[Q] Stuck on logo, no errors, need help - Motorola Photon 4G

I searched and couldn't find a situation like this. I have been running Cougar's CM7.2 for six months now with no problems (also have CWM 5.5.0.4). Today, while making a phone call, my phone froze. Here is what I have tried so far...
- Pulled the battery, rebooted, stuck at logo.
- Entered CWM, did a full wipe, tried a restore. The restore process did not complete for over an hour...no error messages. Pulled the battery, tried another restore. Same result.
- Tried to start from scatch. SBFed 198_7. Seemed to load correctly thru RSD Lite except the boot screen still displayed "Unlocked." Rebooted and stuck at logo
- Tried 154_4 - same results. Stuck at boot logo and says "Unlocked"
I have not received a single boot error nor any error with RSD Lite.
Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Doesn't seem like the SBF "took" on all attempts (with multiple factory resets prior to the SBF). Still show "unlocked" with CWM 5.5.0.4 recovery.

Flash the stock again and wait till finish then do factory reset
if the cwm still present that mean the abf file didnt flash at all flashb it again

Got an error when I tried to restore an AOKP (TheBill's Atrix port) ROM that had worked previously. Specifically, the message was "Error while restoring /system!"

The phone completely failed and would not even power on. Took it to the Sprint store and exchanged ($35) for one they had on hand (refurb). My guess is there was either a hardware issue or the system memory became corrupted. Thanks Mions for the help. It's gonna suck being on 2.3.5.

U are welcomed but i hate being locked after u taste what can do in unlocked phone but any way better than nothing

[Q] Keep Getting stuck when Flashing Roms

I have tried to flash Darian's rom and cherry blur v.5 and both have resulted in my atrix getting stuck at the "Dual Core technology" screen with "unlocked" at the top. If I reflash the stock gingerbread rom ive been using it works. Ive flashed with cwm both times. I can fix it by reflashing via fastboot to the gingerbread rom i initially flashed to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163342. Both times I attempted flashing, i tried using a nandroid backup to restore but both times I get an error formatting /system.
I also tried reflashing cwm and got the same results. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Edit: so ive been tinkering...there is something wrong with the /data. I am unable to flash the data.img from the original rom as well as format the data through cwm.
If you got error formatting system the reason is you have a outdated CWM.
Bet you have a older version.
Does your cwm img file say this?
recovery-en-goapk-0630-1029.img
If not u have a old version update it.

i tried to use the RSD lite, but it cant connect to my phone. even when i try to fastboot the file, it says device not found.
You're going to have to use Fastboot since you've wiped /system, you're supposed to do that from CWM then immediately install the custom ROM. Else you don't have a system to boot into. If your computer won't detect your phone, try using another one. Borrow a friend's. Reinstall drivers. Reinstall the SDK.

AOKP. I am stuck in a boot loop.. tried installing other ROMs but keep getting back in the boot loop into recovery.
I need some help ASAP!
Try pulling the battery for 10 minutes then make sure it's fully charged then go into recovery. and flash rom again
you might have to use odin and flash your phone back to stock.
None of my attempts to recover worked.. so i decided to ODIN to stock and back to AOKP. So far so good.. AOKP stock loaded, now i'm going to try and do a backup restore.
One thing i missed though --- i didn't install the atlas file with the stock ROM.. does it matter? what does it do anyway?
The reason you bootlooped was because you 3 fingered to recovery on an ics rom, which is a big no-no. Always boot to recovery via power menu. You should have re-partitioned using the pit file, but if everything works I wouldn't sweat it. If you start to get fc's then you know where you went wrong.

You're right.. that i did. My phone was blank and the power button just wouldn't boot the phone so i resulted to the force-recovery. Everything seems to be working, and i'm going to flash to milestone 6 while i'm at it. Anything i should watch out for other that FC's? i've actually read while doing research that Atlas may actually cause instabilities..

blew it

After weeks of reading and being scared to death of unlocking and flashing, i finally decided to give it a shot this morning. I unlocked with no problems, then flashed MROM-CM7, thats when things went downhill. I followed the instructions to a T, formatted everything, etc, got stuck at the red "M". Tried several times with no luck, tried to restore my Nandroid backup, got the flashing "android" after the red M screen. Now I have apparently screwed something else up because I cant get in to android recovery (CWM?) now. It never did show it as cwm, just android recovery. Atrix MB860 2.3.6, I am afraid it is a brick at this point. Tried to load recovery again to try to fix it, but I cant get recovery.img to flash via fastboot, just gives an error, "Cannot load", wish I had just left it alone this morning. Am I screwed or is there something else I can do/try?
fastboot?
Have you tried flashing a recovery.img file through moto-fastboot?
You need to update your recovery with one from this thread:

Try what paravorheim said but do:
Moto-fastboot erase recovery
Just to make sure you recovery partition is cleared before you flash a new one

I was using fastboot, but in my haste, I realized I was not in the correct directory, hence the error. When things go wrong, it is always best to slow down, not speed up!

If you have a nandroid backup of your stock ROM then try restoring it.
Wipe cache and dalvik-cache and then try to boot
