Epinter CM10 JB - battery stuck @47% - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Flashed epinter's CM10 Jelly Bean last night and love it! Did my weekly night bike ride using Endomondo to track stats. GPS was great but battery died towards the end.
Now after charging all night battery still shows 47%. Any ideas ? Battery calibrator app says charge status must be 100% before it will wipe the bin file.

same here, stuck at 80%.

I'll take 80% over 47%
Guess I should let it die and try to recharge?

problems with battery can be fixed with ravilov's battery fixer (can be found in dev section) or by pulling battery, connecting phone to charger, placing battery and letting it charge till it says 100%.

extend battery prob
I also having incorrect batt % showing for my extend bh6x 1930mah on epinter cm10. Ravilov fix just temporary jump my bat percentage up a bit then it goes down very fast and stay at 1% for the next 6 hrs.
Is this because my atrix doesn't support bh6x? Or it is a ROM related problem?
I saw ravilov said something about having to mod framework-res.apk in bat fix thread p.11, but I do not understand what to do next.
Any suggestion?

You both can try ravilov's app.
It works like a charm.
It just ajust your battery's voltaje with the percent shown.

Greetings,

Reverted to stock 2.3.4. Similar to inaccurate battery percent reading, I have the same problem with hsdpa signal in status bar. Only have just 1bar but when I connected my phone to Motorola services, it says strong signal and full bar. Gprs signal bar is ok, inaccuracy only occur when switched to hsdpa .

Was it something to do with the radio? I'm still not familiar with this device so I have no clue.

If it's something about the signal, It's mostly of the times because of the radio.
You can see your actual version on " About Phone"
Im using 77.37p , but you can try one which is better for your own country.
My radio gives southamerican people good signal , as I can see.
Changing a radio version can fix ur problem ( or can make it worst ) if you flash a wrong version.
Greetings,

Sorry but can't find it, I only recognize signal status 84dBm is too weak. Can you redirect me sir to that related thread? Thank you sir.

You can try flashing this radio
01.100R
Look what radio you have right now .
Go to your "About Phone" in ur phone.
Or. you can use later the Search to find some other radio that might work good in ur country.

I did try the app before posting, it only works with my standard 1500 mah battery.
The batt% still false with extend 1930 mah battery.
Sadly i can't post in dev forum to ask ravilov if his app can correctly adjust 1930 mah.
Anyone using extend battery without % issue? What roms are you using and where did you get your extend battery?

Anybody NOT having battery jump issues on Gingerbread

Wondering if some people are not affected by battery jumping issues (defined as battery % available is higher after the reboot compared to before reboot).
As far as I can tell I'm not. Seems like a normal, steady decline with regular usage.

You are on Gingerbread, right? Can you reboot your phone and see if you have % continue where it left off.
I'm having battery issues as well. It jumps drastically after reboot. I'm on HKTW and I was wondering if the official gingerbread would fix this but I wasn't gonna waste my time if the battery issue still remained

It affects all Gingerbread versions from what I have read so far, so that's why I'm asking if somebody on Gingerbread is NOT having issue to find out what they did or do differently from rest of us not to have this issue. My battery just jumped after reboot from 26% to 89% available.
I'm on Kens GB 4.5.91 and battery works fine. I did use Battery Calibrate after install. I am actually getting better battery life too.

Ok. Had 50% before booting and now 80% after.
I've only rebooted once since jumping to stock gb. Then, I think I was somewhere around 60% at first then 90% after boot. I originally chalked that up to the battery calibrating itself as the battery was crappy after the upgrade and got better after the reboot. I'll keep a closer eye on it from reboot to reboot.

Well I take back what I previously stated. I guess I am having battery issues. I just rebooted and battery monitor jumped 14% after reboot however it showed a decrease in the Mv available (4039 to 3998). I was much happier thinking I had working phone lol

Have you calibrated your battery (cleared battery stats)?
I always use BatteryCalibration app from the Market after flashing a new ROM.
Otherwise the system needs to adapt the correct battery power to the old stats which may differ from the values in the new ROM.
BTW, I just flashed a new ROM yesterday, discharged my phone down to 12%, then fully charged the battery up to 100%, started BatteryCalibration app, hit the calibrate button, disconnected the power cable and turned the phone off last night.
This morning, the battery indicator showed exactly 1% less than yesterday evening.
I think that's Ok.

Battery information

Hi all.. for the past the days I have noticed that the battery usage or the battery information tab (eg. Display 30%, Android OS 25%......) in the settings of my motorola razr doesn't add up to 100%.. It varies between 92% and 102%. All I did was root my phone a week back using Motofail and I unrooted it yesterday using Doomslord unroot. Should I factory rest my phone? Please help!!!
Also does anyone know or have you seen this "battery report.apk" file which is also known as "Cool Down Mode"? It is in your phone internal memory. Do you know what it does. Has anyone installed it and checked what it does?
Thanks I advance!!!

I have the paid version of jd, it seems to make things worse for me in terms of battery life on the RAZR, and the lag in the initiation of the cell radio was very annoying. It was great for the og droid though. On another note, freeze all bloat!, and you may have to go through and change the sync settings on each app that uses network sync individually. I'm hesitate to suggest this because there's so many post claiming it's bad for your battery, while I understand the train of thought, I still question the validity of the advice. So do this at your own risk. Since the os is reporting more than or less than 100% battery my guess is that the os's scale is off. The os shuts down your phone well before your battery gets to zero as a fail safe, and stops taking a charge at 100%. When you flash a new rom, or didn't charge the phone fully before you turned it on when new, or any other number of variables, your battery stats get mucked up. The old school way to retrain was turn off and charge for how ever long it takes to know your fully charged (over night), boot into recovery wipe battery stats, unplug boot up and run the phone until it dies, charge to 100 with out turning back on, then use as normal. I dont advise that method, my advice is to run phone until it dies, charge to 100 with out powering up, run phone normally

It is in cwm menu under advanced, if you don't have cwm there is a file in the root system, you'll have to research to find its location, (i cant remember where it is), that holds the battery stats, you can delete it and it does basically the same thing. You might could find an app on the market that will find and delete it for you. Just be careful, do it right, you can make it worse.

Have you ever considered something as simple as % rounding error? Seems more likely, currently mine shows 101%.
I was also curious, what in the world compelled you to bother to add up the percentages in the first place? ;-)
Peace!
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA
Just to be totally sure, you're having problems with battery life, its not just that your battery usages are off. The percentages are rounded, but shouldn't be off by more than 10%, if so than its a tell of another problem, also if your a medium- heavy user your screen should be the highest percentage, if its android os or system using a large percentage its normally bloatware in your root file system, if it's media, you need to look at the motocast apps, if its cell stand by, check the time with out signal, if you have a large % with out signal, you should 1st check for the most recent radio, 2nd find out where it is you're getting poor signal and keep your phone in airplane mode in that area if possible, if not only turn off/ on data as you need it, your cell radio seaching for towers will drain your battery quick, also, the reason i suggested better battery stats is it can provide a more detailed breakdown of what is using your battery and identify apps that are keeping your phone frome going into a lower power state with wakelocks

No. I just turned the device on and off and that is what happened. If I put it on the charger it counts up from the lower figure. The only time it seams to notice something is wrong is when I use it and the battery figure either doesn't go down, or goes up, leading to a very amusing battery chart.

You are probably using a kernel which uses the battery gauge chip instead of the inbuilt battery meter. This behaviour would be quite normal on such a setup. I am using Siyah kernel and the battery level always goes up when I don't use the phone for a while. Yes, the battery chart looks funny! The overall battery life is just fine anyway.

To fix the issue on Siyah Kernel, download ExTweaks off the play store, and then reset the fuel gauge chip.
Chris.
kernel?
what is your kernel?
I am using Resurrection Remix ics v1.8.1[4.0.4] with the CM9 Kernel. But it was doing this before when I had Rooted Stock Rom. It may of been the Kernel in that case as well, but I have no idea what Kernel I was using at the time.
Try Siyah
Try with siyah kernel, is stable, faster and for me the battery life is very good

If you do a calibration and doesn't work, change the battery with one identical (from a friend with SGSII, dont buy it =) ) doesn't work too... maybe is the charge center from the phone and is damaged; if is it, take your phone to technical support...
I hope you have warranty, and take off al modified ROM's and Root's things.
