Adobe Flash Player apk for Galaxy Note 2 (download link directly from Adobe) - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

UPDATE: December 13, 2012, Fixes Major 480p Bug, if you have the latest Android 4.1.2
Adobe Flash Player is not just alive and kicking, it has gotten back up, dusted itself off, and is ready to kick some butt.
The Galaxy Note II is future-proof when it comes to Adobe Flash Player support, although it is not officially supported. The apk installers will be available directly from Adobe, and they will keep being updated.
Step 1: Download the apk file below to your device and install when finished. (No rooting necessary.)
Step 2: Open up any browser, except Chrome.
Step 3: Enjoy.

Works well when streaming video in full screen..I have tested on boat browser, stock browser and firefox browser.
The only annoying thing is on note 2 when streaming, my device goes to sleep after 30 seconds when not touching anything while streaming. This does not happen on my galaxy S2 or note 1(the display remains on)

Interesting. I've never had the flash player do that on me, although I am having issues with youtube flash videos on 480p.
I think a lot of these problems are dependent on sites because they all have their own flash app. Also, are you on the stock rom?

Flash - Full screen video problems

Is it just me ??
I'm sure full screen video in youtube (not the app, by using the browser) used to work. Now when i try to watch a full screen video in any streaming site that uses flash just makes my browser hang.
BBC iplayer
ITV
4OD
5OD
Youtube
They all play the video in the small screen but hang when i expand to full
I've uninstalled flash and rebooted etc etc
P.S. tried using stock browser, Opera mobile, Dolphin HD.
Mine does the same, put it to full screen and nothing but sound, then when I minimise it, it plays the video back to small and just won't let me shut down the browser.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
that's strange as my fullscreen still works fine in all browsers. maybe try clearing all data from those browsers then trying again. I've been using opera nonstop lately since they added back flash support. watched several movies through there on fullscreen by hitting the little fullscreen button on the box.
Mine does the same thing.....it really bugs me.

I'd recommend trying ICS browser+, I have the exact same flash problems on Opera and Boat; however, ICS browser plus handles going to full screen near perfectly.
Same for me, in all browsers I have tried!
When I try full screen I get a white block and I have to force close the browser.

Flash/Streaming Video Problems

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone is having this problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy SII 4G, love this phone. However I have some issues when it comes to flash and streaming video stuff. I can seem to watch youtube videos just fine but trying to go to other sites that have flash or streaming videos, it just doesn't play at all. Also some sites with flash will only show up with a green arrow in the area where there's supposed to be a video. I have downloaded Adobe flash and Flash AIR. Have tried multiple browsers with all having the same problems. Is there a fix to this? Please help.
P.S. I know this isn't the right forum for this but I am also having this problem on my Viewsonic G-Tablet.
Thanks,
Afrowookie
Are you using the stock browser?
Try boat browser. Flash works great with it! You can also try updating flash in the market.

I have the most updated adobe flash. I have used the stock browser, firefox, dolphin and now opera. Opera seems to work the best for me, but like I said youtube videos work, but on other sites the videos don't even load, and the only way to watch some of them is by downloading them first and then viewing afterwards. I will try boat though, thanks for the reply.

[Q] Can't watch any internet videos anymore, why?

I have an HTC Thunderbolt running Liquid Gingerbread v3.0 ROM version liquid.mecha.20111007.150023 with a kernal 2.6.35.14-imoseyon-4.1.2AOSP
My problem is that videos from the internet will no longer play, they used to play. I have tried both the stock browser and Dolphin browser to no avail.
Youtube videos in either browser will play audio but no video, just a black box. In the youtube app, no audio or video will load, just the spinning loading wheel.
In Vimeo I get vertical colored bars in both browsers with audio.
Videos from other sources either won't load or will play only audio with a black video box.
I had this problem a long time ago when I first installed this ROM. There was a Flash video fix I had downloaded from this forum that I can no longer find. Anyone know what I am talking about?
I fear I have installed a Flash video update that has broken video on my phone, that is the only theory I have. Please help, I would like to watch video again.

Yea this version of flash worked for me too when I was running liquid 3.2 gingerbread
Also jesman you should update to liquid 3.2 and imoseyon 6.2.1 kernel if your gonna run liquid
To get Flash 10.3 working on the stock browser you need to do two things:
1) force stop the browser process
2) Remove all permissions for /data/data/com.android.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flash_Player/config.data
*Fix also works for Dolphin. Just change com.android.browser to mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
Changing the permissions restricts the flash plugin or the stock browser or the webkit or I dunno what from reading config.data. This file is screwing with video playback of anything over 240p.
What's weird is that the config.data generated for 10.2 and 10.3 appears to be identical, except for the ProductVer string. Since the file contains settings for h264 high, baseline and main profiles, there's probably some change in 10.3 to the way it uses this information.
Either way, this is a bandaid for those that don't wish to use Opera until the heart of the issue is found/addressed.
I claimed no credit for this post. Read it in a cyanogenmod forum credit goes to OneLikeSeaBass
Sent from hTc Thunderbolt w/ AOKP ICS
Deleting the config.data file also seems to have the same effect. It rebuilds that after you delete so there are no I'll effects.

Ok, wow thanks guys for the feedback. I am going to give these a try later tonight and I will post back the results.
This forum is great!
The solution from heath2805 worked. Deleting the config file only fixed the youtube app. Thanks again!

[Q] How to get vimeo videos to be displayed?

Hallo everybody,
I am not able to display Vimeo video's at my Samsung Galaxy S2(ICS - 4.0.3. - not rooted).
I installed other browsers like Dolphin, Opera, Chrome, but nothing works. The video's are suites for mobile devices.
I stille get the error "This video can't be played with your current setup. Please switch to a browser that providers native H.264 support or install Adobe Flash Player.".
I can't install Adobe Flash Player, because it is't compatible with the S2.
What can I do? Is it possible to play Vimeo video's on the S2?
Johanna
Flash player is compatable with sgs2 if you can't install it from the playstore just google xda android flash

Hi Yanekx,
You also have to enable the mobile option at your video in Vimeo.
Good luck!

What about videos that are hosted on Vimeo but are embeded on another site like tumblr . Those wont work either. I have the latest flash player from the adobe archive, installed the latest Mozilla Firefox browser (said to be able to play H264 encoded videos), Opera (not the mini version) and ... urgh .. Chrome, yet still ... my S II wont run the videos. Tested on a HTC, they work flawlessly. I use Vodafone stock 4.0.4 ROM, non rooted. I did see however that on one Vimeo forum, one of the "staff" guys said that they are currently working on this issue (working that has been going on for apparently a year or so) but still no ETA on when it will be solved.

Watch youtube videos in firefox (I have flash)

Hi, I've got flash installed on my phone and want to watch youtube vids in firefox instead of the app so I can block the ads. So I disabled the app but I just get a blank screen.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Well I tried on dolphin browser, and here it is how it is done:
1. Install dolphin browser from Google play and run it then close it.
2. Install latest android adobe flash player apk (Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.69)) from this page.
3. In your phone, Go to data/data/mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser/shared_prefs/ folder and delete "mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml"
4. Now open dolphin browser again ->settings -> web content -> turn flash player to ALWAYS ON... and wolla.. all flash contents are playable now.
Thanks. But I wanted Firefox. .
*bump*
