached). It's similar to the silicone skins except the material is a little stiffer and has a glossy finish (which I prefer).
Without the insert, the phone does fit physically in the dock, but the contact with the dock connector is poor. I may need to do what h8zgray wrote and that is to put some kind of pad on the right side of the dock to help hold up the phone. I think I have some left over weatherstripping I could use...
For the time being, I'm using an Arkon Mega Grip mount in my car.
I found it ironic that the dock doesn't work with some of the "official" Sprint cases, like the gray plastic two-piece case.
I hope someone can find a good case that will fit.
Update: Another member posted a comment in another thread that enlarging the notch surrounding the USB/microHDMI port could help make cases fit the car dock. There's a raised area in the dock surrounding the USB connector. I took a second TPU case and enlarged the opening for the USB/microHDMI ports and that made the case work in the dock. The connection is a little loose but I think adding a thin strip of padding to the right side of the dock might help keep the phone and case stable. So the stock TPU case won't work without this modification.

Moko case won't close with dock.

Got the dock and a new case today. Not really liking the case with the keyboard on. For one thing the keyboard/tablet doesn't close well now as you have the leather frame around the screen. Seems like the extra thickness will cause things to loosen up after time.
Also the case has magnets to hold it closed but it won't even close with the keyboard and tablet inside it. The flap just sits there. I have adjusted the tablet as best I can to make sure its in properly. Not very thrilled with this case so far. And honestly a little concerned about loosening the hinge over time.
Heres the one I got.

Anyone got an opinion. I understand not many may have this case.
But does anyone else feel uncomfortable closing the transformer with a case in between the keyboard and tablet.
Same thing for this moko case

Sorry to hear that . I got this case and it closes fine - to include the flap. The problem I have is the top edge of the screen is hard to access when switching tabs, etc...
I'll probably only use the case if I travel.
Screen protectors rock!

Hardshell case

I recently got my TF300T and I'm looking for a hardshell case, as most of the ones I've come across are sleeves, huge rubber cases. I have found some "full" cases but they are made of leather. Any recommended cases? I will more than likely always have the dock on but it should have an easy release method if I need just the tablet.
Have you looked on Ebay or Amazon?
I'm gonna start looking for an actual hard case to carry mine in. I've been sliding it the laptop compartment of my backpack but I'm worried the screen is gonna get cracked. Matter of fact, I'm gonna go look at Ebay and Amazon right now.
If I see anything like what you're looking for I'll post you a link.
maybe something like this?

Greetings!
Something like a less heavy duty version of this: http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Transformer-TF201T-Pad300-TF300T/dp/B008B11FB8/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1388019602&sr=8-16&keywords=tf300t+case?
I have the slim fit folio case and it's not that great
I have a leather case for both the tablet and the dock. It makes it like a little netbook when both are attached. Works quite well for me but then I am the only one to use the tablet and don't let it near any kids. I got it from Amazon. As I am on less than 10 posts I cannot but a link in here
