port s pen settings?

Ok so I'm new to the note, i love it and being since I'm a flash a holic i love all the custom roms people have been pumping out but what really discourages me from keeping them on my phone is lack of s pen control. Dont you think its kinda pointless to have an s pen and not use it? mean its not like its integrated into the back of our phones or anythimg =p I like the gestures to get around its so nice and the hovering point makes me feel like i have a computer for a phone so my question is , is there any way to implement/port the s pen settings into any custom rom? Miui, jellybean, paranoid would be ****ing sick ha
S-pen support is native to the touchwiz UI, and Samsung.
Other apps from the market work well as a replacement, but the true s-pen support is not able to be used other than running a stock rom, or it's rooted variants.......
you wont see any AOSP, AOKP, MIUI roms running it, because it's Samsung intellectual property......g

If you need the TW and full s-pen, use Bigfau's Black*STAR 6 or Flappjaxxx's UCLF6 b 5.
Either rom is an excellent choice, you will not be disappointed.

Well,
I think the odds are good that a note II rom will make it to the note 1....
Depending on the final version that ATT gets.
If it's a quad core.....then probably not. but if it's a qualcomm chipset with duals...then maybe....
The devs will be the first to let us know I'm sure...LOL....g

[Q] touchwiz vs aosp?

Hey guys ive had my note 2 for a week now an im in love! This phone totally rocks! Im coming from a galaxy nexus an thought dat I would hate touchwiz but I dnt its really startn to grow on me.but jus wanted get anyones views on any performance gains I would get frm flashing something like cm 10.1 or aospa? Im currently on clean rom lite an it seems fine I cant kill the battery in a day I havent got anything less than 7 hours of screen time but im curious if some of these smaller sized aosp roms would improve on an already kick ass phone?
touchwiz cant be beat for all around performance, reliability, and features. something is always buggy with aosp, i would say its 90% functional. problem has been samsung not releasing source, so hacks and patches are made to get certain things working like data. i like aosp dont get me wrong, but on my s3 and n2, touchwiz resides as my daily.

[Q] ROM with Vanilla look that has Touchwiz features

So, I absolutely love the vanilla style of ROMS. My phone prior to my GS4 was the Galaxy Nexus which ran the Liquid Smooth ROM. I've been flashing my GS4, trying out a bunch of different ROMs. I loved the ones that have the vanilla look to it, but it kind of sucks not having some of the cool touchwiz features. I've done some looking around but have not quite find anything. Is there ever going to be, or is there already, a ROM that has the vanilla look to it, but still has some of the cool touchwiz features such as the motion controls, the different picture types, etc.?
There may be themes for some of the existing TW-based roms, but specifically keep an eye on Bean's rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307357
There have been a couple previews of an S3 theme that runs on top of that phone's rom, and it looks pretty amazing. I agree with you that this might be what I lean towards.
Once the ROM community picks up, there'll be TW roms themed to look like AOSP. I know beans mentioned that he'd do something like that at some point.

Overtime I'm sure AOSP/TW roms will be plentiful and staple

[Q] What you expect from custom ROM for Mega?

Hi everybody
Recently I noticed a large interest in the subject custom ROM for Mega. Especially a lot was written about the AOSP. Please express, what do you expect after installing such ROM and why you do not like TW?
Another thing are stock ROM's stripped of almost all s-apps and other software deemed unnecessary in order to recover memory. Please share your opinions on the advisability of such action. Did you really needed all this reclaimed memory?

I expect most of the new features for S4 and Note 3 to be available in this ROM.
I still dont know if we can expect full 4.3 update. Some web sites claim that Mega wont receive this "Premium package" update whatever that means. I dont think that Mega 6.3 is a mid class smartphone and it would be plain stupidity if we stay out of good updates. So very important part for a custom RoM is the availability of the latest Samsung goodies from the flagman like S4 for instance.
Also I think that TW is not so bad, I like its interface.

Hmm, I was asking about expectation towards AOSP custom ROM-s as such CM or MIUI. As you probably know, many futures in Samsung stock ROM depends heavily on TW. Massive striping stock Samsung ROM from all s-apps could even cripple your phone. But installing AOSP ROM will means clean-out all samsung dependencies, so there will be not possible to run futures from S4 or GN3. maybe I'm wrong, let somebody correct me.
I think so TW is not so bad either and was curious why some people are so opposed to it. I was user of Motorola Defy which actualization stops on Android 2.3 so custom ROM's were only alternative. Now I am not so eager to strip my Mega to bare AOSP.
Yeah I missed the point of AOSP rom a little bit, but I strongly believe that a Samsung device without TW loses its advantages. I've been using Galaxy S with AOSP for a long time but I was forced to do it because of the lack of updates after 2.3.6
Samsung says that the new 4.3 update will bring new and fast TW without lags and constant refreshing. This makes me think that porting the new SW is better than Aosp roms. Of course there should be some roms based on CM cause many people preffer stock android instead of customized one.
I just want CM because it allows you to port MIUI v5. I have always been a fan of MIUI roms.

Most popular ROMs?

Hey everyone, just got my htc one and I'm loving it. I plan on rooting soon and I want to try some ROMs but I don't know where to start. I'm coming from a galaxy s4 running hyperdrive. I really didn't like touchwiz, but cyanogen lacked a little too much galaxy s4 specific support for me. So far I like sense a lot better so I would like to try some sense based ROMs but like I said, I don't really know where to start (this is my first htc). Any recommendations for sense based ROMs that have great performance and feature tweaks?

I'm using SkyFall deodex. I came from Galaxy S3, really enjoying this phone. Not a lot of feature tweaks just yet but you can install Xposed Framework and get a lot of mods, check out Gravity Box and Sense 6 Toolbox. I know that a popular S3 developer is working on a new rom and he's pretty legit. SkyFall is stable, fast, and good battery life for me, but that's just my 2 cents.

I'm using ViperOne. Once you try it, you'll never want to flash another ROM again! It's sense based, and had more tweakable things than I've seen in any other ROM.

I think this is the best Roms.
