XNA for Windows Phone 8 - Windows Phone 7

Sorry for post this in Windows Phone 7 forum but i can't find a better place for this question.
I know that Windows Phone 8 is backward compatibility with XNA app for Windows Phone 7 but I have a hard time to find the best way to handle the resolution.
Windows Phone 7 default resolution is 480x800 for all phones but I know that Windows Phone 8 can have a bigger resolution 768x1280 (Lumia 920). What is the best way to handle the different in resolution. Im my code I hard code the resolution to 800x480 (landscape) when I run the Windows Phone 8 emulator it has a black bar in top and bottom.

Wallpapers

I have an image I wish to use as a wallpaper background on my home screen.
I have cropped the image in photoshop to the exact screen size, I have successfully blue-toothed it from my mac to my Hero, when I go to set it as my background it only takes a section of it and not the whole image itself.
When looking at the standard wallpapers they are all landscape and selecting one also only takes the middle section to use.
Any ideas?
Whenever I have set my own picture as a Home wallpaper, the Hero shows a green cropping rectangle that sets the correct aspect ratio.
Do you not get this ? If so make sure the green box is resized correctly to display your image.
Also... in case I read you wrong... the wallpaper covers all 7 Home screen's and is not supposed to be enclosed in just one. ie you will see a section of it and this will move slightly as you swipe between Home's.
BTW, what did you use to Bluetooth the file from your Mac ? My Mac won't see it in Bluetooth File Exchange.
Of course forgot that it was one giant screen...
Just using the regular built in bluetooth, (have a dual 2.8 imac, OSX 10.6 snow leopard)
On another note - do you know what size the image would have to be made to fit the entire 7 screens (pixels or mm)
Snow Leopard How's that going ??
Maybe 10.6 adds more functionality ?
Did you just pair it with Bluetooth setup ? I did try that but it failed to find any services.
I believe its 640 x 480 or any other size to that aspect ratio.
Snow Leopard is the mutts..... Little bit quicker and I gained approx 15gb on my HD (not really noticeable when you have 1tb internal and 1tb external though )
Various little tweaks and a few old things improved.
Could well be that Snow Leopard has improved functionality, I know my friend had probs running OSX 10.5 and it wasn't seeing his Hero but mine is fine
Sounds good... being ex-Apple its great when the company do things right
mrdavie, I've just installed 10.6 (finally arrived this morning), but the Hero is still not seen as having the necessary services for file transfer - how are you doing it ??

Colour calibration tool for WM 6.5?

Does such an app exist?
I need to calibrate colours since I've bought a new lcd and the new one the white is more yellowish...
Ii think the colour-balance is hardware-dependant; maybe the manufacturer´s LCD is out-specs..
Yes, but you could reach same goal tweaking the video driver. Windows for desktop, even Android can tweak screen colours using the video driver... there are plenty of apps for that.
I wonder whether such an app exists for wm6.5...

[Q] Resolution too small in Virtualbox

i just installed this Remix-OS_3.0.101_20160726_VB-64bit in a virtualbox computer and it's working well but the screen is too small, like what? 1024x768 or something, pretty much too small.
Is it possible to have it show in a higher resolution?

Screen (Window) resolution RemixOS 3.027 on VMWare Player 12.5.5

Dear all,
I downloaded and tried RemixOS 3.207 x64 on VMWare VM just to try this amazing OS. All works fine, except screen resolution.
Default screen resolution (VMWare window) is 800x600 and searching on Google I was not able to find any working method to set my desired resolution at boot or when OS running.
Attention: I don't want to setup screen DPI, I can already do that and is working fine. What I desire is to set the screen resolution (VMWare Player host window) to a specific resolution (ex.: 1600x900).
The only method that seems to work half is to add "vga=ask" on GRUB menu, and when RemixOS is starting it propose me a list of resolutions to use.
If I choose 0x342 (1152x864x32) after confirmed with RETURN the VMWare window size changes to a bigger size, and internal RemixOS resolution is really 1152x864x32.
Unfortunately higher resolutions are not present (max is 1152x864) and I don't understand if this is a limit of RemixOS or by the VMWare video card emulator which not supports higher VESA modes.
However windows is working fine at full res (1920x1024) inside VMWare.
Please help in setting VMWare fixed high resolution for RemixOS.
Thanks
this is the exact problem with remix, someone fix please

Title: Help Needed: Custom Display Resolution 1024x600 on Orange Pi 3 LTS (Android)

Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble with display resolution on my Orange Pi 3 LTS board. I have a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024x600 from Waveshare, but seems that its not supported by Orange Pi. I get black screen with some colored lines.
board and the display are fine i connected other hdmi desktop monitor to the board and its all good.
also checked the 7 inch diaplayby connection to other comptures everything is fine as well. in fact orange pi ubuntu linux system are working good withthis display. The problem is only with android.
I've tried various methods to change the resolution, but nothing seems to work. well i am new to all this so may be i did not do it correctly.
I've tried unpacking .img file and editing the parameters in the config.fex file, it did not work.
I've also tried using the adb shell , adb shell wm size 1024x60 it did change the resolution but still no image on the display.
I would really appreciate any help or guidance on how to set the correct custom resolution for my display on the Orange Pi 3 LTS. If you have any experience with this issue or know of any resources that could help me, please share them in the comments below.
Thank you in advance for your help!
