Logitech Samsung Galaxy Case and Keyboard - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Accessories

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-003594-Samsung-Galaxy-Case/dp/B005KSATVC/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Anyone using this for their 7.7? I'm assuming that the keyboard will work fine, wondering about the tab's fit in the slot (portrait or landscape), and also if the tab fits in the case snugly or floats around.
Thanks.

Don't have that but am eying this one

Seems to have a good review and is more compact as well as works with all platforms. Waiting to see if it comes down a little on price.

Looks nice but it would be nice to have a slot to prop the tab on, but very nice looking nonetheless

It is way to big for the 7.7.
The keyboard is designed to be a case and keyboard.
It may hold the 7.7 in the slot but it will not fit as a case.
Here are some links that may help:

At Amazon, it is inexpensive so why not get one and let us know what you think.

Thanks. I realized later that the 10.1 Tab actually fits inside, I didn't make that connection earlier. I might get this one, but will continue to look. The major bummer of this device is that because it didn't sell well at all, the accessory pool is so limited.

A Keyboard/Case combo is fine for a larger tablet, but for 7" I found that something like that would make the keyboard way too small/cramped to make it worth using. When I need to use a hardware keyboard, I either plug the old wired keyboard I have that was for the Samsung Q1U UMPC or the HP wireless one I bought that connects via USB dongle (need OTG adapter for it).
I like both of these because they have built-in pointing devices and you don't have to reach up from the keyboard to touch the screen or carry an extra mouse to move the cursor. If you look at the pic below, you'll see two round buttons on the upper left and right sides of the keyboard and that's for the optical mouse and left click (press down on the optical mouse sensor to get a right-click).
I bought this thing for $35 last year, but now just noticed the prices have shot through the roof at $90! Here's the cheapest one I could find: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-WIRELESS-MINI-KEYBOARD-LK752AA-ABL-BLACK-/271138360926?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item3f211b0e5e

New Keyboard and Case on Order

Just ordered the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for Android and the STM Skinny Case.
Will let you know what I think after they arrive. If anyone else already has either, let us know what you think.
STM Case
Logitech Keyboard
Edit:
The case is is listed as an official accessory in the Sony Store.

I like the look and feel of the case. It feels sturdy and and has a no slip surface. There is no velcro required or anything stuck to the tablet. The tablet just snaps into place. The only negative I have is that it won't sit in the cradle with the case on. It's really easy to remove the tablet from the case, so to me it's not that big of a deal.
Tested IR and it works fine. Have not tested DNLA because I don't currently use it.

Looks cool!
Shame is it not available in the UK
I just ordered the official one

I live in Singapore and they do not deliver to Singapore. I wonder who can help me to buy?
Recieved the Logitech keyboard today. The combo keyboard case/tablet stand works out nicely. The keyboard case has magnetic locks, but does not keep the keyboard from sliding out if upside down. It flips open to make a nice adjustable tablet stand. Although I won't need the stand since the STM case has a built in stand.
Bluetooth connection was a snap. I just pulled the battery connectors from the keyboard, searched for bluetooth devices on my Sony Tablet and typed the requested passcode on the keyboard.
Typed this response with the Logitech keyboard.
Will post reviews and pictures when I get the case.

Can you please address how the case impacts IR/DLNA functionality upon arrival? Your insight is appreciated, thanks.
Thanks for the update. Hmmmm... I wonder whether it can be demasked with some fabric cleaner and a brush.

Case with keyboard!

I've just received my cover with usb keyboard that I had bought 16 days ago ( http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-White-Co...ltDomain_0&hash=item3cbfe707a6#ht_3415wt_1396 )
The keyboard has a good feeling and the folio fits very well on it.
I've noticed that it covers the hdmi port, so I can be a problem if someone wants to use the case while having the hdmi connected

Painkiller.. ive bought the case from ebay.. and its not bad.. only problem all blue/special keys cause reboot.. any solution
the pen coming with the case must be replaced by another (cost 10$)..
Hello, already bought it. Will test.
With the prelast JB release the special keys work and the keyboard is 100% fully operative
[Review] GoClever 10" (Black) keyboard case
Good:
1. You have a keyboard.
2. Your Folio is protected.
3. Writing is much faster.
Bad:
1. You need to cut down the 2 bottom legs, so you insert tablet without scratching the back of the case.
2. You need to remove the little cover that covers the miniUSB, USB and HDMI, so you could insert the usb device more easily.
3. The holding border covers HDMI.
4. Pressing Caps Lock, num Lk and Scr Lk crash your Folio.
5. The magnetic lock is weak.
6. Drains battery faster.
7. Tablet with case is mush heavier.
Hi there
I've got a following question about this cover. Is there possibility to open this case and take off the keyboard if I don't want to use it, or just open this case that keyboard would be on the back of the tablet? If case is closed isn't keyboard making scraches on the screen of the tablet? Is it working well for you?

Case
Hey, I know it's been sometime since the launch of folio100, but I never bought a case for mine, and I'm looking for one now. I searched for the original Toshiba Leather Case but it seems it is a discontinued product in the market. So, does any 10.1" case fit my folio? If anyone has suggetions of nice folio cases, post it.
Thanks
P.S. Does the keyboard that comes with the cases work good with the folio 4.1 CM10?

Wanting to make this.

I want to make a tablet or lapdock for my note. I have attached a sketch of my.ideas. It seems simple enough. I would make it out of wood probably and cover it in carbon fiber film.

I would like that also and have always wanted to make one. My guess would be to take apart a Netbook and somehow make the keyboard / pad Bluetooth and connect the screen through the mhl adapter.
If I'm not terribly busy this weekend I might start on it.
It would probably be good to just use the shell from a netbook. The lcd wouldn't be hdmi. And the mouse and keyboard wouldn't be Bluetooth. I bought a cheap small Bluetooth keyboard from ebay that i can use for it. I had a netbook shell but threw it out.

Yup, netbook shell, then a small HDMI monitor, then speakers and battery source.
Obviously it wouldn't be the prettiest thing but should be simple enough. Maybe put a nfc tag in there that automatically starts up Ubuntu?

Palm Folding Bluetooth Keyboard 3245WW

Hey guys! I just bought a Palm Folding Bluetooth Keyboard for my Note. I thought it would be the perfect companion for my Note especially since I have a case with a kickstand. Do any of you have one? How well does it work? Mine won't get here until next week so...

How much?
I bought it used for $29.99 + $5.00 shipping, they seem to be MUCH more expensive everywhere else on eBay.. funny I believe these were cheaper before the iPad came out and "Tablets" became popular.
The issue with my by keyboard (not palm) is that every time I connect it makes me switch to the Samsung soft keyboard. Total pain.

My Moto BT keyboard switches the phone to Samsung kb also. It must be either 2.3.6 or TW doing it, rather than our hardware. But it is a pia to switch back every time.

have the same one, but branded HP. It works well, i wrote a guide somewhere here (topic titled "just got this for my note!") the only thing is, the note wont stand up in portrait mode of the stand, and to make it work in landscape you have to clip off the two protruding tabs on the flip up stand.

Mine no longer does anything when I press and hold the BT pairing key in the top left; oddly at first at did give me blinkies and my N7 saw it, but had trouble pairing. I've tried numerous batteries and even voltage tested to make sure they were good.Anyone have suggestions?

[Q] Samsung Infuse Car Dock and the Optimus G

I know this seems odd, but does anyone here have an old Samsung Infuse car dock that they could test and see if the Optimus G will work in? According to the dimensions, the Optimus G is in between the Infuse and the Galaxy S III. The GS3 fits into the Infuse car dock, so I bet the Optimus G will fit. If so that would be awesome since the Infuse car dock is dirt cheap.
Also, I noticed the Optimus G floor model at AT&T came pre-loaded with the Car Home app. So maybe they are working on an OEM car dock anyways.
Thanks
Shawn
I'd like to know as well; it actually might work with a case based upon the thickness specs.
I'll let you know, I ordered one for 5$.

Cool, thanks!
My optimus came in today and I was able to modify the car dock to make the optimus g fit. It took a good amount of dremilling to make it fit and isn't the prettiest job, but it works and the usb lines up and charges the phone.

As you can see I did a hack-job on this.... I think I need some better/different dremel attachments.
But, this shows that it is possible to get the Samsung Infuse car dock for next to nothing and you can make it work.
By the way, the extra hole in the dock was for the speaker on a SGS3.
Thanks for posting this.
Where did you get the dock for cheap?
Does the aux out function from the dock work with the optimus?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
It looks like you got it to fit without a case. Do you think there is enough material in the dock to take more out to get it to fit with something like the BodyGlove case?
Update:
Found a Infuse case at an AT&T store. Paid 5 bucks for it. The phone will fit the case if you take a pair of pliers and bend the corners back a bit. I find it works best to bend the corners close to the charging base more than the corners on the other side.
Also, there is no audio out from the mount. You have to plug the aux cable into the phone to get it to work.

I don't think this will work with any case. There really is not a whole lot of wiggle room, and the micro-usb part of the dock that slides into the phone has to align perfectly.
