As many of you know, I've spent so long dealing with all these stock ROM's and never really branched out into the world of custom ROM's. I can never find a ROM that is 100% what I want. I find a lot that come close but never 100%. So I decided to branch out and try my hand at making my own custom ROM. That being said, this is my ROM. I made it for me. I'll take requests and do what I can but ultimately I'm building a ROM that is my daily ROM and does what I need it to the way I want it to. I'm sharing with everyone but I'm putting myself at your mercy to play nice. So without further ado...
The ROM:
- NE5 Stock Deodexed Base
- Rwilco12's Updater (ability to install mods, apps, etc on the fly)
- Native Call Recording
- Wi-Fi & USB Hotspot enabled
- 360 Degree Rotation
- Recents Button Switched with Menu
- Long Press Home for Recents
- Download Booster Enabled
- Carrier Lockscreen Text Removed
- Battery & Charger Cover Prompts Removed
- S-Find & Quick Connect Removed from Below Toggles (S-Find still available through button above toggles to the left of the date)
- System Apps Updated to Latest Versions
- Wireless Charging Pop-Up Removed
- Debloated (Removed Apps available through Updater)
- Removed Safe Volume Warning
- Customized CSC Default Workspaces
- Full Battery Notification Removed
- Extended Reboot Menu
- True 1x/3G Signal Indicators
- Connections Optimizer Removed

Directions:
1) Download ROM.
2) Boot to recovery (I recommend TWRP for flashing and your daily recovery but use Philz for backup/restore due to restore issues with the latest build of TWRP)
3) Do and advanced wipe and wipe cache, dalvik cache, system and data
4) Flash the ROM
5) Enjoy!

Can I join the old farts club too?
BTW, I know you posted to use TWRP to flash but it should be noted that TWRP may not play well when restoring backups on NE5.
I get apps force closing whenever I try to restore with TWRP the custom rom I am running so I use Philz Recovery to do nandroid backups & restores and TWRP for everything else.

I'm not sure what's going on with TWRP on restores with NE5. It may still work with a closer to stock NE5 build. I used to be able to restore, run 'fix permissions' and everything would be fine. But I noticed that the apps that are force closing are located in system/priv-app and it doesn't appear that TWRP is doing the permissions fix for that folder so at some point it just quit working for me. Like I said, just wanted to point it out so there is no confusion if people try to use it for backups and restores and it stops working for them.

TWRP has been working fine for me. I've restored system, data, boot, and modems using it with no issue. If it helps i don't use compression on backups and am using the latest recovery from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/klte
Edit: I am using NE5 as well

Right on. It works fine for me too for selective restores, flashing full roms, custom mods etc. It just quit working on full restores. There is nothing more frustrating than wiping the phone and trying to restore a full backup that doesn't run properly. LOL
Like I said, I'm not running exactly stock NE5 any longer either.
At some point, I really need to backup everything and do another proper full wipe of the phone including internal and external SD to see if that makes any difference. BUT, I'm not the only one reporting this issue with TWRP and the NE5 build so take it all with a grain of salt.
Edit: Also, my issue with TWRP restores is with both internal and external SD. Tried that at least.
