Back notification light too dim - HTC Droid DNA

Hi,
I've had my phone since launch day and I haven't had any (major) problems until tonight. I was showing the back notification light to one of my friends earlier and we could barely see it. I originally had plugged it in to show that it was there. It was really dim! I also had her text my phone to show that it flashed green when I got a notification. I couldn't see it at all! I had to take it into a dark room just to see it. Has anybody else had this problem? Can I return it and get a new one?

[Q] alert LED on while on call?

Picked up a Thunderbolt and tonight while making a call at night I noticed the alert LED glows dim red and kinda flickers whenever I'm on a call. Can anyone verify that this is normal behaviour or do I have a defective phone?
The only thing that changes color is my notification bar. Is your phone plugged in?
no, not plugged in- i first noticed it while taking a walk. on second look it's a dim, somewhat flickery orange.
yeah i see that too. maybe thats the proximity sensor? idk.
I went to the Verizon store and Best Buy also and looked at the demo models- all 3 appeared to behave the same as mine with the faint orange/red LED on while on a call, so I'm guessing that's normal behavior. The salesman thought it was the screen that was lighting up the LED, but I turned off the screen and you could still see the LED was on.

[Q] Gradient across screen

Hey guys,
So, today I got my phone back from Samsung (yay!) after repairs.
First issue, it came back with a different bezel, so I phoned up thinking "OMG WTF" and was told "Nah, we just did that because we had no others".
That's fine, boot my phone up, and then the menu lights didn't work.
Me: "WTF!!"
Reset the phone, display lights worked. Yay :3
Open "Gmail", oh, it looks like there is a gradient going from dark to light over the screen. Whhaaatt.
I turn the brightness up, it is less visible. Full brightness and it's barely noticeable.
I restart my phone, nope, it's still present. I notice it in the Android Market too and can just see it when the phone is idle.
I've tweeted Samsung, but I'm impatient when it comes to my phone, it's been difficult going with my trusty P1i for a week!
Thanks for all your help guys,
Jake,
P.S.
Going to try formatting again...
Well, another reset didn't do anything.
Sending it to Vodafone's repair centre now, to see what they can do...
I'll keep this thread updated!

Lighflow

Anyone tried this yet? I gave it a go, not really sure what to expect. Installed fine, both the front and back lights kept blinking green until I swiped down the notification bar to clear them, even though I didn't have any notifications. I was messing around with the settings, and it is able to recognize the back light independently, so that's good.
Then I let the screen lock, when I went to unlock it nothing would happen, just stay black, im not sure if it turned off, or the screen was just staying off. Thinking it turned off I tried to boot it up, but nothing would happen. So next I tried to get into bootloader mode, which did work. So from there I went into twrp fixed permissions for a good measure and rebooted fine. Then I promptly uninstalled lightflow, until I get some other input from someone else.
So if you are worried about trying I don't think you should be, just give it a go and let me know your results. Just keep in mind you might have to do something to get it to boot if you have a problem, wasn't really a big deal though.

I sent diagnostic information to the developer last week. His reply didn't sound too hopeful. HTC uses different hardware than most companies when it comes to the led mapping. I hope we will see an update that will provide further support for our device.
I wouldn't count on it, unlike the Nexus's notification light the Droid DNA (and most other HTC Phones) do not have multicolored notification lights. The light can effectively be 3 colors I think, which are red, green, and maybe orange/yellow at most (one of those might not even exist I cant remember) but that's it. Now if you just wanted to map those colors to individual actions I guess that could totally be feasible, but new colors outside of those like blue, purple, white, etc just isn't capable with the hardware in our phones.
It kinda sucks if your into that kinda thing, but what can ya do?
I agree that not having the multi-colored leds that my S3 had is an annoyance, but if LightFlow would just work so I could have dark orange for gmail and green for sms, I could live with that...
Unfortunately, I got the black screen at some point... I think after enabling the back led. And add to that I get the green led and it will not shut off no matter what. Sucks.
I'm starting to think that developer support will never get to an acceptable point for the DNA and I will need to go back...

yeah, when I started messing around with LED's I had problems. So in lightflow I just setup my different notifications like normal, but without the LED, and just use the repeating function instead. Yes, the LED would have been nice, but honestly I used lightflow for the custom repeating notifications and the LED was just an added bonus for me and isn't really necessary.

LG Thin Q 8 Notification Question

Hello,
I recently upgraded my old HTC phone to the LG Thin Q 8, so far I like the phone (there are a ton of features I still haven't learned yet lol), but I did notice one thing that was different from all my other Smartphone....when I get a Notification, text or missed a call I don't get a little green flashing light at the top of my phone (when the screen is off) alerting me that I have a notification/text/missed call. Is there someway to turn this light on, or does this phone not have that feature?? Someone please help me figure this out!!
Also, when I was looking at the LG Model in the Sprint store you could take a Screenshot by swiping the side of your hand across the screen, how do I turn this feature on??
Thanks so much!! ?
LG G8 doesn't have LED notification light. Almost no recent phones use that anymore. Like see least the past couple of years...
HOWEVER, you can enable the Always-on display function to see notifications icons when your screen is off.

My screen broke over night, any Ideas why or if I am the only one?

Hello,
So today I woke up and saw, that my A21s had pretty much broken. It worked just fine yesterday and now, I have a lot of faulty pixels, that when I open an dark app, they often show up green and when I open a light app, it shows purple lines. I mean, I will get an replacement from my carrier, but can anyone explain, what that is?
