Hi, a couple of days i was use my phone typing via whatsapp, but idk how, my touch screen it begin to fail.
I attach a screen capture with the space that it dont work the touch screen...i flash a stock rom and a custom rom and it dont repair the problem
CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO REPAI THIS AAAAAAMAZING ROM!!!???

Bro did you use ur phone in water?? Or opened your phone's flap in moist place?

i used in water but that was 2 months ago and the flap, i dont use it,bcoz i use a magnetic cable charger, to not open the flap...if u have the same problem upload a screen capture by using the test service of the phone,

I got my phone repaired by sony centre at a free of cost (Insurance company paid the fee). But the screenshot resembled my phone error too, except my phone had two non working place/auto touch.
Anyone know if this problem gets worse over time ?

hello guys, so after 3 days now i'm still having this problem: when i wake up the screen, for about 10 second the touchscreen is not working properly, is acting like crazy, this happens when i try to unlock the screen or when someone is calling me. after those 10 seconds, with screen on the touchscreen is working ok, with no problems. i have the device foar 6 mounths now, i've tryed with diferent roms and same problem. if someone else has or had this problem and know how to fix it please post a reply. thanks in advance
I saw in KA sony rom thread you also have this problem. Thanks for making this as separate thread to discuss this issue and find solution to this.
I was searching online and I found many have such problem and have all random solutions to it. like - offline charging the phone, landscape rotation toggle, headphone jack, press bottom of the phone hard etc etc but nothing worked for me

I've tryed all the soluttions presented above and nothing worked,i've send my phone to waranty service because is a hardware issue and needs to be solved in a way or other.

My call screen locks up very occassionally, but for some reason if you move the reject slider, hold it and slide it back without hanging up, it will come back to live. Never had a problem with lockscreen.

Out of no where that issue is gone. As far as I remember I did nothing to my phone.
It was same ROM, same kernel, same apps no updates so dont have solution

Yes all back to normal
I still have that problem, but only when my phone is charging... Whn I touch the screen it would jst randomly touch anywhere! I used the show touches option in developer settings in ICS and everytime I touched it.. It showed the random touches too .. But all this only happens when my phone is charging. Rest of the time it works completely fine.

yes, this mean's your phone touch panel is going to die. I also have the same problem, when i connect my phone on charger touch works randomly, when i removed it comes normal. This because i remember i used a duplicate charger and also tried different data cable which is same like SONY cable. So i feel this is main reason my touch panel gone and it is now on service center .
So if you do these all, please stop doing it. And use always SONY's Charger and Data cable to save your mobile from "TOUCH PANEL ISSUE".

My phone has already made a visit to the service center for the same issue, though the problem still persists.. Even with Sony's charger and cable! This problem seems to hav no solution

Which mean's they didn't change your touch panel , How long your phone was with service center ? Why didn't you contact them again ?
My phone with them for more than 25 day, Probably i will get on next week.

My phone was with them for almost a month... Later while recieving the phone I noticed my phones front panel was damaged(the lower right of the front panel had broken paint) and the display electronic strip which should be covered was left exposed.. So they kept my fone for like 2months more.. No jokes! Contacted them every alternate day.. They always had the same answer.."we have ordered the parts.. It should be dispatched in a day or two" Thn finally I got my phone back with the front panel replaced.. But the strip was still exposed! I dint want my phone to stay there a month or two more.. So I let it be how it is! IMO I chose the wrong service center... There wer also others who complaining about their service... So now my phone has the touchscreen issue and a bit of the display electronic strip exposed inside the battery cover. Gave them my phone for an issue they gave me back with two!

hello i have a problem I updated and now i don't have the service menu when i dial that code for opening the service menu nothing happen please provide me the appropriate download link for the servicemenu.apk and a guide on how to implement it and I have another question don't know my xperia neo v was working correctly but its been 2 days its touch screen is fluctuating for example when I slide on unlock the phone I have to try 3-4 times as its always giving errors of wrong code etc don't know its a glitch or what so for that's why i want to test my touch screen so wanted that service menu apk.

Yep , it's stock .
My sk17i touch screen stops working once i flip the hw keyboard..but the keys are working .i av to reboot evertym to get touchscreen working again.. i think its a hardware bug since i tried changing kernel and rom...nybdy experienced similar problem ..any hope:crying:
; after few more flips the touch is totally gone.. nw i av no touch functionality whthr fliped or non fliped.....so i think it is safe to keep the phone off until repaired...
The ribbon/cable/wire that connected mainboard with keyboard is broken. U need to repair it.
Happen almost everytime with any phone with slide, dumbphone or smartphone.

flex cable repair is available in near by shop..1000rs for duplicate and rs2000 for original...i think even sony put second quality parts on our phone.. i decided to go with duplicate

As for touch sensitivity issues, the latest .55 firmware fixed it. I updated my firmware the moment I got my device.

Well, I don't have any touch issues.
A lot of peeps in our local Singapore forums mentioned that a new firmware fixes it, so the first thing I did when I got the phone is to connect it up to the PC Companion and updated the firmware.. and it works. No touch issues.

Second to this. Just update the firmware via PC Companion and there's no more touch screen issue. My z2 has no other issues I notice.

I also upgraded from Xperia Z haha. Luckily my original Z and the one sony replaced (Cos the original one's speaker died when water went inside due to back cover coming unglued) have perfect screens.

You were unlucky and lucky at the same time!
i got a lot of touch issue.
1. the upper side of the touch screen isn't working most of the time. therefore i cant access the status bar.
2. sometimes the entire touch is getting crazy. i press on one place on the screen, and other icons get presses too.

Is it just my phone or is the touch screen a bit too sensitive? All I have to do is hover my finger over the screen and it registers a touch - which can get old when you're typing. I only noticed it today though. Anyone else?

same here, i also felt that it was very sensitive. i often accidently pressed something while scrolling - toggling glove mode did not really change a lot. got my nilkin tempered glass protector some days ago though, its perfect now with it
If you turn off glove mode, you have to touch screen to register, with glove mode on hovering your finger above screen is enough to register

That's the first thing I checked; glove mode is off. It was worse last night then it is this morning. About the only thing I did was flash back the .69 stock kernel to see if that made any difference. I know that between the rom and custom kernel, there are a number of customizations going on. (not insinuating anything about either - just trying to eliminate possibilities if this isn't by design). Plus I shot a mail off to Sony as I saw a few people on their support site mentioning the same thing.
OR I could just be OCD lol.
My long presses seem to be registered much much faster!

yeah i agree it is way too sensitive ! i have glove mode switched off and still its too sensitive . when im making a call my cheek keeps touching the screen and the key tones drown out the conversation .

I know that's what it sounds like - but both of us have checked and glove mode was off. Anyway, I flashed the stock kernel (.69) last night and it's not so bad today. Whether there is any correlation w/ respect to that is another question.

I have the same problem as well since I opened the box ... And I definitely don't have glove mode on. This is the only complaint I have about the phone really. Otherwise, it's fantastic.
Possible solution
If this problem is still an issue: This seems to be a problem with most Sony devices snapdragon 800 and up. In the Xperia Z Ultra forum what we did to solve the issue was to root the device. Then use root Explorer then go to system>usr>idc>open "max1187x_touchscreen_" and change this line from "touch.filter.level = 2" to "touch.filter.level = 5". That's it. All that needs to be changed is one character. Seriously.... SMH Sony.

Problem still persists for me. Changed to 5, then rebooted, and i can still hover my finger and registers as a touch. I'm on Carbon though, is it stock rom only?
Edit: after a couple more reboots, it's working! Not too sensitive anymore. Can I change it down to 4 to make it more sensitive? Is it like a scale? But it did screw up some other things, xposed doesn't work now.. Will have to find out why.

It is like a scale and 5 worked great for us. I don't know about anyone else but I did this on the stock rom. Maybe you could try 6 or 7? Definitely wasn't a placebo for me. I Couldn't even use both fingers on the screen at the same time without this mod. I just couldn't play games at all because everything would lean to one side just because of a little dirt or moisture. Touch Screen issues #MotoXForce
Well I just got a Moto X Force ( Marshmallow 6.0) and I'm having an issue with the touch screen . It happens about 9-10 times a day . maybe more . and it's random from what I have noticed .Thing is , *sometimes* I would approach the icon of an app( or a button to click on a website) with my thumb/finger , and the touch is registered wihout even me actually physically touching the screen yet , not saying that something else opens up ,no, only that app opens up which I was about to , initially , but I'm pretty damn sure that a lot of times it has happened while my finger is still approaching the screen , I.e. hovering over the touch screen. Anyone here got that one ? Would be great if i can get some clue .

Well , then , either its the firmare (Hopefully ) or that the screen is defective ( OMG Please no ) , will reset the phone a couple more times and see what comes up , maybe wait for an update from google on the software side , visiting a service center would be my last resort , people at the service centers in this country are more clueless than I am , they'd just try and wouldn't be able to do anything but damage my device further and wouldn't even claim they did it leaving me no choice other than to get a new phone , thanks for the concern tho !

is this problem / random glove mode activated still exist on .575 ??
My Z2a (running on .575 MM ROM) still face this issue. Sad.
My devices is not rooted, so i can not try to edit screen-sensitivity related file.
This problem so annoying
