Media Junkies - 64 GB Nexus 10 listed on official Samsung website - Nexus 10 General

Who wants a 64 GB Nexus 10?? , but it only comes in 16 or 32 GB I hear you say. Well, spotted on Samsung Korea's official website is a promo picture of a Nexus 10 listed with 64 GB. Would Samsung make such a big mistake?, would you be interested in a 64 GB N10?:highfive:

yes please.
Maybe Google is only going to launch as part of their Data-Capable line later on.
I want as wifi! WAAA

I only need 32Gb top. But I'd be pissed if that 64Gb model later have the same price as the 32Gb.

Why does Google like doing this? Give it a couple of months and we'll have a 32GB Nexus 4, I bet.

I get the feeling with initial product launch Google tries to make it accessible to as many people as possible hence the initial low flash memory and lower price options.

64gb is the one I really want. Games, music, movies, books and photos that 64 would go down to 2 pretty quick.

+1.. it's gone :crying:

Gone for now!, I think Google have been learning that they can create a lot of publicity for a minor product change, by offering a larger storage option, as a mid-cycle upgrade. Look how much attention the Nexus 7 received because of the 32 GB update, it might annoy some people, but as long as it drives sales Google probably won't care.

can we expect it in dec 2012 or end of dec 2012 ?

It would be annoying if Google pulled a Nexus 7 and send out the 64gb version a few months later. That is why I am waiting a bit before picking one up.

It's almost certainly bound to happen, in my opinion. Probably to the Nexus 4 too. Wait a few months for competition to deliver something with similar stats and price, then re-undercut them by upping storage. It is a pretty good strategy, as changing anything else about the device would mess with compatibility. So they leave this category for upgrading.
That said, annoying for consumer sitting here with less storage on their Nexus 7 than they wanted. Maybe they need to take a cue and allow a trade up program if they are going to do this.

Lapdock 100 confirmed on Engadget

It basically looks like the Webtop Lapdock, but with chrome accents, and can connect to a number of high end Moto devices, such as the newly announced Atrix 2 and also our Photon, via what appears to be a dongle. Launches exclusively on AT&T on Oct. 13th followed by launches at other locations (Sprint?) later this month. No price yet.
Anyone interested? This guy is.

That's great news!
Webtop is quite slow, not productive enough. I always wonder whether moto is going to seriously speed it up.

From a hardware standpoint, webtop performs ok when compared to an equivalent netbook. Not too long ago those single core Atom netbooks could barely play youtube vids. The eyecandy is it main hindrance and the patch work coding doesn't help.
I've already discussed possible improvements with moto and there response was pretty much "webtop's awesome, everybody loves it, the hardware can't support a real desktop enviroment and who would want that anyway." My rebuttal was to show them my Photon running, at that time, a prerelease of Ubuntop using the lapdock. "We don't get it." was what I got in return at which point I walked away.
I have a single core 1.6 intel atom netbook and im sure my photons hardware blows it out the water lol. I need a full fedora distro on this thing = perfect phone
That's pretty legit. I might actually ponder getting one if I don't get a tablet instead.

You know what, I had an Asus TF. Great device, great support. I traded it and went back to my NC running CM7 via Phirenook. 7 is such a good form factor, I slide it into my binder and have my text/web resources at my fingertips, right beside my notes. I have magazines on there and books, and with that screen...things are easy to read.
That being said, I'm hoping a 7" model of Xoom 2 is announced and or the Galaxy Tab 7 is price appropriate, because there is something incredibly utilitarian about a tablet the size of a paperback. My $.02.
Edit: Locks like the Lapdock is going to run $249. Hmmmm.

Just point me to a working otg cable and I will be happy to test it.
otg cable from this seller for Nokia worked on my sgs2, so i think we can try it on motorola too
this one also: http://cgi.ebay.com/Right-Angled-Mi...464192?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b7caa3c0
this one too: http://cgi.ebay.com/Left-Angled-Mic...Accessories&hash=item1e62304c75#ht_1691wt_905
and this...: http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-2-0-Female-...ps=63&clkid=9075970492367539318#ht_1992wt_905
AND THIS : http://www.dealextreme.com/p/micro-usb-on-the-go-host-otg-adapter-pair-50774
they all worked on sgs2 and since there is no info about specific model they should work on most of all devices. well the price is little so you can just order 1 and check...
Will buy a cable and test when Inget home from holiday.
Don't buy cables, you'll only blow up your money.

I have a class 6 SanDisk 64GB and when using the phone there is no difference in speed compared to my previously used 32GB class 10 card. The only difference I see is when transferring data from a PC onto the card - it is a bit slower.
Found a 64GB microSD (class 6) for $110 with shipping

But I just bought a 32GB class 10, and my current card is 16GB class 4 soo I'll be fine for a while. Still really awesome to know that our phones can do 64GB cards

1saleaday is completely legit and trustworthy!! I have ordered ffrom them many times and never had a issue. Do expect shipping time take a couple of weeks, but if your ok with that then your fine. Keep an eye on them as they will probably offer them again in the near future. I ordered 3 of those a few months back and they all 3 were perfect. One is in my Prime right now and one in my Evo 3D. I paid either $25 or $30 each when I bought mine. About 1.5 year ago the cheapest you could buy these cards for(name brand like SanDisk anyway) was $60-70, which I did for my Evo 4G back then....

I know with SD, MicroSD, and USB flash storage (not exclusively) are commonly sold on ebay as higher capacities than they really are. Theres lots of guides on google for checking your cards to make sure they are legit.
Not that i doubt the reputation or trustworthyness of the source, its just always a good idea to check.
Also, make sure you dont lose it. Im still annoyed about my 16gig class 10 card i lost the other day, popped out on me and i didnt notice. i was not a happy camper.

Came with Micro USB reader. Card works great, top rated seller says it isn't a knock off but who really knows for sure but the card is pretty zippy.

yuh indeed the lockscreen especial and UI looks fantastic. Since it uses same kernel and drivers as android maybe someday we could see it running on our devices :good:
I guess they will release images for the nexus devices (Ubuntu is running on the nexus 7 but it's the desktop version)
I think we will have to wait what happens :good:

The minimum specification for running it need at least 1GHz processor with 512 ram and 4-8GB eMMC + SD. So i guess this will not able to run to our devices because small internal memory size

I belive that the internal memory flaw can be bypassed. After all,we do have extreme devs

Looks awesome, but it'll be a long time until our devices get it, if they do... Sony won't release it for xperia 2011, that is obvious, maybe they'll grab it for 2012-2013 and edit it, since Ubuntu let manufacturers do that, but i don't think we'll get official one. Maybe a port, hopefully, with our awesome devs will be possible! The internal memory shouldn't be a problem since it acts like a sdcard
ooooh yeah. That's gonna be so awesome.
Too sweet! I can hardly wait.
