hey guys , i recently got an xperia x10 min pro and i have confronted an issue with calling a contact and the screen going black mid phone call and nothing responds unless i slide the keyboard , i tried repairing and updating the phone via sony companion but still nothing .
so does anyone know what this problem is ?

Hello, i bought xperia p in t-mobile, i had this problem from beginning, when someone was calling to me i couldnt answer, because screen didnt respond to touch, i could only push power button to end call and after this it worked, but this happened to me many times, which make this phone unusable. I debranded to soft 6.0.b.3.184, and the same problem occurs. I wanted to send this phone on warranty, but i didnt find t-mobile branded firmware(or it isn't needed for warranty?).
I had this brand before debranded:

I have the same annoying problem.
Same here. Actually, it happens quite often that the screen doesn't respond. Most of the time it can only be resolved by rebooting. I always thought that it was because I use a third party keyboard Swiftkey which was causing this.
I also have this problem and work out with the reboot (power + volume) as suggested [email protected]

I have the same problem, but I don't use Swiftkey so that's not the problem. I've already tryed some settings changes, reintstal system. Nothing helps.
Yes I have that problem sometimes...it can be a software bug...had yhe same problem in my arc in ICS...

I have Xperia mini pro with bootloader locked. I turn off the phone and when I turned it on touchscreen and soft keys were not working! I have tried repair from sus and PC companion but nothing any ideas?
If u r using stock kernel and stock rom the problem is your phone's touch.

I have a similar problem with my Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro SK17i. The phone works on the latest stock ROM ICS 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.587.
Brief discription of the problem with the phone: on random moments the touchscreen does not respond. When the touchscreen does not respond, the capacitive buttons are lighting up and also not working. Also when activating the phone with the home or power button there is a delay noticeable before the display 'wakes up'
I have sent the phone twice already to the Sony customer service center without any result. First solution reported by sony repair center: update software. Second feedback reported by sony repair center: update software + functional test. Unfortunately the phone still has the same problems.
My phone is still in warranty. Therefore I am very unhappy with this useless phone.
So sending back to service? I don't know.
Is there somebody who also recognizes this problem and knows a fix for this issue? All help is very much appriciated.
I think we should buy a new phone!

Need some help and some guidance from the members regarding a serious issue with my Xperia Sola
The main issue with my Xperia Sola is that the screen freezes 2 or 3 times a day on various situations like when i am browsing on the internet or just browsing thru menus and or even when i write a text message. A random freeze i can call it! The screen freezes and looks like when you're watching a 3D movie without glasses. it's a bit..i don't know the exact term to decribe it but looks exactly like i said. So, after that it becomes unresponsive and the only thing i can do is to restart the phone using up volume button + start button at the same time! Then, it's coming back to life and...i am waiting for the next **bleep** freeze again!
The phone is upgraded to the latest version of android 4.0 with the Latest available software: 6.1.1.B.1.54. I allready performed an repair thru the pc companion on my pc and also tried SUS but the problem is still there.
I don't know wether is a hardware issue or a software issue!
Any ideeas?

This is Sony issue. They made this phone so buggy in both hardware and software that they just abandoned it (and whole novathor line excluding xperia go) after 9 months after premiere. I've tried multiple ROM's and tweaks, and still Sola is the worst android device I've ever used. Best thing you can do is just buy a phone which is not manufactured by Sony. Sorr dude.
hello, i have a problem with my xperia u, i cant text properly with it, some times the letter cant be pressed(im using the 3x4 keyboard not the qwerty, but even qwerty keyboard cant be pressed the letter sometimes). my girlfriend experienced it on her xperia u too 2months ago, but its under waranty that time so the service center did repair it successfully. but now my phone's waranty is already expired, we took it too service center too, but they did not succeed on repairing it, they said the touch screen must be replace. i dont want to think this way but i dont believe it because my girlfriend's phone has been repaired with a very similar problem, now i think that they said that to me so they can get more money if i will agree to them to replace the touch screen. does anyone know how to fix this? its different on other not responsive screen problem, i check the service test on touch screen and there is no broken line, its just hard to press sometimes on texting but there is no problem making a line. factory reset and repairing via PCC and SUS is not solving the problem(both on mine and on my girlfriend's phone when she is experiencing the problem) thank you very much in advance to everyone.
If it's a hardware problem no one here can help you fix it.
Lots of touchscreen problems woth U and Sola, I would think Sony should fix them free of charge.

actually i dont think that it is a hardware problem, because like what i've said, my girlfriend's phone experienced the exact problem that im encountering right now, and they fixed it with i dont know what they did but they didnt replace anything, meaning its only a software defect. if i was remembering it right, they are talking about software calibrate or something like that but im not so sure about it. maybe they dont want to fix it with free charge now thats why the saying that it is a hardware problem for me to pay. i really believe someon could help me here, i would be very thankful and im thanking now in advance.

when i encounter the problem, my firmware is ics 6.1.1.b.1.54. but after taking to the service center it became gb 6.0.b.3.184 but the problem is still there. and also when my girlfriend experience it on her phone, her firmware was ics 6.1.1.b.1.10, i hope the infos would help to analyse the problem. thanks in advance again.

i flashed the pureXz2 v10.0 and it dont work...Somedays ago, my touch screen got worst with 2 lines instead of 1...i think i gonna change the touch screen/digitalizer, but i guess that i will cost a lot...

Bro did you use ur phone in water?? Or opened your phone's flap in moist place?

i used in water but that was 2 months ago and the flap, i dont use it,bcoz i use a magnetic cable charger, to not open the flap...if u have the same problem upload a screen capture by using the test service of the phone,

I got my phone repaired by sony centre at a free of cost (Insurance company paid the fee). But the screenshot resembled my phone error too, except my phone had two non working place/auto touch.
Anyone know if this problem gets worse over time ?
