Pre-Requirements - in twrp go to wipe, select left option and check dalvik, cache, data and system and swipe the slider. do this 3 times then continue onto installing rom
1. install rom
2. fully set it up - this means do the initial setup. make any changes and install all your apps - you need to setup fingerprint before flashing update 1
3. reboot recovery
4. make a backup - this backup will be used to restore later
5. flash the update 1 file
6. enjoy the modified rom
7. do not make a new backup after installing the update 1 file as it will not work
now to restore it's really simple
1. restore the backup you made
2. reboot and let it boot fully
3. back to recovery
4. flash update 1 and enjoy

i honestly couldn't say yes. as i don't have that specific device. you can try it. and let me know. if it does i will add it to supported devices. but other that i can't say if it does.

I have tried most, if not all of the H918 roms from this forum on my US996 with no success. None will boot past the LG screen. Some will detect my non H918 device and refuse to flash.
All I'm really after is to see if I can get FM radio on the US996. Figured T-Mobile roms were quickest route. I'm not knowledgeable enough to try and pull it together from the T-Mobile base.

If you are not able to use OTA app
install it noramaly like any CWM Zip
and yes you can use speedmod
Yes you can use any kernel but I dont guarantee that all ota features will work

as this is full rom, it should contain Gmail and Gmap (at lest gmail if not gmap )

only problem m having is with my isp
cant use OTA or Alliance-rom.com as with my new isp m not able to visit that
It does include gmail and maps. I think you maybe did a factory reset or something in recovery before flashing so data wasnt mounted. Uncheck wipe in allianceOTA amd reflash from OTA

thing is i was on CM based ROm and
i just wiped everything formt system and
flashed zip
but i was stuck on boot logo
so i flashed Robbies RE and flashed this
after wiping again everything (not system this time)
m i missing anything else
as i dnt want to flash again
but if m missing many other cool things then
i wouldn't mind flashing again

BLN work fine in missed calls, but with go sms, isn't working, any ideas? When screen goes off, leds turn off too.

BTW, I know you posted to use TWRP to flash but it should be noted that TWRP may not play well when restoring backups on NE5.
I get apps force closing whenever I try to restore with TWRP the custom rom I am running so I use Philz Recovery to do nandroid backups & restores and TWRP for everything else.

I'm not sure what's going on with TWRP on restores with NE5. It may still work with a closer to stock NE5 build. I used to be able to restore, run 'fix permissions' and everything would be fine. But I noticed that the apps that are force closing are located in system/priv-app and it doesn't appear that TWRP is doing the permissions fix for that folder so at some point it just quit working for me. Like I said, just wanted to point it out so there is no confusion if people try to use it for backups and restores and it stops working for them.
TWRP has been working fine for me. I've restored system, data, boot, and modems using it with no issue. If it helps i don't use compression on backups and am using the latest recovery from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/klte

Right on. It works fine for me too for selective restores, flashing full roms, custom mods etc. It just quit working on full restores. There is nothing more frustrating than wiping the phone and trying to restore a full backup that doesn't run properly. LOL
Like I said, I'm not running exactly stock NE5 any longer either.
At some point, I really need to backup everything and do another proper full wipe of the phone including internal and external SD to see if that makes any difference. BUT, I'm not the only one reporting this issue with TWRP and the NE5 build so take it all with a grain of salt.
Edit: Also, my issue with TWRP restores is with both internal and external SD. Tried that at least.

IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE MODEM AND BOOTLOADER USED FOR THE OFFICIAL ROM

It's very important to have a copy of the EFS folder.
-Install Phil's recovery that never fails, TWRP fails sometimes.
-Put the rom on your external memory card.
-Reboot in recovery mode.
-Then Click on wipe data / clean new Rom.
-Then press delvink Wipe cache and cache.
-Now go to Install and search for the rom file and flash it.
-Reboot and config the rom.
-Once you've finished the system set up we advice to reboot on recovery mode and wipe dalvik cache and cache once more, then reboot.
-Now you're good to go.
The dev recommends to disable animations within developer settings for greater fluidity.

I've just installed Kurama, and it seems that SIM card was not recognized, even though i was on COJ3 5.1.1 before, as advised.
I see IMEI and all info in About.
Any ideea?

I had to flash latest supersu separate to get root. I also flashed xposed so that I can get camera working with 560 dpi. Did anyone else have problems with systemui not working after flashing the themed one. I settled for Samsung GoodLock in the end. Other than that, a good start that will get better quickly knowing how great kazica is.

--If there is a drop in battery then charge it to 100%.
--Use your phone till Low on battery and don't plug in between.
--Now charge it full again and that's it.
PS: You must not plugin or charge phone again and again till low battery warning. Charge it when low battey warning comes and then charge it full and then so on....

Just installed this ROM, so far is great, but may i ask how can i change Blue color of the menu that appears when you swipe down the notification bar?

That color accords to you theme, so if you want to change it, you will have to change theme and restart systemui.

Nice rom. I have got one problem. I've got operator name and signal but not internet. I can download internet settings with wifi but it do nothing. I can't use operator internet without my wifi internet. Any ideas how to repair this?

Which model you have, 6653 or 03?
If 03 then wait for some time i will update patch for 03 and 33 seperately soon. This may solve your issue.

Why GPS takes a long time to lock or never locks?
Did you check here?
First time you flash the ROM in safestrap you don't need to flash kernel or firmware it is built into ROM. But if you boot back into safestrap without install the ROM you will need to flash oc1 kernel. After installing your first app from Google playstore phone might reboot but that is a one time issue because google services is updating while it happens.

Here is link. On first time rom boots into setup nfc error will pop up just hit ok then you will never see it again even on reboots. NFC does work. I found no bugs so far. This link is the lastest version I added tweaks to the build.prop

Could you go more in depth on getting xposed and viper4android working? I tried flashing the xposed framework last night and ended up in a boot loop, and the viper4android driver failed to install.
I'm building a thread that will include very in depth guides on everything related to the AT&T note 3 root, safestrap, flashfire, current ROMS, etc but I seem to be stuck with this particular build.

Excellent! I'll post results later this evening, anything on Viper4android? The app doesn't seem to be showing up in the launcher but I see it in the system apps. Other than those 2 things everything is working flawlessly.
Edit: Just saw your post on maybe denying viper on SU. One second, I'll try again.

I sure wasn't, but just tried to install using Sound Control and it still failed, do you think it might be because I tried a normal install prior to using Sound Control?

Is the driver installed? If you downloaded viper4android try clearing data from the app. Also keep in mind viper4android doesn't work with Samsung music player or even some.
