the question is did u make a nandroid back up before u flashed it. If not u can back up ur apps with titanium back up and then wipe cache and flash ur rom again then restore ur backed up apps with titanium back up.
note: that u shouldn't back up system apps or data specially of course the cam causing the troubles.

install this file i know its ment for nexus but i flashed it today and now i have cam and gallery working its the cam and gallery app pulled from the nexus 4.2 rom . remba to nand befor flash !!!!!! iv had to put this into 2 parts as i cant upload files biger than 8mb and its 9mb so unrar and then copy the file to sd card then flash via cwm ... happy days
download site for it all in one file

I am usng cm10 on xperia neo v (fxp 145) will this work? Because i have tried oyher 4.2 cameras and the gallery works but view finder in yhe camera is greened out
Thanks but doesn't work on my cm10.don't know if i did something wrong.I downloaded two parts unrar them in one folder.then copied the zip to sd flashed it in cwm but the gallery stays the same.I can see gallerygoogle.apk in my system/app but if i try to install from there it says roblem parsing the package

What fix did you create?
What changes have been added for this works on CM10?
I've already found and tested 4.2Camera_t04 zip and it doesn't work. Still gallery ok but camera not working (view finder).
Hey any one tried on Cm10 fxp 145??? coz i m not using cm10 because of camera if that really works then it will be awesome!

FXP 145 CM10 comes with the built in legacy camera which works totally fine. So try it it's awesome. Just don't flash Gallery 4.2 on Cm10 because the camera is buggy(u can capture but can't see anything with camera on).
U will get fc with the gallery that comes with cm10 every time rom boots up but just ignore it

yeah i know it works fine. but picture colour are not as good as of stock camera in stock roms.... thats why i m not using i cant live without my HD camera which i have in stock and i want to have the same quality in CM10 which i havnt found..

I install photo sphere in our L9 and it works great,
installed through recovery.
1.REBOOT INTO RECOVERY.
2.INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD-CHOOSE ZIP FROM SDCARD
3.INSTALL IT.
but I found two problems.
1-sometimes I get the following failure:GALLERY APK(PROCESS COM.ANDROID.GALLERY3D) has stopped unexpectedly.
I uninstalled the old gallery and reviewed the permiss of new gallery but still happens.
This failure has no influence on the application and works great but if we can remove it...
2-photo sphere mode works so slow,works fine but so slow.
any idea or solution to work properly this way.

Odp: Install photo sphere in l9 by recovery.
Photo Sphere will be not working on L9 due to lack of gyroscope.

As I said before - it will not work due to lack of gyroscope (this is why it is so slow).
How slow is it? How much longer than on, say, a Nexus 4? I'm just wondering.

using any ROOT BROWSER, go to /system/app there you can delete the apk that has the name of the app you want to get rid of
but... before you flashed the nexus camera you had to do a CWM backup, so when **** happens, you can always restore
next time you wann try something, do a backup, it's takes less than 2 min i think.
Did somebody try hanmdimo zip? Does it works fine? And how will i delete that? Just restoring an old backup??

I still didn't try it
someone did and said that the keyboard works fine but the camera not so, the option for Photo Sphere is too slow.
before flashing this pelase backup using CWM,
if you don't like the apps then just restore the backup you made.
wondering if it is possible to mod the code of this apk so that it could run on the accelerometer on, instead of gyroscope which we dont have on L9 (some kind of using the accelero simulating the gyro....)

Here is rom [Custom ROM]CyanoMax Ninja[UNOFFICIAL][CyanogenMod 7 BASED] Can't post link.
Camera worked fine at stock rom. When i try to enter now in custom mod, it says cannot connect to camera.
Everything except camera works fine.

The issue is for your custom rom camera, u can do 3 things:
1. search for camera mod for CyanogenMod 7
2. install other camera app from market and uninstall roms camera
3. flash other custom roms based at ics

Hii I have the same problem but different phone and different rom
I have installed resurrection remix in my lyf ls 5010 phone . When I install the stock rom.it works fine but in custom rom front camera is not shown in any camera app even if there is a option to change camera from rear to front after tapping the button apps crash.video recording is not working too. rear camera works fine though.
Same issue, flashed a rom and camera app works but other apps that needs camera doesn't work like whatsapp Instagram edit app's camera

The rom may have some bugs. Ask the rom developer whether the solution has been provided or else ask him to make one.
There are many camera apps on google play but afaik none of the apps behaves/works like stock camera app.
You can try replacing the camera application of your custom rom with the stock rom. You can get more information on Google as well as XDA.
If still it doesn't solve, flash stock rom and use.

I don't own your device.
If you have taken backup of your /system of your stock rom, you can get the apk file. If it has odex file, make sure you deodex it before replacing the file. Read tutorial at Google and XDA on how to deodex the apk.
Orelse if you have not got stock backup, browse through your device's specific forum on xda and there you get that stock rom or any other custom which is stable and bug free camera app. Download the best and use it.
P.S. There is a dedicated thanks button. You can use it to thank anyone on xda.

Hi all
My S3 Camera was working good before flash the Rom (ArchDROID) after i flashed the Rom now the cam its not working (failed) also i flashed another Rom (NeatRom) and the problem not fixed , I did a full wipe for both ROMs , i flashed some fix apps here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/17-fixed-camera-app-lib-cm-aosp-roms-t2505973)

S3 camera in AOSP is very unstable. Use Google Camera instead, is the best option for now.
