(6) Scroll Down to Bottom of Settings and put a Check in Box for "Routing Fix"

installing now will let you know... running 1.0.1 kernel since that was most stable for me... do I need to reinstall the kernel modules since I am wiping system?
edit:
all loaded fine... the start up wait wasn't bad at all... and I didn't get a reboot on adding my google account...

When I installed I got Google search and play store fcs so I disabled and downloaded a new play store and updated Google search! Good Rom so far so good!

Loving it so far
Just installed this. Running it with the cubed kernel that came out today. Loving it so far. There is still lots of sense hanging around including the tutorial and tips screens. One thing that has been driving me crazy is the home button seems to take me to the zoomed out "card" view of my home screens at times when I don't expect it to do that, but otherwise great early build ROM. One nag I had is that my WiFi was stuck trying to turn on until I flashed the cubed kernel.

To go back to stock you have flash an RUU file. This requires relocking the device using the command "fastboot oem lock." Some people have had issues re-unlocking their devices but it seems that most of these are resolved by flashing your unlock token a few times

UPDATE: 08-21-11: I pretty much reworked this from the ground up. I started with a clean GB 2.3.4 and reconfigured all the MODS listed below. The rom is basically senseless now. Everything Sense related has been removed except for the lockscreen. Why? Because I like it and the incoming caller ID works properly. The 2.3.4 is quite a bit different in, nothing used for previous mods is in the same location. I have got most everything added back to proper files. Thanks to everyone who helped me out while doing this. I've added a few new programs to the /data/app folder as well so they can be uninstalled. Enjoy!

Recommended Instructions for flashing Project_ROM

I had a question about this new Gmail app everyone has been putting in their ROM's... Why are most of the settings gone from it? I have looked all over for the actual notification sound that you can change. I have had a few other ROM's on my phone that I could not for the life of me figure out how to change the sound for new email alerts in Gmail.. not the email notification.. the gmail notification sound.. if anyone could point me in right direction as to how to change the sound, i would probably try some of the newer ROM's that are out, that include this new Gmail app.. Thanks

it uses the default system sound now. there is no where to change it at this time. as for screenies, no, i dont have any. its sense with minor visual modifications.

personalize does nothing - Since sense is removed it will not load the personalize settings

you can but it will not have all the items taken out. I would suggest a clean wipe to make it fully what it is intended.
If you have 1.4.1 installed the changes i made will not be reflected due to the programs being still there so it does nothing

If you format /system, you will wipe all system including system apps and only data (including user apps) will remain. Sometimes, data left over from system apps will cause some issues, but usually not with very similar ROM's
The only time I had a lot of issues was when I tried doing that when loading Miui over CM7 data (both were based on CM7).
Busy on other things now, but will try in the AM over 1.4.1 that way.

are you restoring from Titanium if so make sure you do not put htcfacebook, htcpeep, htcfriendstream, back on the device. Also try a fresh install with out putting your apps back on

It seems like the only items that are getting restored are the ones from Market. My Titanium Backup folder is empty. So I'm assuming that's not it. Peep and Friendstream don't show up.

UPdate - it did no boot up well with the data carryover. It boots up, but I only see the status bar at the top going through the process and bringing up WiFi and WiFi calling, etc. but screen is frozen so cannot do anything with it..
re-formatted /system and re-flashed 1.4.1 ans all ok. Funny - it did carry some new data over from new ROM and had to reload widgets - but will have to see if it changed anything. Can always advanced restore only 1,4,1 data if needed, but working OK so far.
Probably does need a full wipe.

Check in Titanium settings for the backup location - usually have to reset that after a wipe. Your stuff is most likely all there.

Said folder was empty. I don't think I used TB on this phone for it's intended purpose. Only used to remove apps, so the folder should have been that way.

Ive got one nitpick tho. Is it possible to make it so that settings -> personalize will at least allow us to change the lockscreen shortcuts, or, can you put the HTC Music widget(s) back in the build? Thanks. Id like to be able to change the shortcuts in the stock lock screen and use the HTC Music widget. I can also use WidgetLocker but then I dont get the HTC music Widget. Thanks, I really like the rom!

Id like to be able to change the shortcuts in the stock lock screen and use the HTC Music widget. I can also use WidgetLocker but then I dont get the HTC music Widget. Thanks, I really like the rom!

for personalize to work we have to have Rosie.apk added back and it defeats the who senseless. I can make an addon to put it back. The widgets will only work with rosie installed though.

I'm on MK2 with Safestrap. I installed this as instructed, but in getting a reboot about every 5-10 minutes. Any suggestions? I love the ROM, playing with it between reboots.

Im running the same setup I had 1 random reboot after the rom installation about 10 minutes In to playing with it but since then it seems to be fine
maybe try and install it again

This is really a clean fast rom

I have a SCH-I545, 4.3, Build MK2, and although I flashed the MK8 patch & MK2 modules before booting the rom the first time it runs smooth fast and flawless on my phone with excellent battery life. I loaded and run this in my Safestrap "stock" position on my phone with no issues.
It's very clean and uncluttered and straight forward operation.

I'm on MJ7 build and I flashed the rom onto a brand new wiped slot, flashed the patch, then rebooted without flashing my module yet. The reason being that, for me, the modules don't usually take if I flash it right after the rom on initial install. I go through the initial setup, skipping most everything, then reboot to recovery, flash my MJ7 module, then reboot to get my wifi going. I didn't have any random reboots.

bobby did u flash the mk2 modules again? their cooked into the rom but that might help. otherwise clear out your data or resinstall the rom again it shouldnt reboot at least i didnt have any issues if it continues grab me a logcat up until the error and ill figure it out. but ya love this little guy you guys that are on it mind posting screenshots for people?

cool donations are accepted this ROM hasnt had much attention yet couple hundred downloads no thanks or donations from here tho...
but yeah we would have to translate that mod and that'd take a long time. i uploaded a collection of the mods i had tried successfully from their group tho and posted them just unrar the file to your sdcard and install sorry no description or reversal of mod is available

Installation:
1) Download Rom
2) Place on external SD card
3) Flash in Recovery, Aroma Installer will Startup
4) (until the next update) choose APEX Launcher to start with, Do not uninstall any apps (working the issue and will update as I discover the ones ok to uninstall from Aroma)
5) Setup will say it has stopped at the end (but it does work), Google play services may give errors until you update apps then it will be fine.
6) If you want to install the GE Launcher then reboot to recovery and reinstall the Rom with out wiping but this time in the Aroma Installer choose Google Home and again do not deinstall any apps. Upon next boot into the Rom, Setup will not be needed to be done and Google Home will be available to switch to when the Home key is pressed
7) flash the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip from recovery
**Ignore the gfs error when adding your Google account, it is the only time you will see it.
*** Apologies for the setting up of the Rom in V3. The issues will be straightened out soon. Bear with me.

I successfully downloaded ROM. Installed as instructed. First attempt, symlink error while flashing caused reboot and stuck at splash screen. I manually rebooted to boot loader, booted back to recovery and flashed again without wiping. Installed successfully. Flashed SuperSU zip as instructed. Seems very smooth so far. Very nice, thank you for this.

I can host a torrent for you. As long as other people will contribute bandwidth it'll get progressively faster / not require watching advertising to defeat a captcha to download.

hmmm... what version of the firmware are you on? .1 or above? I would think that it would work on the .1 firmware but I didn't try it. I know for sure that it works on the .3.
The most recent firmware from Capt. New partitions and all.

Directions:
1) Download ROM.
2) Boot to recovery (I recommend TWRP for flashing and your daily recovery but use Philz for backup/restore due to restore issues with the latest build of TWRP)
3) Do and advanced wipe and wipe cache, dalvik cache, system and data
4) Flash the ROM
5) Enjoy!

Can I join the old farts club too?
BTW, I know you posted to use TWRP to flash but it should be noted that TWRP may not play well when restoring backups on NE5.
I get apps force closing whenever I try to restore with TWRP the custom rom I am running so I use Philz Recovery to do nandroid backups & restores and TWRP for everything else.

I'm not sure what's going on with TWRP on restores with NE5. It may still work with a closer to stock NE5 build. I used to be able to restore, run 'fix permissions' and everything would be fine. But I noticed that the apps that are force closing are located in system/priv-app and it doesn't appear that TWRP is doing the permissions fix for that folder so at some point it just quit working for me. Like I said, just wanted to point it out so there is no confusion if people try to use it for backups and restores and it stops working for them.
TWRP has been working fine for me. I've restored system, data, boot, and modems using it with no issue. If it helps i don't use compression on backups and am using the latest recovery from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/klte

Right on. It works fine for me too for selective restores, flashing full roms, custom mods etc. It just quit working on full restores. There is nothing more frustrating than wiping the phone and trying to restore a full backup that doesn't run properly. LOL
Like I said, I'm not running exactly stock NE5 any longer either.
At some point, I really need to backup everything and do another proper full wipe of the phone including internal and external SD to see if that makes any difference. BUT, I'm not the only one reporting this issue with TWRP and the NE5 build so take it all with a grain of salt.
Edit: Also, my issue with TWRP restores is with both internal and external SD. Tried that at least.
