[APP] Drake Launcher

Hi,
I found ADW based Drake Launcher on the Mad team forum. This has many features of the VTL Launcher but I like it more.
http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/project-drake/
You better try it too. It is light weight, can get those hidden apps from your system, and blazing fast. Since it is ADW based
it works both in landscape and prortrait.
Other ADW based Launchers:
Sense Look-a-like:

ADW.Launcher.MB.Playground (I am using this one right now)

Original ADW stuff:
Anderweb Launcher and ADW Launcher Ex are other spinoffs:

ADW opensource.

Found a bug:
If you long press an app (in the Dock bar) then it disappears instantly when the Edit flyout appears (240x320 resolution, Froyo 2.2)
Edit: can not reproduce it anymore. Must be a user problem then
Version 0.1.1 now out: http://www.multiupload.com/MFRIE15XKY
Dev. still here: http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/project-drake/

Good and Smooth launcher
What are Notification Bubbles? I have not seen one and I use the launcher very long now on multiple phones.
Should it be something like new e-mail or sms and missed calls?
Thanks for your time.
Cheers

[Q] Whta is the best launcher for Android 4.0 tablets

Hello and a good day
I have an Samsung Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110 and am looking for a nice and smooth working launcher to use. I don't like the default launcher that comes with my tablet and tested some others (SPB shell, TSF shell, GO Launcher EX and some more). I currently use GO Launcher EX but i think it's kind off slow and am wondering which launchers are the best for Android 4.0
I like Apex launcher
lol .. Am testing the Apex launcher pro atm
It looks good and scrolls better then GO Launcher EX. Maybe you can tell me about how the theming part goes. With GO Launcher EX you can download many themes, does it work the same with the Apex launcher or do you have to customize it manualy?

Apex is awesome. It pretty much beats any launchers out there in terms of features on the free version.
The pro version is great because it supports GO Launcher themes.
Backing up and restoring desktop settings is a breeze. The speed of the app is great. The only real issue I have with the launcher is the wallpaper resize issues and redraw issues.

That's a big + ... the support for GO Launcher themes. I see what you mean regarding wallpaper resizing. It's not a very sharp image compared to GO Launcher EX. For the rest it works great and it's faster then most of the launchers i tested.
I think i just found the launcher i was looking for.. thanks!!
phoenix launcher,
Phoenix Launcher is your choice in home screen replacements if you want some look and feel of the Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Did a search for it in the play store but all i found are Phoenix themes for the GO Launcher EX. Is it a launcher or a launcher theme?
Apex
Apex Pro is a great choice. I use it on my GS3 and my Nexus 7. Love it!
Hello guys,
I think Nova Launcher is the best!
Nova launcher is probably the best for 4.0. I run that on my old TF101.
I also run TSF shell on my phone, which is pretty awesome but its very resource intensive.
Nova
I prefer nova due to it's stability and wider support but apex is also a very good choice :good:
hello guys
best launcher for tablet device is TSF shell according to me .. it look cool and responsive as w:good:.... :good:

Apex Vs Nova Launcher , Which Do You Prefer & Why ?

Two very good ICS launchers & both have their respective fans !!
Apex Vs Nova ..... It's a very interesting topic of debate ... I would really appreciate some facts from the actual users as to why they prefer a particular launcher for their ICS device !! I would also like to include their "Pro" version functionalities in this healthy debate !! :good:
Sorry , just noticed a similar thread which was created some time back , All i need to know is after so many updates which launcher is worth buying as per their present day performance ??
Apex Pro OR Nova Prime ??
I know this is not one of your choices, but I have been using Trebuchet launcher (the launcher that comes standard with cm9) and it is awesome. Very smooth, snappy, and has tones of options. Reminds me of ADW, but in ICS form. I know that probably does not help you at all, but it's just another option to consider if you want
The first launcher that lets you change the grid in the drawer to fit more icons will be my favorite launcher.
Apex ;D because it gets most of the features first then nova gets after

Most stable launcher for SGS2

Heyya guyz.....i recently bought GS2 & i wanna know wich is the most stable launcher for it....'cos i dnt like much da Touchwiz!!!! :/
Moreover, previously i bricked my Live with Walkman, so it's kinda fear in my mind to root my SGS2......so i wanna know rooting of GS2 is easy? as i've seen in some videos!!

Apex launcher is fine, in my opinion is extremely fluid.
to root your device read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1505172
A launcher is a question of taste:
If you want ICS/JB look and feel and overall decent stability/features, go for Apex, Atom or Holo Launcher
If you want something with a lot of bells and whistles, but a little sluggish, try Go Launcher.
If you want nice 3D eye candy, go for MX Launcher or SPB launcher.
If you want super minimalistic, old school look and feel, try Launcher Pro or ADW launcher.
If you want something funky, really fast and a different overall approach to launchers, try TSF Launcher.
If you want MetroUI (WinPhone7), go for Launcher 7
If you want Sense, change phones. Or get ADW/Go Sense themes + Agile Lock + Beautiful widgets with sense theme...
Otherwise, Touchwiz has a few variants out there, Touchwiz UX standalone launcher is in the forums somewhere and theoretically, the Jellybean ROM might get a touchwiz UX revamp soon.

[APP] Not so well known launcher - Lightning launcher

Hey guys,
I was looking for a very light and fast launcher for replacing my xperia home.
I came across this launcher which i never heard of and is not so well known.
I has a refreshing new concept of a home launcher and i thought i would share.
Introduction video
Lightning Launcher on Google play
Maybe you like it as much as i do
Cheers
I tried this launcher a few times and even followed the development on Facebook a while. I liked being able to place things anywhere but the zooming in and out drove me mad. I settled for SSlauncher which also allows me to place text and icons anywhere.
Fast, less RAM usage, Smooth and good looking? Check THIS
thanks for the app.. !!!
I am using this launcher. Really light and fast. I would recommend it for those who like spiffy apps.
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
I installed this Launcher a while back but never noticed the text only style, the Zune style,
I replaced the font with NXT Font from Xperia S and it looks awesome, and fast,
I always love simple, clean, functional interface.
